    Pretty Christmas decorations, order counter
    E. S. J.

Those Garlic Parmesan French Fries--sorry, Spuds--in the photo were phenomenal! Best when just made without driving them home, oh so delicious, and worth every penny. And psst, look at the pretty Christmas decorations through the window! While I can't yet say for sure what my favorite dynamite dawg is, it's because so far I can't stop going back for the New York. It is so good!! Truly dynamite! Toppings always evenly distributed & piled high, and I think the prices are great for what you get. One hot dawg with a side is a lot for me to finish, the all beef hot dogs themselves are huge, and especially with toppings can make a filling meal in itself. I'm pretty particular about hot dogs, and the all beef hot dawgs here would be my choice every time. I wonder where they buy them? I got to taste the Backyard BBQ Dawg today--another one I now wholeheartedly recommend! (maybe with no yellow mustard for me, personally, but still was great & definitely went well with it). So mouthwatering in memory that I may even choose that one instead of NY next time! I've also never been disappointed with their Pierogies & Grilled Onions, or the Broccoli Cheddar Bites--both of which can be found in the Munchies category. (fyi: fried broccoli bacon cheddar bites are exact same as yummy ones from TJ's on the Ave & Sheetz) The order itself was also made & packed with care. For example, asked for ranch to dip instead of marinara, no mustard on one hot dawg & a little extra barbecue sauce on another. Three hot dawgs & four appetizers, and everything was made just as we asked. I really appreciated that attention to detail. I hope Dynamite Dawgs does well and lasts a long time, I really love the idea of year round 'fair food,' and this place is so fun and has a lot of different options, even seasonally. Definitely made for a fun smorgasbord night! I just have to remember more often that it's here! Looking forward to reporting back with more findings very very soon.

Take out from Dynamite Dawgs. Friendly staff greeted me upon entry. They appeared busy but flowed well. Order was up fairly quick. I got the Dynamite Dawg which was fantastic. Messy but the right amount of messy. My fries were good. My daughter got the poutine spuds which she loved. They were gone before I could share. They have a lot more Fair Food options which Ill be back to try. Check them out!

This little hot dog joint is great, if you're not in a hurry. If you're not into waiting 15-20 minutes for your food when you're the only 2 people in the place, then it's best to order ahead and get it to go. The menu was huge! We ordered the chicken sliders, the poutine and the veggie Italian sausage. The sliders were tasty, but arrived 10 minutes before anything else. The poutine gravy and curds were cold on top and the Veggie Italian sausage was just okay with a soggy bun. The employees seemed more interested in rooting for the game on TV rather than putting effort into our food or keeping the dining room clean. The Lemonade was great! Would I go back? Yeah, maybe. But, I'd definitely order ahead.

Stopped here for dinner and will definitely be back! The menu offers a variety of different items. From all the appetizers, hot dogs, sides, and desserts, it was hard to decide what to get. I settled for a Chicago dog and garlic parmesan spuds, and it did not disappoint. Great service and a great place.

Dawg onion rings and great sauce.

Small place in a shopping mall but fast service and good dawgs, good fries and above average onion rings. Only complaint...their strawberry lemonade is mostly sugar...no real taste of lemon or strawberry. Can't beat the variety of dawgs, though. Great for a quick lunch.

First time visiting the restaurant. They have a couple of two tops outside, a few tables inside, and some chairs for waiting. The menu was extensive. Great selection of hot dogs and beyond. Friendly people working here. The Coney Dogs were very good. Mac & cheese dog was very good, the Mac and cheese tasted fresh. New York dog was also very good. The actual hotdog is excellent. Toppings and how it is dressed it above average but the dog itself does not disappoint. Fries were good. Beverage size was larger than expected. Had to get some ice cream prior to leaving and glad we did. Very tasty. Excellent place to stop if you are into different hot dogs. Reasonable costs.

Very unique menu, very great dawgs! I wish I had ordered fries or onion rings too!!!!

(Call it a late breakfast early lunch hahaha). It was a nice day, so happy to sit outside. Their menu is so varied and there are sooo many dog options and other things to choose from, I recommend you look at their online menu ahead of time. This definitely helps in the ordering process. Especially when you have 5 adults and a toddler. The inside is tight with only a few tables. The condiment counter can get busy too. We ordered the Mac n cheese bites for the toddler and she really enjoyed them! Yummmy she said. I had the LA - short. It was really good! Loved the onions and peppers. I should've asked for some jalapeños. It took it to the next level. My husband and dad both ordered a Long Bacon and Cheese dog. They both really enjoyed. There was also a short Kraut dog and Long Flame Dawg. My son in law was sweating from the heat on the flame dog! He gave me a few jalapeños that I put on my LA dog. We all commented that the buns and hot dogs were great quality and our various choices were perfect to our liking! We shared a SMALL fries. Wow, it was a lot! 5 people shared and it was still a lot. We also had a vanilla and banana shake. Please note the difference from a small and medium shake is only an extra $ .25. So, go for the medium! Delicious shakes! By the time we were done, there was a line out the door. The team inside did move the line smoothly! Hope to come back soon!

This weekend, I visited him and when he asked where I wanted to eat, I said, "DUH Scooters!" I love hot dogs! We weren't the only ones with that idea, and we had to circle the parking lot several times before finally finding a place to park. After that, we joined a line that stretched out the door. Once it was our turn, we both ordered the 'long' chili dog and got a 'tiny' fry and a banana shake to share. We were lucky enough to find a place to sit at the counter. While we waited I enjoyed the whimsical wall murals and people watching. Once we received our food, I happily dug in. The chili on the hot dog was unique, with corn mixed in. We were warned it would be spicy, but as Texans, we didn't find it spicy at all--though we did think it was quite tasty. The "tiny" order of fries was delicious and definitely not small in our eyes, though after seeing the massive portions others received, I suppose it was. We kept eating and eating them and still couldn't finish them. The banana shake was the perfect ending to our meal. I hope I get to eat at Scooters again. There are other hot dogs I would like to try.

So I hate to have to post this, but the last few times have been very disappointing…read more We were just there on 7/26. It was good to see the owner on his hands and knees cleaning a cooler. The intention was to move the inventory around that was more convenient for the staff. That was a long time coming. The coolers were packed and never looked appealing. Not sure why our bartender had to ask about the change? We sat close to the door at the bar. Not sure where the occasional weed smell was coming from? It doesn't bother me, but others get offended by it. Maybe it's not good to have this odor while people are eating dinner? Does the staff look the other way on this? Not sure what our server's name was? We are not regulars. She seemed newer, but I did recognize the other. And when our server spoke loudly her voice was annoyingly squeaky, mini mouse like. She's where our problem begins. I ordered the hot dog special and asked if I could sub tater tots for fries. She said sure. When I received the check, I noticed a $3 upcharge for the tots and questioned it. Without even thinking about it she replied with this, "I told you there was a charge" and immediately disappeared from behind the bar. I asked my wife what she said when I gave my order. My wife's response was that she said "sure" and never said anything about an upcharge. She had all the signs of a habitual liar. No thought was put into her answer even though our initial conversation took place about 45 minutes earlier. Now to the restaurant. Fries and tater tots are the same price on the menu. The hot dog special comes with fries, so why is there a $3 upcharge? Fries are $7 and tots are $7. Again, why is there an upcharge when they are priced the same? The tots didn't come with Cleveland ketchup, so why? How many other customers are surprised by the $3 charge? Typically, hot dogs come with chopped onions, so I'm not sure why I had to pay .75 extra for a side of them? But I was also charged $1 for a side of mayo. Are you kidding me? A condiment has a price? It wasn't listed on your menu previously. I can't help but wonder. Since you guys claim to be a dive bar, wouldn't serving packets of mayo be more fitting? Now I know I could have taken all of this up with the owner, but a lying bartender would have defended herself and I wasn't in the mood. After thinking about this for a few days, I felt this was the best way to address it. When you nickel dime your customers, you are not a dive bar, you are cheap owners that only care about your finances and building more establishments. Now my only regret looking back was leaving about a 14% tip. I should not have left $3 and change. That way maybe the liar could think about the upcharge? Or is she even competent enough? Now on a previous evening, I ordered Cevapi. It wasn't very tasty and served on a pita. That isn't authentic Croation. I understand here in the USA, it might be acceptable. But when I can get it at Rose's in Eastlake on lipinja and the sausage has outstanding flavor, I think Crowley's could be a little more authentic to your heritage. Your heritage is displayed on the front of the building, isn't it? And your sausage did not have good flavor. Family of your ownership group asked me what I thought of the Cevapi. They didn't seem surprised when I told them and their response was that the sausage wasn't fresh, that's why the taste wasn't that good. Wait a minute, not fresh? Are you buying that much bulk that you can't provide fresh food for your customers? And the pita? Their was response to that was that some people serve it that way. I've been to the Eastlake Crowley's a few times and if you like biker bars with sleezy bar staff, that's the place for you. I went to Lake and that shouldn't be a good reason to support your businesses. I would be looking the other way. We have decided that we will never go back to any of your establishments in DTW, any of your so-called dive bars or your new venture in Irish cuisine. Irish? I wonder what will be authentic there?

What we got this time around was bland burgers with lower quality-tasting beef and wilted lettuce--not to mention the pickles on mine having a very off and extremely sour taste that made them inedible. (I've never met a dill pickle that I didn't like--what happened here, I haven't a clue.) I also don't think the Frisco sauce tasted the same, which was quite disappointing as well. \Aside from that, the "Kiosk" machine required to place your order turned into a fiasco--"press a button too hard, it won't work--press it too lightly, it won't work." In the time it took us to PLACE the order we could easily have told the guy helping us (or someone else working there) what we wanted (there weren't any other customers there at the time, either ) and likely gotten the food cooked and already been on our way, but, well . . . KIOSK it is, there. (Not the guy's fault--clearly it's a corporate policy.) I would love to see Steak 'n Shake revert back to its "steakburger" days . . . offering those well-loved savory cheeseburgers with the garden-fresh toppings, and more personalized service. Kiosks may work well in highly-frequented restaurants during busy times, but for goodness' sake--if a place is virtually empty, maybe a simple "Can I take your order?" would greatly benefit both the customers and the establishment.
