Let me start out by saying I love the mother of the son who owns Jolly donuts she has always been very kind to myself and my children. I have been a customer since 2013. The mother got so use to me and my children we began to grow a bond over the years. i Also spoke to CHarlie the son and he often joked with me. Over the years his wife would over charge me for things and it was literally the price would jump overnight. I'd go in the night before and the mom would charge me one price or another worker would charge the same price and the wife the next day always upped the price on me. So I asked her when did the price change last night it was this much. Then she'd get in a rude stance and accuse me of wanting things for free. She was referring to her mother in law who would sometimes give me free donuts for the family. The wife continued her hatred towards me over the years and accuse me of all kinds of things of wanting stuff for free when I paid all the time. Fast forward 2026 she served me something I did not want and I relayed nIcely to her that it was not what I wanted. Then in front of my daughter she begins to tell me I'm always trouble and continues to accuse me of being unpleasant. I say to her I'm just asking for what I want then she turns to my daughter and says you know how your mother can be. At this point I told her don't you ever talk to my daughter and tTy to manipulate her to saying undesirable things about me in front of me. Like my daughter was going to side with her and when she did not she got angry. She crossed the line she then begins to shout get out of my store which she always wanted to do because it's the only power she has. She has been very dirty mean for years and friends have witnessed her behavior. 13 years of loyalty to a local shop and because the wife is uncomfortable with the relationships I have with the owner and her mother in law she found ways to always be insecure and contentious. So my son went in the shop about 2 weeks ago to get some things for himself and she turned around and gave him free donuts. She did not know he was my son. He came home and told me. So it's not the fact that free stuff is given she had a problem because it was me. I am a melanin woman (African Decent) She hates "black" women. She gives the African Man free donuts but treats the African Woman with disrespect. I was shocked. Any African people who go in there be aware specifically the women. This woman is rude, jealous and doesn't care about the community of people she will pick fights with the African women that she thinks is a threat to her. What a shame that this is going on when she herself is an immigrant. The ancestors of mine paved the way for her to have a donut shop to take care of her family. Instead of being grateful to have freedom to have a Buisness she uses it to choose to pick fights with some of the shops long time supporters. No one corrects her and because I did she used her "this is my shop" get out of here tactics. The building isn't hers the land isn't hers , the rent is. If she keeps the tyrannical routine up she won't have a shop to come too. Customer service is key and every time she does this she jeopardizes her own space. Pray for all who is around her she is filled with sorrows of many kinds and hatred for herself. Pray over your food when you deal with her. If you find yourself in a bad mood through out the day just remember who served you in the break-fast of the day. read more

I also enjoy their Honeydew smoothie which is a honeydew smoothie topped with whipped cream. The blended green tea with non-dairy cream and a topping of whipped cream is also a great choice. From a sandwich perspective, their Ham And Cheese Sub Sandwich with Mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles and cheese is a great choice. The staff is amazing and always helpful. read more

This place used to be Lee's donuts many years ago (like 20 yrs ago!!). Anyway, we haven't gone very often since they changed to Jolly's and it's okay. They were open the day before Thanksgiving and it was busy. Tons of customers waiting for sandwiches so maybe we should try those next time. We got a normal dozen for $17 and a baggie of donut holes for $2.50. They defaulted to giving us the small donuts for glazed, chocolate etc. No extras. BUUUUT, the lady working there: PHEW! talk about personality, speed, care, connectivity, and memory. i think i saw a minimum of 15 folks come in and out QUICKLY, happily and not without a few one liners of familiarity or kindness. You can tell she serves a large population regularly, with grace, and speaks spanish as well. stellar service. also: they sell prepackaged ramen bowls (the good ones), paint buckets, fresh juice, and ice for you construction folk in a time crunch. read more

Lived locally to this place for years and was a regular, I moved away and every time I come back for a visit the very first thing I do is come here. Absolutely superb location! This place has the worst costumer service there is! The lady that is "normally" assisting on the clerk and serving the customers should be more attentive and not being rude with a bad attitude making customers feel that they're not untitled to asked for anything. She would always give attitude when asked for a 2nd or 3rd plastic bag when I a purchase for 3 different family members of mine and making it seem like I'm asking for them without purchasing anything from the shop. Her Attitude is obviously beyond rude and she should seriously consider not attending customers. I normally don't write any reviews here on yelp, but this time I felt it needed to. Nice staff and clean donut shop :) it is located on the corner of Desoto Avenue and Roscoe in Canoga Park. easily accessible with plenty of parking. Jolly's is your local donut shop that always has the standard donuts everyone loves such as twisty donuts, glaze, sprinkle donuts etc. It is a family owed donut shop and the owner although had a little bit of a language barrier was amazingly nice and attentive. Very bad service. The owner is very rude, disrespectful and racist. I asked her for a decaf frappe and she said she wouldn't open a container of decaf just for one drink. O.M.G.! This is the epitome of hole-in-the-wall, mom-and-pop, hidden gem type of donut shop! Everything in this place is awesome! The ice coffee is strong and has a great coffee aroma. Great black or with vanilla flavoring. The sandwichs are sooooo f-ing good. Makes you question what magic they put in there because it's just a simple sandwich with bread and meat. The five stars reflect the fresh and delicious donuts only. Particularly their classic yummy glaze donuts. You need to buy them in the morning. Don't go in the afternoon they won't be as good. The street corner this place is located on is sketchy. I always feel odd parking in the tiny lot and there are always groups of men hanging around outside and inside. It makes it a little uncomfortable. The people who run it are not mean but they are not nice either. There don't seem to be any specials or deals or loyalty rewards. It's like a no frills donut shop. The owner of these place are very friendly & attentive, very professional. There price of there food is affordable. There place is clean they follow the guidelines for Covid situation.
