I may have found my favorite dim sum place in Boston. I've been here 3 times and it's been great every time. It's not the push cart dim sum place but one where you order via a sheet and they make it to order. I found a new love for pineapple plus bbq bun. These are literally baked fresh and perfect. Shrimp rolls are soft and pillowy. I love a good molten salted egg yolk bun and these were perfect. We always get our usual shrimp rolls and shrimp dumplings, so good. The congee was also perfect and not salty. Highly recommend checking this spot out and my video recap on Instagram. Staff are friendly and nice interior. read more

Not sure if it is because it was the first time having dim sum after 10 PM, but some of the best dim sum I have ever had. The star of my meal was the Fried Turnip Cake with XO sauce. Was very flavorful with crispy coating and creamy interior full of turnip flavor. Another big plus was that it was piping hot. I also had chicken feet, deep fried pork dumplings, and the osmanthus crystal cake. Each were the better version of most of the dim sum places I have been to. Service was also attentive and "Chinatown friendly ". Restaurant was also very clean and modern read more

Delicious!!! get the soup dumplings and sweet and sour chicken! Sat at the bar. Quick service.

Authentic cuisine. Cantonese comfort food. Great portion sizes. In town for a week, considering coming back again!

Good: service is very good here compared to the other Chinatown spots I've been. If anything is wrong they're more than happy to fix it. The scallion pancakes are very good with a generous portion and reasonable price. Ambience isn't bad at all, clean and like any other Chinatown sit down place. Could be better: I ordered tofu off of the "vegetable" section under the guise that it would be vegetarian. I didn't feel the need to say "I'm a vegetarian" since I was ordering off of that section of the menu. The tofu had shrimp in it!!! They took it off the bill, and let me know I had to specify vegetarian in the future. They offered to make me a different one or tofu without shrimp (excellent service) but I was full from the scallion pancake so declined. I ordered fried tofu and didn't realize it would literally be only fried tofu. This part was my mistake. Also the teapot looked like it was falling apart and they put some sort of plastic cap on it... strange but the tea itself was super super good. Still drank it. read more

Food was absolutely amazing, especially the steamed bbq pork buns. I thought we over ordered but the food so good we nearly finished it all. Service was okay, but worth it for what we ate. Ambience was clean, a little bit stuffy. read more

We had a less than mediocre experience at Dynasty. It was our first time there and went on a Friday afternoon. We were immediately seated. The place does look clean and bright. It is made to order dim sum. The food was subpar. The sui mai was the worst I've ever had. I couldn't even finish my piece, which is kind of mind-boggling. The meat was so chewy and tough, with such a strange flavor that I questioned what kind of meat it really was. Everything else was fairly decent, although not as fresh I would have liked. Our pineapple baked pork buns came back lukewarm and the bread somewhat dry.. But the meat filling was really good. The fried turnip dish was similar to the salt and pepper dishes but with turnip.. It was different and delicious, probably our favorite dish. Also got the xiao long baos, which were juicy and decent. However, they were pretty small. We actually really like the shrimp rice rolls too, and it was a plus that it also came with vegetables on the bottom. Definitely better dim sum anywhere else. My favorite is still Windsor in Quincy. read more

My husband and I stopped in after the ballet at the Opera House. It was a short walk on a very vibrant Saturday night. We were sat right away and the server brought us a nice pot of jasmine tea. We ordered steamed veggies, shrimp and chive dumplings, and soup dumplings. Veggies came up right away and the shrimp dumplings a little later. After about 40 minutes we had to ask about our soup dumplings. They came up 5 minutes later. We were thinking to order more food but no one ever came to ask. A little disappointed. Food was delicious but service was slow. Not sure what happened. Looked like lots of phone orders came in and bumped us down the queue. Will try again. read more

I've been hearing great things about Dynasty, the new Cantonese place on the block (aka Chinatown), but wasn't sure if I should believe the rumors. My mom and I decided to get delivery to try out a few dimsum dishes. Our usual go-to is Ming's in Malden, and while some of the dishes we tried weren't quite as good, we were still pleasantly surprised and even found some excellent competition. My favorites were the steamed shrimp and chive dumplings (plumply filled and fresh), deep fried pork dumplings (crispy but not oily exterior with a good amount of savory filling), and black sesame rolls (exactly how they should be made -- delicate and nutty, they're hard to find these days!). The shrimp dumplings (harkow) were decent as well. I thought the steamed bbq pork buns were filled well but the dough was somewhat gummy. The beef balls with watercress were a bit of a let down -- they were a little bland and had a spongy, kind of fatty texture. Usually I would prefer dining in for dimsum for freshness and way better prices, but the occasional weekday indulgence hits the spot. Uber Eats was a bit slow but the food came neatly packaged, and our order was correct (not a given!). I'm hoping to go to Dynasty in person sometime soon, both for another round of dimsum and for dinner. I grew up eating Canto food at home and in restaurants, so it holds a soft spot in my heart and stomach. It would be awesome to add this place to my rotation. read more

Dynasty is a new Dim sum spot that recently opened a month or two ago. Everything about this place is a yes! The whole restaurant is decorated very nicely, giving a sophisticated look with some fun blue walls- Shinee backkkk. The restaurant seems pretty small but then you walk closer to the bar to see even more seating. Like other dim sum restaurants you order from the small paper on your table and pick what you want and how many. Most things were responsibly priced at $8-$15.We got 5 dishes and I felt full and satisfied between two people. They came out with all the food very quickly and everything was delicious, not one complaint. My favorite dish was the steamed ribs with rice noodle rolls, they are for sure one of the items to order if you visit. Our bill was $46 for the two of us which also included the tip. I can't even name a restaurant where I've had a meal that I pay under $25 for pp. This is now on my list as a go to stop when I'm in chinatown and I will be bringing my friends and family. The best part is they are open most of the day and close AT 12AM , Iconic! As a vegetarian, I'm always hesitant when someone recommends going for dim sum, but my husband loves dim sum so we try to go when we can. Our friend took us here for breakfast one morning and I'm actually so glad we went! The inside is nicely decorated and feels much more modern than other Chinese restaurants I've been to. It is a bit of a tight space, but we had plenty of space for the three of us. We ordered quite a few dishes: steamed vegetables, scallion noodle rolls, fried dough rice noodle rolls, custard roll, molten egg yolk sesame balls, red bean minion buns, and dumplings which had meat in them. The stars of the show for me were the fried dough rice noodle rolls and the molten egg yolk sesame balls! I almost wish we ordered more of these despite being so full afterwards. The scallion noodle rolls, custard roll, and minion buns were good and would get those again. The steamed vegetables were kind of bland, so would likely skip next time. read more

Google map led us to our most disliked café in Boston so we decided to Uber to Chinatown for dim sum breakfast. What a pleasant surprise. Every single item was excellent! Highly recommend the lobster in green scallion and ginger. It was the best lobster I've had, fresh and tasty. One lobster costed $27 without noodles, which was a better deal than steamed lobster without any flavors in most other eateries. I also recommend sesame roll, yogurt cake, sticky rice in lotus leaf wrap, beef ball and bean curd wrap with minced pork. They are absolutely delicious! Great service. The owner and staff were super nice to us. They were polite, respectful and helpful. They even let us store our leftovers in their refrigerator until we retrieved it in PM. Very kind people whom well deserved our gratuity. Located in Chinatown and a short walk from entry gate. The surrounding vibe was peaceful and tranquil. Highly recommend Dynasty for dimsum and lobster if you are in Boston area. read more

Really solid dimsum place in Chinatown. Sadly no push carts and you order off a paper menu. The place was clean and service was quick. Everything we had was really good. I would definitely come back here if I were doing dimsum in Chinatown. read more

I tried here over the weekend. It was very busy as it should be on a Sunday morning at 11am. The ambiance is really nice, it felt like I was in a fancy night club. Though it has 2 sections, it's a bit tight. They have a high top bar in the other section, I mainly saw parties of 1 or 2 sitting by it. The servers were very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. Prices are good. Forgot to take a photo of the menu but within $6-$8 per item and a couple items were $10-14. The portions of some of the items bigger than I expected in comparison to other dim sum places like the spare ribs with taro, the pork & shrimp shaomai and the shrimp dumplings. I enjoyed the experience here. I wonder if they clear the tables and transform into a night club at night haha We got Pork & shrimp shumai Roast pork steam buns Chinese broccoli (from the regular menu) Salt and pepper squid (from the regular menu) Steam shrimp dumplings Steam shrimp rice noodles ( i might have this name wrong) read more

Outstanding food, large portions, great service, clean and AUTHENTIC! Love this place!!!

Review #1299. Wow! Perhaps my new favorite dim sum in Boston! I can say this is one of the best restaurants in Boston! I didn't even know about this place before. I walked past by this place one day and it looked really nice inside. And the window says dim sum. I looked up on Yelp and was surprised by the high ratings. I decided to check it out another day. I like the fact that it opens at 9 AM daily for dim sum. Dim sum is served daily from 9 AM to 3 PM. This is actually rare because most dim sum places open at 10 AM around the Boston area. The food first. This is the best shrimp dumpling (har gow) I've had in recent years. It's been many years since my trips to SF and Vancouver (where they have the best dim sum in general), but I think this har gow is definitely one of the top ones out there. You can taste the freshness and the shrimp filling is generous. Actually, I think it says dim sum is made to order. The food definitely takes longer to be served. The shu mai is also very good. I also tried the congee and sticky rice. All very fresh and delicious. I think for weekdays, you can generally be seated with little wait if you come early. On the weekends, definitely try to come before 9:45 AM if you want to be seated right away. The only thing is that in the back room, it's really crammed. The indoor air ventilation was good during the first hour or so, before it got too crowded. Service was friendly, but relatively limited English. Primarily Cantonese. Can't wait to return and try more dishes. read more

Awesome awesome dim sum. As of writing, IMHO, this is Boston Chinatown's best dim sum. The interior has this weird 70s futuristic fluorescent decor look to it but because this is actually kinda characteristically Chinese, I felt right at home! The food, oh man. So fresh! I swear these days into most dim sum restaurants and I'm like man when was this made... but not with this place. Everything tasted so fresh, from the turnip cake to the shrimp rice rolls, everything was warm and savory and delicious. Their desserts did not disappoint either, with an outstanding rendition of the molten lava egg bun. Reasonably priced for what it is. Friendly helpful service that helped us accommodate a 1yo toddler. I will be coming here now for my dim sum cravings! When we have friends in town, this is probably the spot. read more

My go to dim sum spot in Chinatown. Great food and nice staff. May be busy on weekends though but always a good sign.

I love Dynasty, so much so that I came back within a month or so! Both times I went for dim sum on a weekend, so I don't know much about their regular menu. Every dish I tried off the dim sum menu was absolutely delicious and the prices were pretty reasonable. I saw lots of families that ordered tons of dishes and not gonna lie, I was pretty jealous! To order, you check off the items you want on a slip of paper. The waiter came around frequently to refill our tea and check in. The restaurant itself is pretty nice and modern, with a decent amount of room. In terms of the food, you've gotta try the Golden Black Molten Egg Yolk Bun, which has a unique sweetness to it. The Xiao Long Bao Soup Dumplings are so amazing, with an amazing flavor to the broth. I will be back soon! read more

Dynasty is definitely my go to spot whenever I am craving authentic chinese food. The staff is always so friendly and accommodating. The restuarant itself is pretty spacious and very clean. Today I tried their fried salted pepper eel and it was so delicous. It was fresh, perfectly fried and seasoned. I also tried my usual go to dishes and it never disappoints. The lobster noodle dish was so flavorful and lobster meat was so sweet and juicy. The sweet and sour pork had the perfect balance of sweetness and sourness and the pork was cooked perfectly, perfectly fried exterior and soft juciy interior. All the other dishes was amazing as well, would definitely recommend trying the yin yang fried rice, the geoduck with vermicelli, beef with broccoli, shrimp with mayo, and the string beans. Another reason I really like dynasty is that, you can even order some dim sum dishes, I especially love their variety of mini bums. Got to try their curry bun and it was so delicious. It had a flaky top crust, the bun itself was soft, and the generous filling of curry was perfectly seasoned. read more

On the outside, the restaurant doesn't look promising but the inside is nicely renovated and takes you to a different place! Note : For parties greater than 2 I recommend needing a reservation for dinner! This place serves traditional Cantonese Chinese cuisine and the menu is the same as any other Chinese restaurant. I don't think that the food here is actually any better than other places, but it does meet expectations. We ordered 1/2 crispy chicken, crispy spared ribs on the bone, garlic sautéed greens, sweet and sour crispy pork, vermicelli scallops on the shell, and the house soup. Everything was good but the vermicelli scallops were a little bit bland and could've used more white sauce. It was busy during the weekends but the service was OK. It took a while for our dishes to come out and the servers kind of just come and go. You can find lots of big families coming here, they have very few tables for small parties. Overall, great ambiance and very friendly to newcomers. But I had lots of Chinese restaurants to say that this is just like anywhere else. read more

Tastes fresh, good texture, but the flavor fell a little flat and nothing that gives it a "wow" factor. Chinese fried donut was not good, would not order again or recommend. This is my new favorite restaurant in Chinatown. Came here for dinner the other night and the food here was very solid. Service was also better than many of the other restaurants in the area. Top dishes that I recommend: Ginger scallion lobster - very solid and probably my new go to spot in Chinatown for this dish Duck - I had very low expectations for this but was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was. The skin was also very surprisingly crispy (thought it would be soggy at first) Sweet and sour pork - this was crispy, tender, and a perfect balance of sweet and tang. 20 minutes later, the crisp was still there. Will be back. read more

Really solid dim sum and other Chinese food. There is usually a wait for dim sum on the weekends. They also offer takeout which we have taken advantage of. For dim sum, they don't do carts but rather bring the food directly from the kitchen. I find the food is typically fresher this way. We have liked everything we ordered for dim sum like the shao mai, steamed bbq pork bun, shrimp dumpling, xiao long bao, molten egg yolk bun. The entrees (not dim sum) are very large and definitely shareable. Last time we tried the beef filet with black pepper sauce, I was not a huge fan of the flavor or chewy beef texture. Regardless, we'll be back for everything else! read more

Dynasty is the newest addition to the Chinatown Dim Sum scene. I came with a group of seven on a Sunday and we waited 45 minutes for a table. The restaurant is a bit small and its dining area is divided into two parts. First is the main dining room when you first walk in and it's lined with chandeliers and mirrors. The second room is smaller with a bar area and a few more tables. No push carts here so you order via paper menu. For the food, they do the classic dishes like the shrimp dumpling (no bamboo shoots), shu mai, BBQ pork buns, and xiao long bao well. I would pass on the dry shrimp noodle rolls (bland) and fried dough rice noodle rolls (the dough was tough to bite into). Their beef ball was fine, but note that it's served here with watercress and cilantro. The beef tripe, chicken feet, and molten egg yolk bun were average. I was a fan of their Fried Turnip Cake w/ XO sauce as it had a little kick to it. Overall not the best dim sum I've had in Boston, but good by Chinatown standards. For dessert, I liked the texture of the coconut jelly w/ popping boba and it wasn't too sweet. The golden black molten egg yolk bun and red bean Minion bun look cool and are basically for the gram as they tastes no different from their traditional counterparts. The service was surprisingly good for a Chinese restaurant. They checked on us often, our food came out quickly, and our tea and water pots were never empty. They charge $1 for tea per person with unlimited refills. read more

I always judge a dim sum restaurant by their siu mai, because that's my favorite dim sum item. The pork wasn't as juicy as I've had at other places. It wasn't bad but felt lacking. All of the meat items we ordered (beef cheung fun 牛腸, steamed pork in tofu skin 鮮竹捲, steamed cha siu bao) were similarly dry and not as flavorful as I'd like. Everything else was solid, I especially liked how crispy the fried dough in rice roll (炸兩) was. Overall not bad, but there are definitely better options in the area. read more

DIM SUM: Dynasty offers your dim sum basics like shrimp dumplings, siu mai, and rice rolls. Everything was delicious! DINNER: We held a banquet here with 12 courses and the staff was very accommodating to our needs. Each dish was perfect and delicious but my favorites included the sweet and sour pork, Chinese style steak, dried scallop and egg white fried rice, and the fish filet on top of fried fish. In my opinion, this is by far the best dim sum option in Boston's Chinatown! It's quite popular - we came on a weekday late afternoon and there was still a wait, so I imagine it's even more busy on weekends - but it's worth it!! We ordered a little bit of everything, my favorites being the shrimp and chive dumplings and their fried turnip cakes. I'm a big turnip cake girlie but I've never seen the fried version. It was such a nice balance of slight crunchiness on the outside and soft turnip flavor on the inside. Every dish tasted like it was made fresh and with high quality ingredients. I came with the family for lunch on a Monday without a reservation. The restaurant was full to capacity with people even sitting at a counter in the dining room. Be aware that the space is so tight that it's uncomfortable, chaotic and very noisy. We ordered a few different types of dumplings, all of which were outstanding, including soup and shrimp + chive. Then we had pork + string beans and triple delight fried noodles. It was all delicious. Service was fragmented, so we waved at the servers to get their attention and place our orders. Location wise, this place is very convenient, as it's just around the corner from the main entrance of Chinatown, around the corner from the playground and where local residence play cards and Chinese chess. This is a new establishment, and has lots of new furniture and the decor is all very beautiful and new. However, with that said, they definitely packed this restaurant very tightly with a lot of tables. I can't count how many times I was elbowed or hit by someone passing by as I was seated at my table. This place is known to have dim sum served all day long, which is why my wife and I both thought it would be great to try out as we love Dim Sum and wanted it for dinner. The service was, rather underwhelming. That was probably because the staff was having an argument with one of the managers. ( one guy was wearing a black polo shirt while I believe the man in the red polo shirt was the manager). The argument led to a shouting match in Chinese, which left the restaurant, to be rather uncomfortably quiet. I totally understand that in the heat of any kind of busy business, tensions and feelings may be hurt, but I would hope that they would try to resolve this away from ears especially, when I have my son with me. Food came rather quickly, the food was hot, tasted fine, but really, nothing worth writing home about. Additionally, for the price that we were paying, this is definitely very expensive for dim sum. I'm guessing because of the awkward silence, and the outburst that was had. We were served a dessert of red bean soup. It was hot, sweet, and nice on the pallet, but when you think about how much we had spent for dim sum this really was rather expensive. There are other restaurants that serve dim sum all day, the ambience may not be as nice, but with the price point and the quality of dim sum, I can recommend other places opposed to this one. I would say that if you are on a first date, and looking for maybe a romantic spot with a little bit of eating and more talking, this might be a good place to go, but I really can't recommended for those who are interested in enjoying authentic dim sum. read more

My partner felt that the Xiao Long Bao were a close 2nd place, but I was partial to the Bean Curd Wrap with Pork. The total came to just $25.
