What a fun little local spot! We were passing through town and wanted to find something local for our morning caffeine fix. This place did not disappoint! The decor was rustic and fun, the barista was super friendly and answered all our questions. I got a savory americano and my wife got a lavender latte. If you're in the area be sure to stop by! read more

Food was pretty good. My kids loved the croissants. For the price i would have liked a little more for my breakfast. Had the grits and Canadian bacon (ham). Had about 6 pieces of ham and about a cup in a half of grits. More ham would have been nice for $10. All in all i would recommend checking it out, staff is super friendly. Be prepared for the sticker shock. read more

The lattes are made with such care and they are absolutely delicious order a burrito outside and go inside for a nice cup of coffee.

Update: We've been back several times and I can say with confidence this is a GREAT place for a brilliant espresso/cap/latte. I'm so happy they're here in Durango. Come at 7:30-10 am so you can get a veggie breakfast burrito from the truck out front to pair. I'm obsessed. Creamy perfect pull on our two lattes. First time here so we'll return hoping for same experience. I wish warm toasty seats in the sun for you. This place came highly recommended by another coffee lover. read more

Every time I'm in Durango I come here for my favorite Durango Matcha Latte. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they take particular care in making their matcha lattes. They don't use pre-mixed Matcha like most places (including Starbucks) but rather they use genuine pure matcha, choice of a sweetener (I choose honey), and the perfect blend of your choice of milk Of course they have all of your coffee & tea favorites but besides the great drinks the best part is the friendly, warm welcome and service. read more

Have been in and out of the DURANGO area since 2008 and WOW - so pleased to experience the offering when this place opened. I used to enjoy trying other places, but now I feel like I'm wasting good money to go anywhere else. Hands-down - the best in town (and for hundreds of miles around in my humble opinion!) Good vibe, great place. My entire crew appreciates the craft on display here. read more

Hands down the best coffee in Durango. Order the lavender latte, you won't regret it!

Wonderful service and amazing food. We had one of the signature smoothies and grab and go croissants. Amazing!!

Can't really rate the quality of coffee because I didn't even have a chance to order. The cashier was having a special moment with another set of customers and chatting it up. I'm pretty sure she saw people waiting in line, but apparently it was more important to share her life experiences with past customers than take another order. Felt bad for the barista too, cause he looked like he needed something to do. I'd say a lack of gumption and green skills permeated this very cool atmosphere. Unfortunately, I could only wait so long before I decided to go somewhere else, but felt the ignored experience moved me enough to leave a review. read more

The coffee was very good. I was surprised at how much I liked it. The latte absolutely was perfect & so, so good. Hubby enjoyed his as well. Too bad we are "out-of-towners," because we would be here very often!!! read more

This place has tasty coffee but it's really overpriced. Wish it wasn't $18 for a sandwich and small coffee.

I visited Durango for the first time during the last few weeks on work travel. Taste Coffee was my first choice to check out for coffee based on the Yelp reviews I read from other patrons. And once I went once, I was hooked. All the coffee and the milk options are organic. The baristas (Ron and a nice British gentleman I never got the name of) were friendly and efficient, especially considering they have to run a one man bar. Most importantly, the coffee is fantastic. (Apparently it is roasted just down the street--another plus.) I rotated between the nitro, the cold brew, and an americano. All were great. I tried a few of the other local shops while I was in town and thought Taste was, hands down, the absolute best. read more

Awesome little spot in a walkable part of Main Street. The owner Ronnie does a great job of knowing his customers and creating a welcoming environment. Mike, the main barista, is an expert at his craft and makes one of the best lattes I've ever had. read more

Everything is so tasty! My absolute favorite is the iced caramel breve, it's basically goodness in a cup. Also, add local CBD to help calm the jitters after 4 shots of espresso read more

This place does it right. From reverse osmosis water with some minerals remaining, to all organic coffee and dairy, to great tasting coffee and snacks.. I don't know what more you could ask for. I really appreciate and respect a business that does things with such care and passion and it shows I'm the end product. The service is also friendly and excellent. read more

Stopped in based on scoping the coffee hardware through the window. The space is one half of a converted auto garage. The other half is a pretty sweet looking bar. Im here for the coffee. Single origin Ethiopian (Yes Please). We had a Shot, a Cortado and a Noisette (think heart of a shot ((ristretto)) with a splash of hot milk). Everything was amazing. Talked Craft Coffee wth the Owner. This is The place in Durango for fine coffee!! read more

Cute all organic coffee shop. Nice to have a choice of multiple organic milks! Had a decaf cappuccino with organic dairy milk. It was excellent. I look forward to trying the nitro when I'm having a caffeine-on day. Friendly barista-- He remembered my husband from his last business trip. It's easy to miss this place if you don't know it's there. Look for the Texaco sign in front of the building that looks like a gas station if you're not paying attention. read more

Taste coffee is my favorite coffee place in Durango. The guy that works there is so extremely nice and the coffee is amazing. While I was in Durango, I tried almost every coffee shop there was. Really awesome coffee from a cool dude. Some of the best flavored coffee in a nice environment. We went back twice within the hour

Funky independent coffee shop with its past as an old gas station/garage evident in the decor of hubcaps and auto trunk/sofas. Good strong espresso, lattes, and perfectly not-too-gingery chai. read more

OK, this is hands down the best coffee in town. Maybe in the state. Ronnie is a consummate professional who does not settle for less than the perfect cappuccino. You won't want your cup to end. read more

This is some of the best coffee I've ever had and I live in Austin, which is a big foodie town so we have a lot of options. I was so excited to get my coffee every morning and part of the reason we were sad to leave Durango was to leave this coffee. Also, the owners are really friendly. read more

Incredible, perfectly made cappuccino; espresso was great, perfect foam, and the temperature was spot-on. Barista was very friendly and knowledgeable. Love the vibe of this place, it's tucked inside of 11th Street Station, which provided for excellent people and dog watching. read more

Hands down the best coffee in town! Beans are really high quality and every drink is measured and created precisely. You'll find drip, pour-over, and exceptional espresso drinks here. Milk is always on-point and the shots are perfect. read more

Taste is the best coffee in Durango and second place is far off. Other shops in town can be too crowded or loud but every other shop serves over-roasted coffee. No one likes burnt food, I don't know why coffee gets a pass. The folks at Taste are really passionate about serving great coffee and it shows when you walk in. They've never met a stranger. If you're here from out of town, don't bother with any other coffee shop. Taste is perfect walking distance from other downtown hotspots. read more

Cool vibe, coffee shop and adjacent cocktail bar reside in an old auto repair shop, which influences much of the decor. Lots of outdoor seating and food stands/trucks immediately outside for food (highly recommend the breakfast burrito truck). Cappuccino was very good read more

Wow, you're going to have a hard time getting a better cup of coffee anywhere, let alone in Durango. You've got to try it, they must have named it "Taste" for a reason, you'll actually want to taste this coffee. Regular or specialty coffees are all on point. read more
