Ordered cajun chicken Alfredo and the bread came moldy. Absolutely disgusting! Completely lost my appetite!

Like, Home-Alone-slap-your-virgin-face-with-after-shave-and-scream-levels of blown away. Not only do they have a TON of taps. Pay no attention to some of the older reviews that specify the number of taps. The current number is now: 64. I'll say that again SIXTY-FOUR taps. If there is a place in the state of AK with more taps than that, I would like to know where it is. Currently, to my brain, this place is the current Sourdough Tap King. Anyway, not only do they have the MOST taps. They have some really unique stuff. There were beers on tap here that I've never even seen for sale at the larger Brown Jug warehouses! There are beers on tap I didn't even know were distributed in AK! Most impressive. The food, was just OK. I got some tacos and they were alright. They filled me up but weren't much to write home about. Given the Gambrinian fortitude on display here, I will definitely be back. It makes an excellent post-hike stop if you're up near Twin Peaks.

We both enjoyed the HUGE pile of fresh cut French fries and appreciated they kept our water glasses full. Friendly and prompt service, reasonable prices (for the state) and appears a great selection of beer (was a work lunch so will need to return for a cold one later)

Hey there friends! We had an amazing dinner at the Glacier Brew house. Before I start, I will say…read morethat it didn't start off on the right foot due to some issues with the people at the front reception. Besides this, everything else was great so I did not deduct any stars. Let me explain. We were a party of 4 and just arriving from NY, we were hungry. We walked in at about 4:30-4:45. We asked for a table for 4. We were told the wait will be over an hour. They asked if we would like to sit at the bar area, same food and probably would get service quicker. I said sure. We both want to look for a table and there were none, so I just told the staff that we will go to the bar area and wait while having a drink. We were given a buzzer. We came across a Maria bar table with a nice couple sitting there, and 2 open seats. I asked if we could sit there and they said of course. They then Deb moved over 2 seats arguing gave us 4 seats. I was do thankful for them being so nice that I picked up their bar tab. I noticed that the dining area has at least 5 open tables for 4 and 1 for 6+. I went up to the desk and told them this. I was told they were fit reservations and I couldn't have a table. Long story short, 45 min went guy and there were still open tables, I E's not happy and let them know. By this time though, our waiter Marco cans over to us and said he would take care of us, which he did. I told the front desk to forget our table and have them the buzzer back. ** My review starts*** Marco was a great waiter taking excellent care of us. We had a great time with Marco and our new friends next to us. I ordered the halibut stuffed with crab which was outstanding. My wife ordered the salmon which was delicious as well, I particularly enjoyed the crispy skin of the salmon, yum!!! Our friends ordered the fried calamari which he enjoyed and his wife had the salmon over a Ceaser salad. To finish it off, I had to get the lava cake for dessert.....hey, why not, I'm in vacation lol! Everything was great, the food delicious, Super Marco s the best!!! Great service and a great time. Just a shame it didn't start off on the right foot. Lesson: make a reservation!!!!!

These are the real slow cooked grits not the out of a box quickie grits. Shrimp, slivers of andouille, and an egg (it says with bacon but I did not notice any). Marvelous flavors. Will do again. Carolyn had the brick oven tomato and mozzarella cheese pizza and love it. The bar had a little trouble with my drink, a Rusty Nail, but in they got it right Food is good and well prepared. Service can be a bit slow but then it was very busy. Lots of staff just busy. Great rustic interior with wood beams and open floor plan. Booths on the left for the restaurant (Reservations highly suggested). Bar and seating on the right with tables and some small booths. One TV (thank you), it was turned to a poker competition.

Comfortable seating made the dining experience cozy. Service was impeccable. Our server was friendly, engaging, and attentive without being too present or hovering. She explained menu items and specials; and didn't forget a thing! Who I assume was the manager, made sure to stop by and see how we were enjoying everything - I could tell he wants to make sure all patrons were having a good experience. The food was delicious! I had the roasted chicken special with mashed potatoes and asparagus. All prepared perfect. Chicken was moist, the sauce a unique savory flavor, and asparagus just right - not too stiff, not at all mushy. Combined with a lovely view, cheap and ample parking, I'd definitely recommend trying Crimson! I believe it's locally owned and operated- and can confirm personally they support local business. Give it a shot! I plan to come back. They have after work specials I wanna check out.

The place was small but it's not busy season yet so we were seated quickly and the food was served in a reasonable amount of time. I read another review that said the place smelled like smoke, and while it did smell a little like fry oil, I feel like the smell went away and the food and company far outweighed any odd smells. We had the mussels, crab legs, salmon dip, grilled halibut, stuffed mushrooms and Cesar salad. It was all great!

**POOR SERVICE BY THE OWNER: GROUP OF ARRIVING CRUISE CUSTOMERS**…read moreWe arrived in Anchorage after a wonderful 9-day cruise and decided to stop by Basecamp Eatery with a group of 22 people around 1 p.m. The young lady serving us was very friendly and accommodating. Our group leader had previously tried to make a reservation, but the restaurant advised us simply to come in. To streamline the ordering process, we used the menu on their website to place our orders before arriving but that did not work out. Upon our arrival and after being seated, the initial service from the young lady was pleasant. However, I noticed a change when the owner arrived and began serving some of us. The first issue I encountered was a price discrepancy of about $5.00 between the website menu and the in-restaurant menu. This discrepancy made it seem as if there was one menu for tourists and another for locals. The owner was not friendly at all; he failed to inform us, as most waitstaff would, that there would be an upcharge for certain items offered as part of the meal. When he asked, "Do you want chowder or chips?" he neglected to mention that a tiny cup of chowder cost $5.00 more, which was not worth it. Instead, he acted as if it was included in our meal until you got your bill, which is deceptive. His demeanor was cold and uncaring, and it seemed he simply wanted us to leave based on how he treated us. After delivering the food, he never returned to check on us and simply handed us the bill in a detached manner. When I questioned him about the $5.00 upcharge, he pointed to the small print on the menu without saying a word. Others in our group experienced similar treatment from him. As a managing director for a major airline with over 36 years of travel experience, I have never encountered such poor and deceptive behavior as I did at Basecamp Eatery. It seemed like he truly had a problem with customers like us. I shared my experience with our bus driver and the travel company we booked with, expressing my dissatisfaction with the restaurant. I recommended that they NEVER bring customers back to this establishment. Keep in mind that our group spent over $600 at this business, and this was the treatment we received.
