The Beaumont Hotel is Ouray's oldest luxury hotel. We enjoyed a relaxing morning in the chairs in front of the large window. We did a little exploring of the hotel before we left. Towards the back of the coffeeshop is a door to Roosevelt's Tavern. It is also a part of Beaumont Hotel.

It was pretty busy for a weekday around 10 a.m., and there seemed to be a constant line of people ordering. I got the breakfast bowl with eggs and summer vegetables, and unfortunately it was pretty disappointing. The veggies had almost no flavor, and there were pieces of asparagus that were so tough and woody I couldn't even chew them. The bowl was also supposed to have sunchokes, but I honestly didn't see or taste any. Overall, it was just very bland. I also ordered a flat white, which had way too much milk and didn't really taste like a flat white. The milk didn't seem properly steamed and it almost tasted like cold/warm milk had just been added to the espresso. The one thing I really enjoyed was the homemade pop tart. That was actually delicious and easily the best thing we had. Overall, I found it pretty pricey, although I know that's somewhat expected in Telluride. For the price, though, I was hoping for much better food and coffee. The pop tart was great, but unfortunately the rest of the breakfast was a miss for me.
