My experience with the Corona sales people was very good..very helpful. We purchased redwood for a balcony and elected to pay to have the wood delivered. The delivery guy was exceptional (wish I remembered his name). We had several very heavy beams (6x6) and the delivery guy offered to help my son carry them back to the backyard.... very much appreciated. My low rating is because of the quality of the wood. The redwood had lots of splits in the wood (some of it was actually unusable), plus many knots. The quality was definitely not what I expected for this high-priced redwood. I wish I had been able to hand select the pieces, rather than just getting "whatever" the team who bundles the order selected. Definitely not the quality I would expect from Ganahl Lumber. read more

The only thing is the person at the register that greats you. I went to the sales department, the man there saw me and right away grab the phone and make a call and pretends he's busy. He couldn't even say "I will be right there with you". He ignored me for about 5 minutes. Then he hangs and looked at me and finally asked "what's up?" Really? "What's up?". I asked him "you guys sell solid wood. He looked at me all "stupid" and he didn't even know what that was. I asked then "like red oak" he just pointed at me and say "around the corner". Around the corner few cracked/split pieces of bad red oak. I went to this place because I saw a truck driving around my town with this logo. So, I was looking to buy few thousands of dollars of wood products here, but I guess I will take my business to Peterman lumber instead. Never will come back to this place. We had a spitting water copper line during the holidays from the hot water heater. We dashed here hoping they wouldn't lock the door on us. (We definitely wouldn't have made the " Lowes or Home Depot" in time -too far away) so we gambled on Ganahls Within 6 minutes we were in and out with the 3/4" copper lines we needed and they were helpful Boy oh boy Im glad they have everything we always need HERE ! read more

OMG........I have not been to this store in years. I cannot believe how much this area has changed and there is now enormous commercial/residential growth everywhere. So glad that Ganahl had numerous signs to guide me to their store. I am currently in the process of restaining my garage wooden doors. i stained it years ago, utilizing ZAR Stain. I was greeted by all with a warm "Welcome", then proceeded to the paint department where we met Caylan. Wow, wow, wow...... My wife and I were so impressed with her warm and professional customer service. She was so helpful and had extensive knowledge on the ideal ZAR product that would work best for my project. Truth be told, but Caylan highlighted a ZAR product that was designed for staining garage doors that I had never heard of. This made my day. On Friday 5/1/26 at 9:05 am i went to buy 2 pieces of wood. The woman sitting at the back warehouse taking the pink papers was super rude and has zero customer service skills. It was barely 9:00 am and she was already bitchy. I cant imagine her at the end of the day. Her responses were rude and she couldn't answer a simple question about wood size. She had to ask a guy beside her. She just sits there looking down and when approached she gets bothered. Someone should teach her manners. On top of all this i paid for my two pieces of wood at 9:02 and they didn't load me until 9:30. They were not even Busy. I had to go back and ask the same lame Person if she put in the order and she rudely responded that they should be getting it ready. She probably didn't even do it right.or at all cause she was bother that i put her to work. She should be fired for being inept.. read more

I had a great experience at Ganahl Lumber. I went in to buy the Life Specialty Coating Al system for my deck, which is about 500 square feet. The representative, Caylan, was amazing. She was super friendly and knew everything about the product, which was a huge help. They also offer discounts for large purchases and for contractors, which is a nice bonus. The whole crew was friendly and helpful, and the store itself was very clean. I especially liked how clean the bathrooms were it's definitely better than Nichols in that regard! I go here for all my lumber needs! We can get 24 foot long boards and the fork lifts load it up into our trailer, super easy and helpful. If you drive around to the back, there's a guard gate that will tell you where to park if you have a trailer. I can pick which boards I want or I can have the employees pick it for me and then load it into my trailer which is helpful. You pay at the counter inside, and then go back outside to the load counter and give them your receipt. Everyone is super friendly and helpful though, so if you have questions, just ask! We spoke with Don about a 6 panel front door and he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We are just waiting for the right time to order it, but definitely going with Don. This store is pretty awesome! It is like a Home Depot. It is very clean and organized. I really liked how they had the different tool brands very color coordinated! And throughout the store they had some pretty cool items! I also liked the old country design inside and out, it kind of reminded me of knots The only downside was the customer service at the register. My boyfriend was trying to buy a electric hand tool that had a big sign that said $99 and at the register it rang up $199. We let her know the sale price and she asked us oh was it a Friday frenzy? And I had never been to that store and I was confused and so my first thought was that they were already tagging sale prices for the time for the next day and I asked if she can honor the price and was a bit hesitant to call a manager so instead we just decided to not take the item. I would have liked if she would've better explained the way that sale worked instead of asking us the customer but now I know for next time I go to Check what day the sales are for. The item that I wanted was a Friday frenzy at that time and now it's Friday sale is an everyday sale! read more

Disappointed with a Service (ISRAEL VAZQUEZ-COR). I spent thousands of dollars this summer having my outdoor patio build. All material from Ganahl lumber. I decided to go in myself and purchase one of the last items (Gabel plate) I wanted. It's true when they say, it's hard to find good help. As Israel brought out the book or manual he couldn't answer any of my question. I specifically told him, I wanted it for a 4 x 4 and he still got it wrong. I called back to try and order the right part and was told by him it would be a 25% restocking fee. So anyone reading this, if you special ordered a part and it's wrong one it's a 25% restocking fee. I felt he initially didn't want to help me out and on top of that he ordered the wrong part. In a way it worked out, I upgrade the 4 x 4 and they put a 6 x 6 for me. I haven't shopped much at Ganahl Lumber over the years cause I looked at this as a contractors store. Recently during a remodel of our home, we were searching for glass panel doors and Ganahl Lumber was recommended to us. How pleasantly was I surprised!!! Not only do they have a very large section of lumber, they also have everything you would need for a remodel, especially some items that would be a special order at other large box chain stores. Louis Avila in the Door department made shopping very easy. although I didn't know all the terms, he understood the application and the additional parts I would need for the installation. Glad I finally tried Ganahl. Been going to your typical big box stores. Decided to try someplace new. If you need lumber, don't go anywhere else. Found someone on the floor to help me. Stayed with me for the entire time. I was expecting him to leave and go do whatever he needed to do. Nope. Helped me to get everything I needed. I think his name was Israel. Then instead of finding the lumber myself, hauling it myself, he just placed the order. I paid for it, drove my car INSIDE the yard. Another guy was already waiting for me, with the correct order, ready to cut. What?! I didn't have to go find someone and beg him to come and wait for him to cut for me? And tell me that after the first 2 or 3 cuts, I'll be charged per cut? He made all the cuts I asked for and then loaded it in my car. Mind blown! Thank you guys. Well done! I purchased custom natural wood doors from the Corona location. The cost was over $11,000. When I made the purchase I asked them to please expedite the order because I was having a considerable amount of work done in my home and wanted the doors while the work was completed. I was told the order would take 4-6 weeks.  At the 5 week point I checked in to see the status of the order. The next day I was called by "Jimmy" who told me the doors had never been ordered because he "forgot to press" the send button on the order. Needless to say I was not happy. I asked him to contact the door manufacturer and tell them he screwed up and ask if they could rush the order. He said he could not.  I called and spoke to general manager Pete Ganahl who agreed that not pressing the send button was a lame excuse. He said he would call the manufacturer to ask for a rush. He told me he would call me back by the next day. Guess what? He failed to call me back. I had to call several times over the next few days before he would return my calls. When I did finally talk to him, he said he was waiting to hear from the manufacturer. He said he would call them and get back to me. He never called me or followed up in any way, shape, or form - ever.  If that was my business, with my name on it, I would have been so embarrassed I would not be able to do anything until I fixed the problem. Obviously his level of integrity allowed him to sleep like a baby after his company made a major blunder and inconvenienced me and my family by delaying our home completion. The arrogant Pete Ganahl did not care. I got a refund and went with a custom door contractor. read more

The guy named Darren that works at the sales department denied our entire 7k order because "he felt it was fraudulent." Wasted an entire day of my time and my crew now we had to order from a different yard. Nothing about our order was fraudulent I had the customer fill out the entire form and they had the card ready to run, he was just being a racist d***head giving me his BD attitude as if he was smart enough to know if it was fraud and what wasn't. Even the people who worked in sales gave us all attitude just in the ordering process. I can't believe any company would hire a guy like Darren. (He claims the order didn't line up) when everything about the order was 100%. If you can order from a different lumber yard I would skip the waste of time and possibility of these idiots wasting an entire day while I'm still paying my crew to stand around now ordering from a different yard. The location is a little difficult to get to, but once you figure it out and experience this place, you'll never want to go to Home Depot again for lumber. They have a huge selection of different wood with a warehouse in the back where they store it. You tell the guy at the desk in the back what you want and he writes up a ticket with everything you need. They pick and even help you load the material in you vehicle. No need to pull 2x4's off the rack to see if they are straight. These guys will make sure you get great quality. I believe the first 10 cuts are free if needed. Our local office in Corona ran into a serious repair problem that we thought impossible to fix, which would have rendered the front entry door unusable. In effect it would have been unusable by both clients and employees. It took just a minute for an employee at a help desk to direct us to Peter Sanchez, he was very helpful, courteous, and fixed our problem right then and there. We were VERY happy. Well this is a chainstore per se it's not like the big box store. The service here is excellent. I was making a couple of cutting boards and needed some hardwood. Stopped in and the man in the hardwood section was very polite and helpful. Never felt rushed or as if I was inconveniencing them. They provided tremendous guess service. This place has all the hard to find high in lumber. They also have a good selection of tools. I highly recommend this lumber store. I give them two star for doing a rip off sales job on me. I purchased two skylights with the flashing, which was a total of approximately 1200 bucks. My roofer did say not to purchase the flashing, however the sales guy Don Santana talked us into purchasing for approximately 400. The roofer installed the skylights immediately, so the job was done in less then a week after purchasing. Never opened and boxes of the flashing were not used and we contacted Don to return for credit. Well there is a 15% restocking fee along with shipping and handling to send back to the manufacturer. Now, keep in mind that this is standard size flashing and skylights. They basically make it unreasonable to return items by slamming you with all these charges to make you keep the product. So why is there a restocking fee if your sending back to the manufacturer and not restocking the item. Customer service is king to me, customer service is making the customer feel good about their purchase. Customer service is about providing the customer with an experience that'll make them want to come back. Customer service is about the customer sharing the experience with others, family, friends and/or coworker. I work in an industry where I provide a service and my top priority is customer service from start to finish. I want my customer to come back and say good things about me. They lack even decent customer service. read more

I would give 6 stars if possible. The customer service is phenomenal! The lumber price is a tad higher but the quality is way better!! There is zero comparison to Lowes or Home Depot as far as their lumber quality goes! This place takes the cake!
