Food was pretty good. My kids loved the croissants. For the price i would have liked a little more for my breakfast. Had the grits and Canadian bacon (ham). Had about 6 pieces of ham and about a cup in a half of grits. More ham would have been nice for $10. All in all i would recommend checking it out, staff is super friendly. Update: We've been back several times and I can say with confidence this is a GREAT place for a brilliant espresso/cap/latte. I'm so happy they're here in Durango. Come at 7:30-10 am so you can get a veggie breakfast burrito from the truck out front to pair. I'm obsessed. Creamy perfect pull on our two lattes. Every time I'm in Durango I come here for my favorite Durango Matcha Latte. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they take particular care in making their matcha lattes. They don't use pre-mixed Matcha like most places (including Starbucks) but rather they use genuine pure matcha, choice of a sweetener (I choose honey), and the perfect blend of your choice of milk Of course they have all of your coffee & tea favorites but besides the great drinks the best part is the friendly, warm welcome and service. read more

Can't really rate the quality of coffee because I didn't even have a chance to order. The cashier was having a special moment with another set of customers and chatting it up. I'm pretty sure she saw people waiting in line, but apparently it was more important to share her life experiences with past customers than take another order. Felt bad for the barista too, cause he looked like he needed something to do. I'd say a lack of gumption and green skills permeated this very cool atmosphere. I visited Durango for the first time during the last few weeks on work travel. Taste Coffee was my first choice to check out for coffee based on the Yelp reviews I read from other patrons. And once I went once, I was hooked. All the coffee and the milk options are organic. The baristas (Ron and a nice British gentleman I never got the name of) were friendly and efficient, especially considering they have to run a one man bar. Most importantly, the coffee is fantastic. (Apparently it is roasted just down the street--another plus.) I rotated between the nitro, the cold brew, and an americano. All were great. I tried a few of the other local shops while I was in town and thought Taste was, hands down, the absolute best. read more

Stopped in based on scoping the coffee hardware through the window. The space is one half of a converted auto garage. The other half is a pretty sweet looking bar. Im here for the coffee.
