Terrible customer service, old man behind the counter is rude , simply went in to double check the color we bought was right .... The whole time he was complaining on how I was wrong , when I'm playing 60 plus per gallon I wanna make sure it's the right one especially since my client picked out the color and I wanna make sure my customer is 100% satisfied, definitely wouldn't come back , take our business to Sherwin Williams .... Simple question "can you check if this was the right color " ...... turned into a whole issue , I worked in customers service for 10 years and yeah I get customer isn't always right , but I'm just asking to double check I didn't need a whole speech of how I was wrong and the paint cards I had were wrong and then I can hear him talking bad to the employees in the back ? Terrible customer service. I stood in front of 3 employees behind counter for 4 min. Not one acknowledged me or said " We will be with you in a minute". Two were older guys so its not a younger millennial thing it was just bad customer service. There was no other customers in store and I was standing RIGHT in front of the old guy employee! I waited a few more minutes - still being ignored and just walked out of their store. I came home and told my husband that that store is BANNED from spending money there. Jennifer the color advisor is amazing, kind, and helpful. Arch...he is the clerk behind the counter. He is rude, claimed he doesn't make mistakes when he made 2 mistakes on my order on Monday. Tuesday he argumentatively demanded it was my fault...was very odd because he never was told there was a problem. The main problem was easily solved by Jennifer and another kind gentleman (sorry I didn't get his name) before Arch came into the store Tuesday morning, so that would make me think he knew there was a problem...just very odd. I have been to this location several times and Arch is consistently rude. The treatment I received yesterday was harassment and I will never work with him again. If I find out he is the store manager or franchise owner...I'll not go back and take my business to Benjamin Moore just a few miles away. read more

Unbelievable customer service here. I am aware of inconsistencies between color paint mix from gallon to gallon. I came in to buy a gallon of paint to match the color of a repaired wall. The color was lighter than the paint chip and original wall color (both were Dunn Edwards paint.) Also the drywall repair was less than perfect and the eggshell sheen (same as original) showed these imperfections too much. All I wanted to do was to buy a new gallon of paint in a lower sheen and to slightly darken the color to match my existing walls. They went above and beyond to try to match the original wall paint, no matter what. I was willing to live with a close match but Dunn Edwards would not accept that compromise. They may cost more than box store paint but for the customer service and long lasting paint quality, this place is hard to beat. read more

I have to respectfully disagree about the customer service at the Riverside location. I have been going to this store for years. No matter how busy they are, they treat every customer with respect and patience. They are super efficient and your order is ready within the time frame they give you. They have given me a lot of advice through the years on projects, and I have heard them do the same for others in front of me. Also, you can tell they are very attentive to their customers in the trades and work hard to keep them moving and back to the job. Remember being in the customer service field is not always easy, so try not to judge those that serve us too harshly after just one bad experience. read more

These 5 stars are ONLY for Jennifer! Thanks so much for being a huge help as I picked out colors for my house! This is the first time I've had to do this and you were a huge help. Extremely patient, kind and helpful! HOWEVER.....your co worker who I didn't get a name for was AWFUL! He drives the white little pick up truck that's all I know. He was extremely rude, grouchy, horrible representative for the company and his breath reeked of alcohol! Both my mom and I think he was drinking before he started his shift! The shorter white lady was a crab too! The grouchy guy said something under his breath and she started me down with the most grouchy look ever!!! Absolutely terrible customer service. I'm very disappointed with the service I received at this store. I initially went to the Corona location hoping to find the right product for a home renovation project. I was specifically interested in viewing paint color options virtually through the instacolor visualization tool and was directed to the Riverside location. I called the store in advance and was told I did not need an appointment to use the color visualization tool that was advertised. . After driving over 40 minutes in traffic, I arrived at the store and was told the person in charge of that department was on their lunch break and would not be back for 45 minutes. I waited patiently and watched as numerous staff members passed by without even acknowledging me or offering any service, even though none appeared to be occupied. When the associate returned from her lunch break, I inquired about using the color visualization tool and was then told that I had to make an appointment, even though I was specifically told I didn't need to do so prior to making the trip over. In the end, my entire afternoon was wasted. None of the staff members seemed to care about my business or show any regard for my time.I have purchased numerous products from Dunn-Edwards, but I won't be coming back. read more

The service I received was poor. I originally came in to buy 2 quarts of oil base paint. I specifically asked for Safety Red. When I saw the color was off. The manager insisted it was correct. He said the color would change when it dried. Sure enough it was the wrong color. When I returned, I met up with the manager again. He tried to sell me the same story again. He tried to tell me factory red and in house differed were different yet they both have the same paint code. He then placed both reds together and insisted they were the same. Here again, way off. One had a tint off of red, not true fire safety red. The point is there are different types of red and he was convinced there are not. That is like saying there is only one shade of white, blue etc.. He then disrespected the transaction, I originally paid 28.00 for the paint, then he changed the price to 45.00. I think he was upset that I questioned his judgement in paint. Not my intention. Just wanted to complete the project correctly. Then he tells me I needed my receipt for an exchange of paint. He told me I needed it. I told him I used a credit card to just look it up. He said he could not, I told him how HomeDepot could exchange items with a credit card. He tells me it was illegal. Yet magically finds my receipt in 5 minutes later. Really. What bothered me the most is the name Dun-Edwards has always had value in service and customer service. This is the only paint I buy. They have always been welcoming to all levels of painters. "This store was short of that." In fact, while other customers came in it appeared he was bothered by their presence. A paint store without good customer service is like any other paint store. I have purchased several times at this location. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. I thought it was great because I described a color I was looking for and the associate was so familiar with colors that she knew the name of what color I wanted. Mind you, there are hundreds of colors and names. I was helped to my car with the 10 gal bucket. I would shop here again. Thanks! read more
