Southern Italian in the heart of Wynwood, and yes it's Miami Spice season, but the dishes I wanted weren't on the Spice menu so I went rogue and ordered a la carte. No regrets. Started with some drinks at the bar while we waitied for our table , got the wynwood tacks which was vodka , mango and passionfruit , elderflower and ginger. My friend got the Caracas bogota which was prosecco Leche, mint, and elderflowet, we both loved our drink. For apps we went for the meatballs which were made of veal and beef, but honestly the tomato sauce they were in is what made them . Could've drank it. Then the grilled octopus had a pumpkin purée, smoked mozzarella, and glazed mushrooms and it was giving fall flavors in the middle of Miami summer, in the best way. For entrees we split the classic truffle pasta and the 'alla genovesre pasta which was a a slow cooked beef ragu. I went in expecting the truffle pasta to win my heart but the ragu had other plans. Rich, deep, slow cooked perfection. Such incredible flavor. And obviously had to close it out with the homemade pistachio gelato. It was $27 and made to order, and took a solid 30 minutes to hit the table but it was worth the wait, creamy rich and so flavorful. My one and only complain was that things moved slower than I'd have liked.but overall verdict , the food more than makes up for the wait. Just go in with patience and an appetite. read more

I came here with high hopes after reading the stellar reviews, but left very disappointed. While the food was delicious, the service was excruciatingly slow and really ruined the meal (we had been at the restaurant for nearly 2 hours when our main dishes came out, and my dining companions took their food to go because they had to get home). We enjoyed the squash blossom and burrata appetizers- they were excellent. I really enjoyed my pasta with meat sauce as well (I can't recall the name of the dish - it was one of their signature dishes). The service was truly awful. I was never asked if I wanted another drink after I finished my first cocktail, and as I mentioned, our mains took forever to come out. I truly could not believe that we arrived at 7:15pm and left close to 9:30pm without eating (or even being offered) dessert. The space was modern and elegant. One of my all-time favorite restaurants in Miami. This place is elegant, attentive, staff, and amazing food and ambience all in one period like how they have rotating specials and their main menu is good all the time and very consistent. I highly recommend the tagliatelle pass with truffles. They have the white truffle specialty and we tried that, it was incredible. I love all of the staff and it's nice that they can save you seats to the bar. They also have an outdoor patio in indoor seating as well. Great wine list and smaller as a bonus.! read more

I came here for a business dinner. What I appreciated was that we got to try everything and the portion size was small enough that I wasn't too full after everything. Of the menu, the seafood gnocchi was a surprise hit (I generally don't go for gnocchi but the squid was done tenderly) and the tuna steak was good too. I hadn't been here in ages, and today reminded me that this place is a gem-- a staple, as authentic as it gets! Located on the outer edge of Wynwood, Doma is home to one of my favorite pastas in the city. Their candele alla genovese, with a beef ragù and Parmesan espuma, is out of this world. We also had the tagliolini al tartufo nero, and it was absolute perfection! To start, we tried the beef tartare... DELISH! We paired everything with both red and white wines, and each complemented our dishes beautifully. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. We were seated right by the chefs, watching them cook up the food, which made the experience even more fun. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and really knew his stuff! And finally... dessert. This place was absolutely delicious! We started with the octopus, which was incredible--highly recommend it. We also tried the zucchini flower dumplings, which were just okay--definitely a skippable item. For drinks, I highly recommend the Leche Maronite and the Espresso Martini. Both were outstanding--perfectly balanced and not too sweet. For mains, the truffle pasta was rich and flavorful. It was a bit overpowering for my taste, but others at the table really enjoyed it. The standout for me was the lobster pasta--the tomato sauce was hands down the best I've ever had in a seafood pasta. The beef pasta was also fantastic, with a sweet red wine sauce that was absolutely delicious. The pasta is served al dente, so if you prefer it softer, I'd recommend asking for it to be cooked a bit longer. The highlight of the entire experience was the Sachertorte dessert--I would honestly come back just for that. Amazing food, great ambiance--I'll definitely be returning! Absolutely love this venue !The setting is so agreeable and welcoming with a very cute little backyard. The food was absolutely delicious: We had the zucchini flowers filled with ricotta cheese to begin with and they were crispy on the outside and so tasty on the inside.The branzino in salt was cooked to perfection accompanied with sautéed spinach and the pasta we ordered, caccio y pepe, was out of this world !!! The tuna tartare was breathtaking, but again it was so small and didn't come with any bread or crackers. The tiramisu dessert was also so good. The filet was a mock filet, not a filet mignon. We ordered it because the cowboy ribeye had no marbling - looked like a steak from a low-end supermarket. The ragu pasta was so salty, I'll be thirsty all night. And al dente doesn't mean halfway cooked! The Doma salad was good. We started out with the meatballs, that were rock hard, cold and could have easily been from the Publix frozen food isle. Same goes for the zucchini flowers. They were mushy and flavorless. The tomato salad was the only redeeming dish we tried because it actually tasted fresh. The pumpkin gnocchi was very confusing with odd ingredients that did not mesh well together. The flavor was very off. Last but not least, the truffle pasta was tasty enough, but nothing special. How can you screw up buttered noodles. Doma was a bit disappointing. Made a reservation for 4, and our table was ready when promised. Parking in the area is a bit hectic, but they do have a valet service available. The menu is not huge, but it does have a little bit of everything. We ordered the fried calamari and the tuna tartare, and they were both really nicely executed. Great flavor. Main course dishes were cod and mushrooms risotto, filet mignon, cacio e pepe, and linguini vongole. This linguini vongole is just okay... way too heavy, the sauce feels like it doesn't belong in a vongole. Filet mignon and cacio e pepe were good but nothing memorable. I would say that the best dish out of these 4 was the risotto. I would definitely have that again if we were to come back. People around us seem to order the whole branzino a lot. Maybe that is the way to go. What really brings the points down for me or for our table was service. Service was disappointing. With a lack of attention, we would find ourselves searching for the waiters to place our order, to get more drinks, to get water, etc. I hope it is not their everyday way to tend to customers. What an incredible dinner! We met friends here for delicious cocktails followed by phenomenal food. A great, modern Italian fusion place in the heart of Wynwood for a nice evening out. We loved chatting with the kind bartenders prior to our meal, and had very attentive service. The Cacio e Pepe was one of the best I've tried with homemade, al dente bucatini. My boyfriend loved the Tuna Steak. The truffle pasta dish (not pictured) had a generous amount of freshly shaved truffles on top. Highly recommend!! read more

Doma is always such a lovely dining experience. I went with some friends last night and we ordered the yellowtail hamachi (which was such a unique set of flavors. Loved it), the eggplant (which I love that it's not breaded), the cacio e pepe (which is incredibly flavorful and fresh), the candele alla genovese (the meat in this dish is so yummy and flavorful), and the truffle filet mignon. For dessert, of course we had the pistachio gelato. Sooo fresh and delicious. It's easy to say the food was delicious--as always. Our server was so kind and attentive. We ordered family style, and they prepared our individual plates with each of this dishes we shared--which is always such a nice touch as they do this table side. We had a few bottles of wine and our wine glasses were never empty, and our bottles were all decanted. We sat inside but by the patio, and it is always so nice to watch this restaurant operate--the bustle and flow of this restaurant is the best. Love it here !! I recently went to Doma for their happy hour and had a great experience overall! Our experience started on a bitter note--when we arrived, we mentioned we wanted to do happy hour and were asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside. We opted for outside and were walked to our table. When we asked the waiter if we could have a happy hour menu, he told us happy hour was only at the bar. Long story short, we had to move to the bar which was a little annoying since we were upfront. Anyway, I quickly got over that. Bartender Luigi took care of us and he was amazing! He made a really good Negroni which is on the happy hour for $8.5. He offered us his recommendations on his favorite bites from the happy hour menu which we went with and they didn't disappoint. We got Neapolitan bruschettas, Grilled Mortadella Rolls, and meat balls. We also had an eggplant parmigian appetizer which was delicious. What a foodie experience! An adventure for the taste buds! We came without a reso knowing it was an early weekday and we wouldn't have trouble getting a table - got a table for two in their beautiful outdoor garden in the back. My cocktail was a bit too tart for my taste, though beautifully presented. I didn't have the heart to send it back, I should have. I came for the veal ossobuco and boy did it live up to the hype and the photos. It had me at bone marrow and so much of it. And the hunk of meat meant I had leftovers for two more meals. It's definitely enough for two. Delicious and tender. The only thing I didn't like was the saffron risotto. I cook with saffron all the time and a little (like a pinch) goes a long way! You're not supposed to use so much because it ends up making the food taste bitter and this is exactly what the risotto tasted like - almost difficult to eat it was so bitter and the creamy consistency of the risotto was off to me, not creamy enough. The chef is clearly not experienced with saffron, otherwise he wouldn't have used a month's worth of saffron in one pot of rice!! Chef, if you are reading this, a pinch is all you need. My mom's salmon was to die for - I'm ordering that next time! The sweet and spicy, the bean emulsion and the crunchy little decorations on top...so many textures and flavors - wow!! My creme brûlée dessert was delicious, apart from the slightly burnt aftertaste. Service was top notch and everyone was very hospitable. 10/10 best Italian restaurant we've been in Miami. Highlights: -the pasta is incredibly rich in flavor (gnocchi with porcini and prawns and the taglioni) -wide variety of drinks -great service every step of the way Doma lives up to the hype. There's a beautiful indoor / outdoor patio situation going on, and the dining area is bustling. There's not a bad seat in the house. You can face the outdoors, see the kitchen, or look at the magnificent wine collection through the glass. They give you arancini balls when you sit down, which is such a sweet and welcoming thing to offer - it's crispy and not too heavy. I read reviews of the soft egg, and though it was tasty, i would pass and rather order dessert next time. The gnocchi porcini and prawns pasta was love at first sight. Step aside taglioni (though the amount of truffles you shaved on was jaw dropping), the star of the show is and always will be that gnocchi. The gnocchi is with prawns, carpaccio, porcini mushrooms, stracciatella cheese, pistachio crumble, and fava beans. It and sung in my mouth with every bite. This is our memorable dish - rich, multiple textures, and soooo umami. It was so delightful. If you split pastas, they have a station where they split the pastas right in front of you too! They were mindful of the presentation even at this step too! Sad we were too full to enjoy their dessert - they had everything you would hope for in an Italian dessert menu - tiramisu, cheesecake, crème brûlée, and chocolate mousse, but unfortunately, we were too full. We were attended by several servers and received a complimentary plate of parmesan croquettes from the chef. They weren't anything extraordinary, but they were a nice start. The food, however, was the real highlight. We ordered several dishes to share, and each one exceeded our expectations. The "Al Tartufo Nero" tagliolini was spectacular, the Bucatini Cacio e Pepe simply unforgettable, and the Saffron risotto with Ossobuco, though a bit heavy on the citrus or zesty lemon for our taste, was very well prepared. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and each dish allowed us to appreciate the authentic flavors of its ingredients. To finish, we had the chocolate mousse with a scoop of coconut ice cream--a delicious combination that rounded out the night perfectly. All in all, Dōma is a gem in Miami for anyone looking for great Italian food and a special atmosphere.
