I even said, "This doesn't look big enough," but he assured me it was the correct one. I took it home and unfortunately it wasn't the right size, so I had to run back to the store. The woman who greeted me the first time was incredibly kind and helpful -- she had even helped me load bags of soil into my car earlier. She handled the return for me with no problem at all. Then I went back upstairs where the actual plumbing specialist helped me pick out the correct part. The customer service here is excellent. It's so close to my house that I prefer going there instead of a big store like Home Depot. I may pay a little more sometimes, but the convenience, helpful staff, and friendly service make it worth it. Usually, they're right and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this store for both customer service and convenience.

I had to leave a glowing review for Wendy One at the Encinitas Home Depot. If you have ever called…read morethe store, you probably know exactly who I am talking about. They call her "Wendy One" because there are two Wendys, and she was the first one there. Wendy One is truly one of those rare people whose happiness comes right through the phone. You can literally hear the smile in her voice. She is warm, kind, efficient, and somehow even remembers repeat callers, which is almost unheard of these days. In a time when customer service often feels rushed or disconnected, Wendy One stands out. She makes people feel welcome and important, even during a quick phone call. She is patient, upbeat, and genuinely helpful every single time. Thank you, Wendy One, for caring about people and for bringing such positive energy to your job. Great customer service like yours is few and far between nowadays, and it absolutely deserves to be recognized.

The nice thing is that the parking lot here is mostly dedicated to Lowe's, and it is pretty big. If you go past Lowe's there is a much smaller parking lot trying to serve multiple businesses and a gas station. But there is noodles and co, Jersey Mike's, Panera, etc. And the parking lot over there is way too small, overcrowded, and annoying. Lowe's staff is friendly, and helpful when approached. They seem much more willing to help and answer questions than the competitor with Orange in their logo. I have never not been able to find something I need when I go to Lowe's. They seem to have much better policies and business ethics than some of their competitors, and they seem to like Veterans, so I will give Lowe's first shot my home improvement needs. The prices seem to be in line with their competitors, except for Amazon, but sometimes it is better to support your local store and to go see the product in person, versus just blindly ordering off the internet. The store is clean, lighting is decent, checkout is fast especially if you are doing it yourself.
