Hubby and I stopped in for late lunch because I was craving a steak salad, and there was one on the menu. Hubby had a 1/4 burger with fries and commented about what a good burger it was. The steak salad? First mouthful had me cringe with the amount of sour! The lime vinaigrette was overwhelming. I stirred up the ingredients, which were all quite tasty, and it helped disarm the intense lime taste. Stealing my hub's fries also helped. Then I placed a savory piece of steak in my mouth, and chewed, and chewed, and chewed. What a disappointing piece of meat. Great taste, mind you, but chewy, grizzly steak that ultimately ended up as a bolus in the napkin. Speaking of napkins, make good use of the one you get with the utensils. The ambiance was roomy, cool, and friendly. Though I thought it unnecessary to put the party of 8 right next to us, as there was plenty of room. Several screens of various sizes displayed baseball games galore. Clean, spacious, and a bit noisy. We'll probably go back sometime. If I order a salad it'll be with dressing "on the side." The Wings were basically a dry rub (not my thing) flavorful but not very spicy. the Tacos were good but the pineapples seemed "off" not juicy? just didn't seem right. When I mentioned to the server that my soup was cold she immediately took it back and when she returned with a hot bowl of chowder she apologized for the inconvenience. My chowder was good. It was a busy Friday happy hour at the 907. All the TVs had the NCAA games along with hockey and other sports events. I enjoyed the two discounted happy hour meals, calamari and a chowder bread bowl. Walking into this restaurant one is received by an open floor plan with the interior decorated in handcrafted woods. Everything gleans with well polished detailed wood finishes. Tables are not placed to close together and have been thoroughly cleaned. There are numerous TV screens placed high enough to see but the sound is not blaring. The menu is different with cleaver salads and appetizers. I had the spicy tuna tower which was original and delicious. There were 7 of us and we all enjoyed our separate lunch. The beer selection was quite varied including several fruit beers, my favorite has always been the Raspberry Wheat which can be hard to find. The beer was refreshingly perfectly cold and well priced. Our service was well organized. Waitress was very professional and quick to the table even when we had a late comer. We received our orders via a special server who was standing at the kitchen shelf waiting for our order and brought out 4 of the 7 plates at once, while our waitress was taking another order. Came here just for happy hour :) They had 7-8 dollar appetizers and drinks. If you're a long time Alaskan this place reminds me of an updated Sea Galley. The tacos were good but not the best same with the calamari. But what was super yummy is their bread bowl clam chowder. I dipped the calamari in the clam chowder and it was delicious... add hot sauce if you like it spicy. Next time I'll just get calamari and the bread bowl. Well .... If your looking for a loud pub house feel, this could be the place for you. Our experience was poor. The Thai chicken wraps were very tasty thank you. But the three tacos with steak - terrible. Chewy and dry meat - like bad. I have no memory of ever sending anything back to the kitchen - this one went back. The waitress was inattentive - actually just took the order and left, literally never conversed, never asked if we wanted anything, and set food on the table / receipt in the table and walked away. I have never had service like that. We said thank you and she didn't reply. It was just a very odd experience. So - we will not be back. I hope management reads this review ....
