I'm not a huge fan of Dutch Brothers. I'm not sure why; maybe because everyone freaks out about it. Or maybe it's because their wacky drinks (like unicorn blood, my friends favorite) aren't my thing. Anyway, they are fine but not my favorite place, although I'll stop here if it's what's available. Unreal. Walk up the the window and there's a sign saying "sorry, we're closed until 12/11". It's DECEMBER 12th! A surly, half-awake barista approaches the window the inform me they're closed. I asked her why the sign says 12/11, she said "oh it's the wrong date. SORRRRRYYYYYY" and closed the window. Didn't change the date, didn't even acknowledge an issue. Do better. read more

Always friendly service at this dutch bros! We love taking our dog their after vet visits for a pup cup. The baristas are always excited to see a friendly dog and they even put little dog treats on top of the whipped cream. Their special cold brews are always yummy and pack a punch of caffeine. My favorite is their lavender white chocolate cold brew, I wish it was available year round the smores version in the summer is also a tasty cool treat. They are great at making customizations to drinks and you can get the drinks half sweet if you don't want a sugar bomb. The lines and be long and sometimes its a bit awkward at this location to wrap around the small parking lot. The Franklin location is a little quieter and has more space if you're looking for less crowds. Overall, one of our PNW favorites. read more

Yes, I am a self-proclaimed coffee snob so I am just going to put that out on the table. I am also over the age of twenty and don't need caffeine to get me through staying up all night doing god knows what, and drinking copious amounts of alcohol. I enjoy a good a good cup of coffee in the morning and at this point in my life I just don't want to drink crappy coffee. Dutch Bros. is crappy coffee which I think is the reason they make all kind of frappe, frozen, lots of sugar, etc. drinks so that the consumer does not realize they are paying a lot of money for coffee that is cheap, horribly roasted, and just yuck. Ok, my rant is over, the coffee is awful. Unfortunately, I fail to learn my lessons and have been to a few Dutch Bros. coffee locations in Oregon. The service is always nice and really helpful, if almost too cheery and nice. See- I get mean and grumpy when I don't have a good cup of coffee. read more

This particular location made my drink order wrong twice, then argued with me about what I had asked for. Shots were pulled poorly, barista was rude and condescending and I will never tip before getting my drink in hand and tasted ever again. So disappointed with this location, stuck up college kids with snotty attitudes and poor customer service skills. This is a total departure from a normal DB experience, every other location I have been to has been great, sunny smiles and good service, this place was the opposite. read more

So I've been to this stand before, but tonight was the worst experience ever. Sat in line for 10 minutes behind some friends of the barista (we were even told that when we got to the window) who just got a glass of water and were passing popcorn back and forth. Almost left, but ended up going through with the order and the gal just hard a hard time getting 1 of the drinks correct. Had to repeat 3 or 4 times, didn't actually end up getting the right drink, then actually asked for a tip! drinks are fine. the staff is just horrible. ik it's teens and young uni students working there, but it's like they especially go out of their way to be rude and negligent. multiple staff members here have given my husband and I bad experiences. I never really use yelp other than to look at menu's but I'm compelled to write a bad review for here because it really just sucks. thankfully this area has coffee shops with much nicer service. Randomly found this place driving through Eugene so stopped as it was the only sign of life at 6AM. Grabbed a latte and it tasted good: decent bodied roast and the milk was foamed to my liking. The barista Blare even had some doggy treats to keep my dogs quite while I enjoyed my coffee. The coffee is better than anything I've had since coming to Eugene, not that I ever have anything adventurous but the Americano is excellent. Discovered Dutch Brothers today, the servers there are so upbeat and fun cheaper than therapy too! Mike was particularly nice and comped our drinks as we were first timers and celebrating a birthday. Dutch Bros is always my favorite. I admit, I have had better tasting coffee in many other places, but Dutch Bros is consistent, (usually) fast, convenient, and tasty enough. Plus I worked there years ago and so I feel like a loyal little puppy dog. Anyway. The 11th St. DB parking lot drives me crazy pretty often with the way the two lanes of traffic merge into one line at one window, but I deal because it's a convenient location. I deal usually. This morning, I happened to be exhausted from a week of moving across town while supervising 5 kids under age 9 on their last week of summer vacation. (Sob sob, rant rant. Ok, I'm done whining now.) Needless to say, my nerves were shot and my patience left a long time ago. After waiting in line a good ten minutes, a big mean SUV cut in front of me instead of waiting for their turn in line like we learned how to do in kindergarten. When I finally got close the finish line, the barista ran out, took my order and did her usual, "how are you doing today?" I couldn't even muster a smile for her and just said, "I'm irritated. Your driveway situation sucks." She smiled in spite of my sour disposition and made some agreeable comment, took my order, and ran back inside. When I got to the window, the employees were all smiles as always. Another barista asked how I was, and my response was "I've been better." They gave me my drink for free and told me they hoped I'd have a better day. Now what could be a more humbling experience than that? Dutch Bros employees are generally friendly and fun at all the locations. This experience is just one of the many reasons I will continue to go to DB, despite annoying driveways. I also love that they have every kind of milk under the sun, now that I'm on an almond milk kick! **I realized that I never posted this review. I just went to this DB today and I continue to have wonderful experiences with the staff here. A newer employee, a young woman who loves dogs, is soooooo extremely kind and friendly. I wish I could remember her name, but I can describe her: youngish, thin, long brown hair, very pretty and a huge smile ALWAYS. Regardless of the terrible parking lot situation, I continue to frequent this DB because of the wonderful staff. read more

Thanks to this, I have no idea what the quality of the espresso is since I can't taste it. GREAT employees. They remember your name, your drink, and are unfailingly upbeat. The employees seemed rushed, though there was only a single car behind me, and as such they didn't fully blend my Rebel. I love this stand more than I should. I spend more money on coffee here than anyone should. The thing that keeps me coming back is the people. The employees are so friendly and seem to love their jobs. As for the coffee, it's not half bad either. Generally I'm a guy who likes unsweetened drinks, with nice strong coffee. However, something about this stand makes me enjoy sweet drinks that I would usually hate. I don't know why it happens but it does. I hear Dutch Bros is raising prices soon, but that's definitely not going to keep me away. As long as they keep nice people in the stand and decent coffee in the cup, I'll keep coming back time and time again. read more

All I wanted was a drink with no dairy products. Me and the barista were having a conversation while I was ordering about what drink would suit me because I don't know my coffees and milks all that well and about 30 minutes later on my way back to Portland I start getting terrible stomach pains and a migraine. It was a pretty bad car ride and rest of my day vomiting because of half of a coffee that obviously had milk inside. I got into contact with the manager and got a silly run down that it was just bad miscommunication and offered to send a free drink and I never got one so thank you for that. The sexual tension ensuing between employees is creepy, making the customer not only uncomfortable, but also an active witness to this weird scenario of forced flirtation. I have concluded that it takes about 6 more minutes to receive my coffee compared to other coffee chains. My vanilla latte is a second priority to the coworker seemingly wacking off the other barista under the counter whilst charging my CC and harassing me with a stamp card. read more
