Great food options, good coffee, and super helpful and friendly employees. Great breakfast stop!

A local favorite spot since forever. I live near here and sometimes pop in for a quick wrap or a smoothie. The staff is friendly, but can be a little slow during rush hours. The dining area is small, but cozy, and there is limited outdoor seating if you want to bring a dog. The prices are more than fair. The wraps are pretty big, so I often split one with a friend, making this a very affordable lunch. Each wrap comes with a side of slaw, chips and hummus or a couple other offerings. You can get pretty much any of them with tofu, so lots of veggie options. My favorites are the Albuquerque Turkey, the Firecracker and the crunchy Thai roll. I can also recommend the house-made hummus with red pepper. You could do a lot worse for a quick lunch than Raider Ridge. Happy travels! Seatbelts!

Originally we were going to another restaurant but they were close so we got here. Thank goodness!!! This restaurant is 5 stars!!! We met the owner who is super friendly and nice to chat. The service is impeccable. The food...oh my god...we ordered chilaquiles for breakfast. The absolute BEST. We are from Austin and eat lots of Mexican food but this one is unique, tasty, and beautiful. I got the one with chorizo and my partner got the one with chicken. Both are fantastic. Cozy and great selection of music. Love every part of this eatery. If you are in Durango, this is a must stop, y'all!!!

The perfect .5 to show off the perfect smoothie.

An amazing smoothie, great service, and super fast! The smoothies tasted so fresh, no ice chunks, and I felt healthier drinking it. Every sip is a beautiful surprise for my taste buds. You know I will be coming back here again.

The breakfast burrito was delicious. Fresh and a good size portion for a good price. Good service too! I'll go back next time I'm in town.

what is there to say about this place?…read more i personally have never eaten anything here EXCEPT their bakery goods which were superb, best in town, hands down. Every morning they seem to have a wide selection of freshly baked pastries, good coffee, big smiles and a beautiful building. I have seen their breakfasts being delivered to tables and can say they look delicious but a big breakfast sends me straight back to bed... When i am in town.. i stop here every single time, always, without fail.

May 2026 My wife and…read moreI were visiting Durango for a few days. She took the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad to Silverton, but unfortunately I wasn't able to go because of a medical condition that prevents me from traveling to high altitudes, and the train climbs to around 10,000 feet. After she left on her adventure, I decided to find some breakfast. While I was walking around town, my aunt called. She and my uncle used to vacation in Ouray every year, so she knows the area well. She recommended Jean-Pierre Bakery, so that's where I headed. I was seated right away and ordered a coffee while I looked over the menu. My waitress was very friendly, and we chatted for a while. She even recommended a few places around town that I should check out. I finally decided on the Croque Monsieur (brioche, béchamel, ham, and Swiss cheese) served with a salad. When my meal arrived, it looked fantastic. The sandwich was delicious, rich, and full of flavor. It was my first time trying a Croque Monsieur, and I really enjoyed it. The salad was fresh and crisp, and the vinaigrette paired perfectly with it. After finishing my meal, I couldn't resist ordering a pistachio cream-filled éclair that had caught my eye when I first walked in. It looked beautiful, but unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The pastry was very dry, and the bottom was quite hard. It definitely didn't taste freshly made. The pistachio cream had a nice flavor, but there wasn't very much of it. I mentioned my concerns to my server, and she kindly brought me a chocolate éclair to try instead. It also looked wonderful, but it had the same problem. The pastry tasted old, almost like it had been sitting for a couple of days. I would absolutely return for another Croque Monsieur or to try something else from the breakfast or lunch menu because that part of the meal was excellent. As for the pastries, they certainly look beautiful, but based on my experience, I would probably pass on them next time. This would have been a solid 4 star if those eclair had of been good.

Great Breakfast Spot Before the Durango & Silverton Train Ride…read more After reading some of the mixed reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect, but fortunately my son and I had a great experience. The bagel shop is conveniently located just a 785 foot walk from the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad depot, making it an ideal stop before boarding the train. We arrived early in the morning, well before boarding time, so there was no crowd and service was quick and friendly. We both ordered the big breakfast bagel along with a beverage. The sandwich came loaded with egg, bacon, sausage, and cheese on our choice of bagel, and it was served promptly. A nice bonus was the 5% discount for paying with cash. Most importantly, the food was delicious. The bagels were fresh and flavorful, and in our opinion, far better than grabbing breakfast from the fast-food on the other side of the tracks. Some reviewers have commented on the prices, but given the location next to one of Durango's biggest tourist attractions, the pricing seemed reasonable to me. Convenience and location certainly add value here. If you're looking for a tasty, satisfying breakfast before enjoying a ride on the historic railroad, I would definitely recommend stopping by this bagel shop.

The cinnasugar was in the bland side; the others were better. Service was meh, from a young woman who very clearly is NOT a people person. The place only had seating for 3 or so small parties and is mostly a grab-and-go type of place.
