Great bagels. A bit slow when busy but definitely worth it! Get the green chile bagel if they have any-- they're the best!

Bagels tasted stale. Small amount of Lox on bagel. Owner overcharged me by $10 on accident and was not very apologetic when I inquired about it. They forgot tomatoes on my sandwich. Bagels were fresh & delish! Staff was very friendly & patient with our slow-ordering party of 8. We ordered several breakfast sandwiches, which we all thought were delicious. Coffee is good too. Next trip to Durango will definitely include a stop at Durango Bagel. read more

So amazing! Perfect bagels and a super extensive cream cheese menu with so many delicious options! They do go a little heavy on the cream cheese, but if you get a good flavor, it's not a problem. I recommend the maple pecan, I've been craving it ever since I ate there. Coffee is also pretty good. read more

I had high hopes for this place but was seriously disappointed. I will not being going back. The service was very slow and a large line formed. I ordered a toasted jalapeño bagel with cream cheese and it was inedible. Their toaster most not have been working because the bagel was cold and rock hard. The cream cheese was also soupy. Bummed I just paid $5.50 for a gross undercooked bagel with a microwaved egg & cheese. Customer service was terrible too. Stood there waiting while one employee worked hard serving other customers & the other employee just stood there doing nothing. Then 3 people walked in behind me & the kid doing nothing offers to help them instead of me?!?! read more

As others have said, there can be a wait when crowds pack into this tiny place, but the service is as fast as possible and very friendly. We got our bagels to go and both the savory and sweet varieties were great. I wish we'd had time to try the sandwich options. I also recommend coming in early before all your favorite flavors are sold out! read more

Went here twice on vacation, it was that good. Solid sandwiches, very convenient location in historic downtown just past the CO-160/550 intersection if heading north. Not at all disappointed. Even had a funky, college-town-style atmosphere. Very enjoyable. read more

Just had the best bagel! Plenty of meat and cheese. They do not skimp here... I have been coast to coast and they truly do it right here in Colorado. Only a few feet from the train station and a locals favorite. Be sure and check them out. read more

The standard to which I hold all bagels!!! I recently moved from Durango to the Midwest - I know, 'what was I thinking?', and I haven't had a good bagel since... The town I live in is rife with chains and today I was craving a bagel so I went to a large chain bagel shop... I ordered my favorite asiago bagel with sin dried shmear... The bagel was soggy (yours are always so firm!) and the shmear was too sweet (yours has such a zesty tang to it!)! Rather than going to their yelp and leaving them a bad review I thought I'd come leave you a review - letting you know that you have ruined me for all other bagel shops :(. I miss your perfect bagels, your friendly staff and your great coffee. I will stop by the next time I'm in town and until then I will continue to dream about your delicious bagels! read more

Great little place with lots of character and fresh bagels. Family of 5 went back to back mornings as we all enjoyed the breakfast bagel sandwiches so much. The people working there are super friendly and the next time we are in Durango we'll be back for sure. read more

Never going back. Expensive, dirty tables, unfriendly. The "bagels" are small with big giant holes. The owner walks away when the ONE worker gets busy. McDonald's honestly is better quality, more friendly, and cleaner. Please close down so a real bagel shop can go there. read more

Went here a couple times last weekend (I love bagels). A good bagel, however I was disappointed with the breakfast sandwich. There was a nice selection of toppings but for a starting price of $7.50 I expected something a little better than microwaved liquid eggs (from a carton). Other than that a nice shop. Really good, fresh bagels on a Saturday morning. Nice way to start our day. We had actually stopped a few blocks away and picked up some coffee, but that place didn't have food so we wound up here. Glad we did because the choice of bagels was pretty extensive and the cream cheese just topped it off. My jalapeno and cheese bagel was just spicy enough, without detracting from the whole experience. It was a Saturday morning, so we had to wait in line a bit, but that's to be expected for a popular place. The shop is located just across the from the train station, so even if you're not doing the scenic day trip on the train, you can walk over there and see the trains leave (3 morning departures in the summer). I would definitely recommend this place, because in our experience the breakfast scene was a little lacking. read more

Worst experience at a restaurant in Durango I have ever encountered. I have lived here for 4 years and have been to the Bagel several times. The staff is usually friendly and works quickly. However, the owner is extremely rude and shows no interest in building positive customer relationships. When the owner was ringing up my order he made the sly attempt to charge me for items I did not order. When I confronted him about this he saw no issue with the matter and still tried to charge me for things I did not order. All the meanwhile he spoke to me in a very disrespectful way. After going back and forth he finally lowered the price to what it should have been to start with. I am utterly shocked by the behavior of this particular business owner. Unfortunately, this one bad experience will be enough to keep me from returning. It is also safe to say that I am not the only person who has had a negative experience with the owner. His behavior was distasteful and unprofessional. read more

Who owns this place?! I hope to God it wasn't the man who waited on me and my wife this morning. Horrible service to say the least. After a peaceful nights rest at the Durango lodge we walked over to Durango Bagel for our morning lattes and bagel sandwiches. After the nice gals made our sandwiches we went to the cashier to order our drinks and pay our bill. The man behind the register was having some technical difficulties with the cc machine. He would not even let the gal ahead of us take her food and sit while he worked it out. He asked us what we would like to drink. My wife said she would like a latte and he straight up replied that he didn't have time for that. WHAT?! Is this not a coffee place? I looked around for a hidden camera in disbelief of this horrible service. I then asked him if he had time to take our money for the bagels. Of course he had time to take the cash! That I even took the time to write this review shows my disappointment in this restaurant. The two stars are only for the quality of the bagels as they were good. read more
