I went to Eagle Vision Over to get an eye exam and a referral since I needed a YAG procedure. The doctor gave me an eye exam told me I needed glasses before I had the procedure. I told him I didn't want glasses, I wanted contacts. I was talked into getting glasses for those days contacts didn't feel good. The glasses left me feeling like I was in a fish bowl. Everything warped and disturbed. They insisted the prescription was right. It worsened after my procedure. I had to go in for a follow-up and yes my prescription changed. I again said I wanted contacts. We talked about gas permiable lenses. And he told the young lady that was taking notes that he was good with me getting contact lenses. Everything was measured. When I requested my script so I could get them cheaper else where they did not include my contact script. When I contacted them about it I was told they didn't have one. I expressed my anger very politely. I was told since I was going to need to be checked in a couple of months they would not honor my contact prescription, and wouldn't give it to me. I'm other words it's all about the money. The glasses they insisted I purchase still don't work. No matter what I say they will not fix this issue. Please please please save your money!! They are the worst optometrists I in Idaho. read more

The doctors are GREAT, the staff AWESOME but the quality of their product is a disaster. Purchased two pair, high-end frames and the frames have been replaced 5 times because they have failed. I recommend buying your glasses someplace else. Eagle One thinks these failures are ok and they noted I will get new glasses in a few months but NOT FROM THEM. Brief history: I purchased these frames two critical reasons and a third. First the fit nice and snug. Due to my lenses glasses often slip down my noise, a significant issue for me. Purchased two pair on 10/22/2024 for $966.00 First pair picked up 11/3/2024, and second on 11/13/2024 I believe between 11/13/2024 and Feb 20, 2025 there were several visits regarding frames slipping. The first day I have notes of frame issue is Feb 20, 2025. I believe there were several visits from Feb 20 to July where I went in due to frame slipping down. I finally figured out why the glasses were slipping down my noise and I would have to push them up 3-5 times per hour was on July 17, 2025 when I compared the two frames, one had the rubber ear section and one had them missing. First frame replaced. On Aug 4, 2025 frame replaced again On Aug 13, 2025 another frame replace (waved $25 fee) On Sept 8 2025 both frames were replaced, and I meet with Eagle Vision One Management to bring up the issues. No options as it was outside the 30 or 90 day window. (waved the $25 fees) On Oct 22 Frame failure again, replaced with display model (offer to pay the 25 fee but waved) They would have allowed me to choose new frames if they had failed within 90 days. Quality products are not their game. read more

One star is just for the kindness of the front desk staff! The rest is on the Optometrist and assisting staff! My senior disabled mother came in to Eagle Vision one for a new patient exam in May, to understand if her prescription may have changed as it had been about two years since she'd been seen by anyone. She was having difficulties seeing with her eyeglasses. She had eyes checked by Dr Gideon C. Bender, OD; and was told her prescription had changed and also she had dry eyes, so eye drops were also prescribed. We ordered new lenses through the clinic, using what the doctor prescribed, (as common when a prescription changes). When the lenses came in a few weeks later in June, she brought them her frames so the new lenses to be cut and mounted. When she tried them on, one eye worked fine and yet, the other eye's lense was unable to see anything at all! So, they checked to see if the lense was put in wrong and the prescription was right - it all was aligned. She could still not see out of the right eye! So, they put her old lense back into her frame for just the right eye and left the new lense in the left. We paid for two lenses but walked away with only one lense that actually worked! I said the dr needed to figure this out, because she should be able to see out of BOTH lenses, based on her exam just weeks prior - the lenses werw ordered based on what HE prescribed! We were called back later that day by the front desk clerk and told the response they got from the doc was to tell us that because she had previously had cataract surgery, it was that which was failing. YET - AT NO TIME during her initial appt was this converyed to her! It seemed like a CYA situation - not being able to see out of the prescibed lense, was blamed on my mother - as the patient?! She did nothing wrong to deserve this kind of failure in medical care! It seems highly predatory to charge someone for prescription lenses and yet the prescription itself, does NOT do what it's supposed to! If cataracts actually were an issue - we should have been told this AT HER INITIAL APPT and given options for correction of this DURING THE INITIAL DR. VISIT! I was shocked that an educated doctor would respond to anyone this way! I told them my next steps would be reporting the incident, because I couldn't tell if this was malpractice or malicious or a civil rights violation due to my mother being senior and disabled! The Dr called us the next day and left a msg to discuss, but after what was told to us by his staff - we had heard enough! We have yet to hear back from them on a re-exam or correction of her prescription lense, at all. My mother is using an old prescription lense for just one eye and the new lense in the other. We are unsure what kind of long term damage this may be causing her. I witnessed everything at both appts because i am her caregiver and am with her for every appt due to her hearing loss and need for assistance! She's on Medicaid so the lenses were fully covered, but she only got one replacement lense that actually worked - and they charged her for both!! unsure if this could be considered Medicaid fraud when the optometrist doesnt give the correct prescription and charges for two lenses when only one was actually received - but it's definitely negligent on their part, to give an exam and a new prescription that doesnt work! We are reporting all to the state licencing board, Dept of Health & Welfare and the Atty General's office, as well! Our next steps to retain legal assistance may need to wait until we can get a second option by a new Dr. She's deaf too - she needs to fully see again to help her live life - Its just not right to treat people this way and offer nothing more to help make it right! This is not on the staff - I believe in these cases, it's the optometrist and his negligence that should be investigated! read more

I got my contacts and my reading glasses from Eagle Vision One. I'm very happy with the Vision doctor side, but a little disappointed with the sales side. I requested to have the high index lenses and because my prescription was on the cusp of them using a 1.67 high index lenses they decided to just give me the Polycarbonate lenses. The sales associate did not listen to me request so when I picked up my glasses I noticed this so then I questioned the lenses. I ended up having to pay the difference as they could not back out my VSP benefits. Please make sure they repeat exactly what you're asking for. read more

Another eye infection... called in & they were so kind & helpful... couldn't get me in right away so sent in antibiotic drops for me to start in interim (had the issue twice before & I had photos & good descriptions... so helpful that they r proactive & willing to do ph consult in I rerun. My husband and I have been happy customers of the Optical side of Eagle Vision One when buying multiple eyeglasses here across four-ish years for regular use and sunglasses as well has having existing frames re-purposed by them with new lenses - as in turning a fav frame from an older pair of single vision glasses into "hard to do" reader prescription for me. Every experience has been top notch from the skilled staff assistance from selection through fit and finish. Yesterday was my first experience with Optometry care. My appointment with Dr. Warner was similarly excellent for the interaction with staff and the exam and time he spent talking with me about my eye issues related to my medical diagnosis and recommendations. (I have had MS since age 20 and it carries with it vision complications.) Given our great experiences, I'm surprised by an under 4-star Yelp average. But if you take the time to read behind Yelp's filter, you'll find a plethora of positive reviews which if posted with the others here would raise that total way up. OPTICAL - SERVICE: They do both contact lenses and eyeglasses and hit the rare sweet spot of being a large provider to offer a lot of options in frames but also with a "every customer counts" focus from well trained staff who know the product lines and also have the skills to help select frames that best fit your face, lifestyle, age and budget. We appreciate the "we're glad you're here" customer care from everyone we've worked with in optical staff. Their good work has earned our trust. To illustrate how patient they are with everyone, I share that one woman, who was in the store was in tears over recent loss of a loved one and strained finances as a result. The Vision One person assisting her was kind to acknowledge this woman's loss and bent over backwards taking a lot of time to work through frame options that would fit her limited budget. Buying eyeglass frames is 'big investment' for both my husband and me given the lens quality we choose and his need for progressives. The selection process can be more difficult for me given I wear a smaller frame size that is less often made and if made harder to find stocked in display rooms. I appreciate that Eagle Vision One carries some brands that make a few of the smaller sizes and are willing to order frames in the right size for me to try. Frames that don't work go to their inventory on the sales floor. Very nice. (Not all Optical providers will do this.) It takes all the risk out of it for the customer - and builds customer loyalty. I also offer a note of appreciation that the young optical staff here understands that we who are umm...more well seasoned...wearers of spectacles still care about style. That isn't always so for other optical providers. Good on 'em at Eagle Vision One for being willing to focus on style too for all ages. OPTICAL - FRAME BRANDS: They carry a broad selection in options from higher end lines like Coach, Kate Spade, Gucci, Prada, Jimmy Choo (yep, the high heels guru puts his name on glasses too), Silhouette, Hugo Boss, Carerra, Ray Ban...and so on. They also carry more mid range for price including brands like Flexon, Nike, Juicy Couture and Nine West. Many or most of these are all different lines out of big conglomerate eye frame entities like Safilo or Luxotica. They do not carry 0artisan frame lines like Bevel, SALT, State, Face a Face and Barton Perreira. Lines we like. We are so happy with the quality of service and finished product from Eagle Vision One that the only reason we ever visit another optical store is to look at artisan brands we like but not carried here. For some we would still bring the frames here for the lens work to be done given the top quality of their lens maker. I am now at a place in life where I appreciate the materials and workmanship in these brands and can afford to pay for them too. If I could change one thing at Vision One it would be for them to be able to add a couple of these artisan brands to their line up. PARKING: Easy in private lot. ACCESSIBILITY: Accessible parking in lot, the store is level in and all on one floor and seating for eyeglass review and order is at standard height. Loo is accessible. So are eye exam rooms. SPECIAL OFFER: Whether from time to time or always, it seems they have an offer where if the same customer orders two eyeglasses at the same time there is a discount (30%?) on the second pair. I went in today to get my glasses tightened. I bought them there over a year ago. They asked me to sign a waiver that if my glasses broke while they tighten a screw that they aren't responsible. That I would have to buy new glasses but they would give me a 20% discount!! I have bought at least 4 pairs there. My husband too. I love have spent 1,000's there. I signed the stupid waiver cause my glasses were loose but I won't buy anymore there. If they can't tighten a couple screws without breaking them then they should replace them!! I accidentally stepped on my prescription glasses damaging one of the arms and popping a lens out. I called the office staff who said to come in and they'd take a look at them. I was met by a happy woman at the front desk and directed to sit in a fitting station. Hunter sat down, looked at my glasses, and said he'd try his best to repair them, and noted that the adjustment might break the arm off. Myself and my kids have been coming to this location for over 15 years now Dr. Warner and his staff have always been professional and courteous and personable. We have never had an issue with glasses or contacts and there are three out of the 5 of us that that have had to wear them. Dr. Warner always askes about the children who are now adults and live in other states and remembers them by name. Our youngest goes to see him now and he always makes her feel welcome and comfortable. He asks her about her siblings which always makes her feel special he remembers them. Today, I called in to order contacts for my son ( didn't give her my name) and the young lady that answered said" it looks like you have a birthday coming up Happy Birthday". I see some of the reviews about the staff being not nice or liking selected people and I can say that is simply not the case. Over the years the staff has changed and we only go in once a year this young lady didn't personally know me or remember me but, saw I had a birthday coming up.. I also like that they use state-of-the-art technology and I don't mind paying a little extra for that. This has been the worst experience I have ever had at the eye doctors. There was a complete lack of customer service. The receptionists seem to have personal vendetta's against a select few of their clients, they are rude and completely unprofessional. Quite frankly I don't know how they have not been fired. They also have been unreliable on keeping my eye records, and only seem to care about the $$$. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Some advice? I went to pick up some contacts and I was told on the phone by some manger over the phone they allowed split payment I confirmed this twice and was told yes I come in to pick them up and the gal in the front was very kind and said no problem but then there was an issue and she went to the back for about 10 min and came out and said we can't do that but we can give you half a box and you can get the other half when you pay the rest which was odd but I said sure! And then the manger came out a women with short blonde hair and pregnant didn't get a name but she was so rude right off the bat didn't explain kindly why or what was wrong just that this absolutely could not be done and she insisted I didn't speak with anyone on the phone and it wasn't her in a snappish tone. If I could give this place a zero star review I would. I had been going to this eye doctor for a couple years now and at their previous location their service was tolerable because the doctors themselves were of good quality. Yet every time I have visited their new location, I was treated of the lowest regard. The receptionists and occasionally the doctors were extremely rude and unprofessional. They messed up my billing and prescriptions three times and refused to even apologize for their mistakes, let alone fix them. I have never been treated worse in any kind of establishment. I had stayed with this company out of sheer laziness to switch doctors and complete paperwork, and I sincerely regret giving them so many chances. My advice? Just steer clear of this place and save yourself some trouble. read more

After 5 trips, first being the exam, I still do not have my glasses. They have put the incorrect prescription lenses in multiple times. I have never had to go back this many times for one pair of glasses in my life. We also ordered safety glasses for my son, which took many weeks due to their lab breaking the glasses and making the lenses too small (this is what we were told was the reason). I went in to Eagle Vision One for the first time for an annual eye exam and new glasses. The whole staff, from check-in to check-out, was wonderful! This office had much newer updated equipment than the office I had been going to, so a lot of the exam was new to me. Coty was so helpful explaining everything. Dr. Bender checked my eyes and took the time to show me pictures of my retinas and explain in detail what he saw. He was friendly and professional. As a retired nurse, I especially appreciate the way he treats his staff, explaining things patiently without the slightest air of condescension. Excellent experience from start to finish. Highly personable staff, very nice high-end space, modern technology that speeds the process. They have a very large selection they glasses to choose from. Appointment started right on time and each exam and it's purpose was explained to me. They even have a machine that eliminates the need to dilate your eyes $39 extra, not all insurance covers though, so you can still use traditional dilate method too). The staff has been friendly and efficient. I've had little to no wait time. I felt my eye exam was very thorough. After a bad experience at a discount place, I had confidence they would get it right and they did. I was told the lenses would be ready in a week and they were. Excellent quality and the prescription was right on. They communicated with me at a high level. It's a professional operation and I felt treated well and appreciated as a customer. Most incompetent place I've seen in a long time. I'm a disabled veteran and had an appointment scheduled by the VA. 5pm the night before the appointment they called me to say the authorization from the VA was expired. They wanted me to pay cash for something paid for by the VA. They then blamed Covid and the VA. I guess covid inhibits the ability to read. It is disgusting that they would blame their incompetence on the VA and covid. I can guarantee you that I will never go to that place read more

Although I do like the doctors and the atmosphere I am very dissatisfied by the product they carry. I've been wearing glasses for over 20 years, and the first pair of frames I bought from them have now broken three times with light, evening use (I wear contacts during the day). I was told after the second time they broke that they would replace them, but only what I paid out of pocket. I have insurance, so basically I was told I would have to buy a new frame myself unless I wanted these crap frames repaired instead. I think that a company should stand behind their product, and now that a month later they've broken AGAIN I'm not under the warranty and out of luck. I'd rather spend my money with a company that cares that they're selling crap at outrageous prices, so I don't plan on returning. read more

My wife took my daughter into get an eye exam done on 6/15 and we left with no prescription (unknowing to us it is required they provide it). We wanted to look online at Eyeconic.com for eyeglasses as recommended by our Insurance Company VSP. We chose glasses through Eyeconic.com, they contacted Eagle Vision One several times for the prescription and finally got it. In the meantime I had 3 other kids taken to Eagle Vision One and I found out afterward it is required by the FTC that a prescription be given to the patient even without asking. After Eyeconic received the prescription and started making the glasses we discovered that the PD measurement wasn't measured for any of my kids. I called Eyeoconic and was told that Eagle Vision one provided the PD with the prescription and the lenses were made so we called Eagle Vision One who let us know they didn't measure for it and lied to Eyeconic. We ended up having to take all four kids back into Eagle Vision one to have PD measured and get a copy of the prescription that is again required by the FTC to be given at time of service. I got back on the phone with Eyeconic and fortunately enough they are not going to charge me for Eagle Vision One lying about my daughters PD. read more

He always takes extra time to answer any questions I have and even took the time to see me immediately when I had an eye emergency. The office staff is fantastic. My entire family goes here. My 14 year old daughter recently got contacts and Chelsea was so patient in helping her learn how to use. I have gone here for the last few years! Service was ok but not great! The ONLY reasons I continued to go there was because I like the dr and it is close to my work! The last visit is my final visit! I was the only customer at the time yet was hurried along by the assistant who helped me. She seemed annoyed when I brought a friend in to make the final decision (which people often bring help)! Finally found glasses (discussed contacts) and sunglasses ordered them and was told that two weeks they would be in! At the two week mark I called... I was put on hold and left on hold. Called again... Hung up on! Called again... This time she said she would call me back and didn't! Finally called almost everyday until I got through and was told my glasses had been ready for more than a week!!!!!!!!! I went in to pick them up and was hurried along again. Thought I was done! Nope! While packing things up a year later I found a receipt... Apparently I had prepaid for contacts! Had no memory of agreeing to this but I assumed responsibility! Called them they had no record... I inform them of the receipt I am looking at and the lady quickly found the $270 I prepaid! She was not nice nor was she helpful. At one point she thought she had put me on hold (which she didn't) and proceeded to say things sarcastically like "ok then" and "this is nice"! I let her continue to sigh and show how mad she was she had to help me! Finally after 5 or so min. Of "being on hold" she came back on the line not knowing I heard her the entire time! She tells me she will call me back in two weeks because of the holiday. No call came! So i called again! I was put on hold and left on hold. Called again... Hung up on! Called again... This time she said she would call me back and didn't! So I called again the next day! Was told I needed to talk to the office manager but he was out until next week! I called a week later and he gave me a hard time for waiting more than a year to take care of this and I told him that this was my 6+ call to the office to resolve this issue! He agrees to give me the $120 (about) refund I have been waiting for! I became very upset and informed him that I have a receipt for $270. He quickly back tracked and tried to make it seem that he had overlooked the remaining money (just like the lady who answered the phone). He finally agreed to give me a refund and that I can expect it in my mail box next week! Never came! Still waiting for a refund more than a month later almost two months now! My son has been a patient there for a few years, with insurance coverage. Recently without coverage we called to see what cash pay would be. We were quoted a price for a regular contact exam of about $100. We made the appointment, he was seen, final cost $195, this included a non necessary uncovered procedure that he was charged for. Absolutely feel taken advantage of, could get the same service anywhere else for the $100 originally quoted. They are scam artists and are up charging for unnecessary testing. This did not even include contacts, which he now has to go back for... and be charged more. Don't waste your money here... read more

I am leaving a review because I noticed two negative ones when I went to look up their phone number. I've been seeing Dr. Sorenson for about 15 years. He is incredible. All of the staff that have come and gone during that time period are awesome as well. Treat them kindly and they'll treat you kindly back (I saw a complaint about the staff... I wonder who these patients are because I've always had wonderful assistants). My eyes have always been well taken care of and vision has always been corrected to 20-20 or better! I've had my share of eye issues over the years, even losing contacts, running out prior to appointments, etc. Eagle Vision One always makes sure I'm taken care of. Less than a year ago, I caught some type of strange infection. Dr. Sorenson was on it - seeing me right away (late on an weekend evening), and then ended up referring me to Hollingshead when the issue seemed to need a specialist. It was a pretty bad infection and Dr. Sorenson did everything perfectly given the limited data and complexity of the issue. He also followed up with me and my other doctor consistently to make sure I was ok. After the ordeal he did a great job of finding a corrective lenses for my eye that had a new scar. I just can't say enough good things about him and Eagle Vision One. They all really care about people. read more
