I decided to try out a DD latte and flat bread instead of going to Starbucks. Big mistake! Employee was not rude but also not friendly. The sausage, egg and cheese wrap tasted really weird. The only way I can describe it is "antiseptic" as if the sandwich was made on a recently cleaned surface. I did not eat the sandwich! The latte tasted . . . well just bad. It was a coconut creme latte (I love coconut creme!) and it had a odd taste that just didn't belong in a drink. I poured it out so, all in all, I paid DD to give me a bad experience. :( read more

Today I had to call corporate for the second time on this restaurant. The first time I called was prior to the pandemic for the same reason I called today. I know a lot of people say this but I have NEVER called corporate on any business Before except for this single Dunkin Donuts. I am very passive, however this location is repeatedly beyond frustrating and disappointing. I go there quite often because it's close to my house and I have spent a lot of money there because I always want to give them the benefit of the doubt. The employees are always very kind, the problem is there's never enough of them. Today I was in line for 25 minutes at the drive-through because there was only one employee working. There were 15 cars in the drive-through which ran out into the street. Not including this 15, I saw seven cars leave out of frustration. The young man working all by himself was very kind and apologetic, I just feel this is incredibly unfair to the employees. This was also the case the first time I called corporate, one single young man working during lunchtime and was clearly very stressed out. Again, this was prior to the pandemic. I feel like management needs to step in and take better care of their employees and not leave them in these kind of predicaments. It is also unfair to myself and other customers who want to give this location their business but receive this kind of service. I pay for my orders online so I don't want to leave and waste my money. Any other location that I visit I'm in and out within five minutes. I just don't know why this location can't seem to pull it together. I'm continually disappointed in the service but I keep hoping it will get better. At this point, I'm not sure it will and I'm not sure how they are even still in business. Please corporate, upper management, anyone step in and help these employees so that you don't continue to lose profit. I have worked in the fast food industry when I was young as a manager and this would have never happened in the eight years I worked there, would be completely unacceptable. I am very sad to say that today will be my last visit to the Waterford location. From now on, I will just make sure that my coffee is stocked at home. read more

I have had my final straw with this DD. Staff is unprofessional and over the top rude. It's like they are doing you a favor helping you, if you get lucky enough to get any help. This was the worst experience. I pulled up to the drive thru and didn't get a hello for at least 2 minutes. When they finally served me they said they couldn't hear me 4 times while I was screaming my order so loud the person behind me could hear. I asked for a large and got a small so they had to remake my coffee and then they gave me burnt texas toast so I parked and went inside. I just was at this location and a manager named Amanda was taking my order at the drive thru and cut me off said I could finish my order inside. I proceeded to come inside instead so I could have time to make my order. She came up to me and said were you just at drive thru and after I said I had never been treated like that she went into a tirade and was yelling at me refused to help with me giving feedback didn't want to tell me her name and continued to say mean things about me to her coworkers loudly the owner should know this woman is wildly unprofessional read more

Man, I wish I had better things to say. This location is right down the street from our house, which makes it very convenient, but I have yet to make a visit where there weren't any problems. The drinks are regularly wrong, sandwiches are consistently both cold and burnt at the same time, and the service is less than attentive. I find myself having to ask the drive through staff to repeat themselves and in return get pretty less than congenial responses. I'd ask to speak to a manager, but I'm pretty sure more than half the time I'm already speaking with them. My favorite encounter consisted of a visit through the drive through where a new hire was training on the headset. She was actually the cheeriest one, evidence that she had experience from a similar job in the past, but was unfamiliar with the computers. Her "trainer" kept cutting her off when she would ask questions or try and talk through the process. I was waiting at the window for my order and I heard her ask "so, am I supposed to just stand here and do nothing? I feel like I should be doing something while we are waiting for the order to finish" and his response was more or less "yep we pretty much just stand around until the foods ready". She looked less than enthused by that response. All in all, I have faith that this location can and will get its act together. I think the main issue appears to just be the training process and standards. Hopefully management can get the help they need in order to step up their game, I'd love to come here more often. read more

Everytime we go through the drive thru they mess up our order. They either give us the wrong thing or if we ask for a toasted bagel with cream cheese they only give one small swipe of cream cheese, not even enough for both halves of the bagel. Extremely disappointing. read more

Second time visiting this establishment, second time a disappointment. It would seem that despite being a donut shop, this Dunkin Donuts lacks the desire and/or product to actually make donuts. In addition, the customer service skills of the onsite manager (Melissa) are sub-par at best. I joined yelp and haven't used it in quite sometime. I reinstalled the app because I felt a need to write a review about this Dunkin Doughnuts. Serious issues with this location need to be addressed. 1. Grumpy Employees... Look we understand your busy, we understand you may be overwhelmed, but find it in yourself to smile, thank people for their business, and show a little pride in yourself. 2. Mobile App Orders.... So far they are about 30% dependable. Majority of the time my order is not there, they have messed up my order. On several occasions the receipt that prints up my order was sitting there and no one had even started on my order. No apology, not even from the manager? 3. Clean Up... The dining area has dirty tables that are filthy and need to be not just wiped with a dirty rag but sanitized regularly. 4. Organization... Why can't they keep track of the orders? Why do they constantly run out of doughnuts. Not only do they run out of doughnuts? How does this happen at a major chain like this? I wrote this review not to be nasty but in hopes the owner or managers would see how their customers view the over all appearance and service they receive at the store. You are losing customers and I have gone down the street to Cary Town coffee many times and have drove out of my way to Starbucks just for better service and a better experience. Tip... It's nice to have a DD so close by to my home and my kids enjoy going to get the donuts which are as good as other locations. But I have personally seen much of the other reviewers concerns about the staff and the cleanliness of the place. My biggest complaint though is that three times I have ordered an iced tea that has come back tasting like coffee. I presume they use the same filtering system to make both drinks and clearly they need to clean it better between uses. Someone needs to address these concerns with the owners or managers. read more

Stopped in for an iced tea. They gave me iced coffee and told me it was tea. I tasted it and told the employee it was coffee he replied 'It's tea.' I tasted it again and told him it was coffee at which point he told me it must've been mislabeled. While I was waiting for him to rectify the situation, I noticed how disheveled and personally unclean the employees looked. The bathroom was also filthy. Every single time I come to this location there's an issue. 1st time- I've never been to a DD before. I order an iced vanilla coffee. When I've ordered the exact thing at any other restaurant they never ask if I want cream or sugar. When she asked if I wanted cream or sugar I said I'm not sure, typically they all just come with it right? She proceeded to get extremely mouthy with me about it saying "can you just tell me yes or no". I said "okay but light sugar please" when I got my drink it was SO sweet I couldn't even drink it. Like she had dumped so much sugar in, just to be smart. Well 2nd time- I hear they are under new management.. ok great. I go back and long story short, it was 11am. I waited in like (of about 3 cars) for 10 mins. Then they have me pull to the front of the store to ANOTHER line to wait for my food. I got some munchkins and a bagel (nothing complicated). When I get home, I realize my whole food order is messed up. And not to mention, the service still was terrible. When I called the manager, Amanda, she was just as rude. She first questioned asking "are you the one who wanted extra jelly filled.." I said "no?" and she seemed as if she didn't believe me. She told me she'd fix my order but I'd have to come between 11am-2pm while she's there which is not possible because I work during those hours. I was trying to explain all the waiting I had to do and she cut me off saying "well I am new and we have employees in training and employees re-training" ok...? And..? I've work fast food as a teen and they would've never ever made excuses if we messed up orders or had bad customer service. Love Dunkin' Donuts, but this location needs to get it together! I ordered via the app (15 minutes before arriving), and order was "not found" when I walked in. The staff told me they could not find my order because it was ordered for drive through, and I walked into the store. I was in a rush so I requested my money back- no one knew how to do this because I ordered from the app. The staff called the manager to see if I could be compensated with a gift card and he REFUSED over the phone. Emma one of the staff members was super apologetic, very efficient and helpful. She made my order and made it right. This should be something the manager should be handling. The only reason I give this place even a single star, let alone 3, is only because of Emma's prompt response with completing my order. America willNOT be running on Dunkin' if the privately owned franchise doesn't step up their customer service. read more

I would rate this less than one star!!! Who owns this place? 7 people behind the counter, ran out of dark roast, waited 15 min for a large coffee cream only. I watched orders get lost, folks waiting longer than me for similar orders etc. You need to get a manager up front to corral the chaos!! read more

This location used to be a normal haunt for me, as it's conveniently placed near my home. This, however, is a practice which I will have to discontinue due to serious food and safety concerns witnessed during my last two visits. On the 15th I made my purchases and sat down at the high table closest to the register, by the window. It was only after I had settled in that I realized several black flies were desperately clinging to the window screen behind me. There were at least seven live flies on the screen itself, with a few dead ones laying on the windowsill. I quickly left after that discovery. I returned the next day to see if the environment had improved only to find that it was much worse. This time there were flies actually flying around the store and even sitting on the baked goods in the backbar! The flies from the day before were still on the initial window. I also checked the opposite corner of the store, where the sofa seating is, and found more live flies in each of those windows as well. There must have been at least three dozen flies in this establishment during either visit, and that is totally unacceptable, especially in a location this small. Please take steps to address this severe problem as soon as possible, Dunkin Donuts! For the sake of your future business and the health of your customers. read more
