The downfall of this location is NO REFUNDS! If items are out of stock from a pickup order, they refuse a refund on spot. Instead, they tell you the only way to get a refund is to contact customer service through the mobile app. Good luck with that--you'll have to wait a few days for a manager to randomly call you and offer a replacement (not a refund), which means you have go out of your way to visit this location again, only to replace your awful drink with another awful drink! :D Other locations have given me refunds without needing to ask, so this is clearly a choice they're making. Nobody should have to pay for a specific item, be told it's out of stock, and then be denied an immediate refund. This location has also earned an award--for the worst Dunkin' drink I've ever had. Of all the Dunkin' locations I've visited in the country, this one makes the worst drinks. The drinks are sooooo watery, burnt, and bitter, with the ratios all off. The food is either burnt or ice-cold in the center. I've been here many times, and the food and drinks are usually disappointing. The employees are chill, but it seems like showing up is an inconvenience to them. I've visited the drive-thru for pickup orders, and the drink was terrible (tasted like straight unflavored bitter water), the food was burnt, and the girl at the drive-thru can't keep her eyes and hands off her phone while making the drink, which is the norm here. If you're going to be on your phone, at least get the orders right. read more

Not going there nomore until they fire that one lady. Whenever I used to go here my iced coffee was great ever since they hired her I've had problems. The first incident I asked for the same iced coffee I always get which is always sweet when I get it. This time I ordered, mind u she was very rude while taking my order, My drink tasted like black coffee. I went back in the store to get my refund and she basically threw the change on the counter. I went today to get the same drink my brother got at a different DD and I could tell it was her because once again she was already rude taking my order. I tasted i and i had to call my brother cause it was soooo bitter but I thought it was me. He said it didn't even look like the same drink and his was very sweet. Both girls behind the counter acted as if this was appropriate. Warned the guy walking in after me. He walked back out and said to me, You weren't kidding! This is the SLOWEST most INEFFICIENT Dunkin I've EVER been to. And I see A LOT of them with 2 kids in travel sports. Came on the way TO the field. Had to leave b/c it was obvious that we weren't going for make it. Dropped kids off. Came BACK. STILL STANDING HERE. It's been 20 minutes and I'm STILL waiting. I am a Dunkin' fan. They serve a good product with out being complicated. However, avoid this specific location unless you have 20-30 minutes to wait in the drive through line. They did get the order right but it wasn't worth the wait. There are two Dunkin' locations nearby on Hull Street. I recommend the one at Hull at Deer Run. Do you want flies and maggots with that? I've been here a few times and every time is the same slow, rude service. The store clearly has a fly infestation as they fly around the store and fly out of the donuts as employees pick them up. Over spending some time inside one woman was yelling loudly at another employee at the top of her lungs. Quite entertaining expired coffee and a show. They never switch the "fresh brewed coffee" until it gets used up. So the coffee they hand out has most likely been sitting there for awhile. I also overheard them talking about a maggot infestation. Who runs this place? Drive Thru service is terrible. I'm always just pulled to the front of the store to wait ten minutes for a quick and ready sandwich and a coffee. The man making sandwiches was also only wearing one glove. It's clear the store is never cleaned from this pic I got through drive thru. Most of them employees are always rude on top of that. Ordered iced coffee with cream and hazelnut syrup. Normally, at most Dunkins they automatically put the right amount of each in and it tastes great. This Dunkin doesn't ask how many you want. I didn't think I needed to taste test it before leaving the drive through. It tasted awful. Also they were extremely slow to make 2 drinks. This is consistent at this location. It is not often I write a negative review- however in this case, there are very little redeeming qualities for this franchise (13521 Waterford Place Midlothian, VA ). Three (3) times we've tried this location for breakfast since moving here in July. Three times the team failed to get the order correct. We have been forced to go from paying and leaving with coffee/bags to checking coffee/bags for the expected count of items to finally opening lids and packaging to inspect each item for correctness. It's like Will Ferrell in "Elf" when he is checking the "Jack in the Box" toys- nothing is right and its scary. The store may need one or two people more to help, but it boils down to management and running the store as you would a professional kitchen. This franchise is not professional. There is absolutely no concept of the "Brigade de cuisine" and order in the back side. Slow and brusk are the qualities found here. Today (Sat 03 Sep) we went in (drive thru had 4-5 cars waiting), ordered at 0910. We left with finally the correct items at 0953). What did we order? 3 coffees, 3 snackin bacons, 1 toasted bagel with cream cheese, one bacon egg and cheese sandwich. 43 minutes for service? Please. Every order prior to us AND after resulted in the same- not one order came out correct. People left without anything. People waited...The team member who was working the sandwich station actually said that she did not get a ticket on the order system to match up to our order...then asked what we wanted our egg, bacon, cheese on- Our response was what ever is easiest so we can finally get our food. The amount of food wasted on re-makes and abandoned at the pick up counter was huge. That's all lost profit. Not one order was called out by ticket item. Instead the orders were handed out with "Sandwich with hashbrown..." at one point we were going to claim anything fresh and hot just to get out of there. One person ringing in orders- serialized the whole process to stop and get each doughnut order fulfilled-by leaving box on counter and only getting "one flavor" of donuts at a time. That's 6-8 different trips to the donuts and back... In the immortal words of John Tapper's "Bar Rescue" SHUT IT DOWN...retool the operation, retrain the staff, and bring in professional management to oversee this franchise owner. Sorry Dunkin Donuts, your team hear has failed to win our patronage again. read more

Wow. Dunkin' Doughnuts is an amazing name in breakfast restaurants, but this place is poorly managed. The location is prime at the corner of two very busy intersections that I frequently drive past multiple times per week but I can't say that I will ever make a stop here again. The staff does not care whatsoever. I'm sure that comes from lack of managerial support and training. I was in during a very busy Saturday morning and there were four visible staff members. A young lady taking orders looked completely drained because her coworkers walk around staring at the floor collecting a paycheck. I watched the older woman call the younger lady over and stood there with a cup in her hand watching while the younger lady completely replaced the tank in the hit chocolate machine. The same older lady was doing all of the drinks and placed orders up in the pickup window without calling orders and nobody was given receipts. Me and a few other customers started deciphering the shorthand on the cups to figure out who was supposed to have which order. Something that should have been done by the staff member placing the drinks up. The younger lady, the only one working the front line. Also had to prep all of the boxes of doughnuts for inside customers, replace the hot chocolate tank, go into the back to grab sandwiches and put them up in the pickup window. Oh and she called each one she put up. It's very clear who should be running this place, and it's not the lady wearing the dust mask. By the time I left, the place was packed and they were still moving at a snails pace. read more

I once sat in the drive thru line for 15 minutes just to realize that cars in the front of the line weren't actually able to place orders and were just driving around to leave. So now I just get donuts from Food Lion and eat them in the parking lot and watch the Dunkin customers keep waiting around again until they leave. I absolutely love Dunkin Donuts!! I am a very loyal customer, but this is the absolute worst run location I have ever been too!! Unfortunately it is the closest to my house. I have contacted their management company numerous times with feedback to hopefully help them improve, but very little improvement is made. Very disappointing!!! I always hesitate before coming to this location. I need to make sure I am in the right mood to deal with the nonsense that inevitably ensues. The employees here are nice but are obviously underpaid and completely checked out. Orders are regularly inaccurate. Drinks are poured half full. Delays delays delays even when the store is empty. I want the store to improve because the location is so convenient , but perhaps if Dunkin were to pay their employees more they would actually care about serving the public. Corporate greed leads to bad customer service and in my case, many lost sales going to Starbucks. Get it together Dunkin, you are embarrassing yourself. read more

It's not that complicated. I ordered 1 large iced coffee with oat milk and 2 shots of vanilla, 2 shots of hazelnut at the drive through. I was the only customer in sight, both inside and outside. It took 5 repeats of the order before the repeat back was correct. At the payment window, I asked him to repeat again to make sure I was getting what I ordered, and he had it right, however, after I drove off and looked at the sticker on the cup, discovered it was still wrong. I'm giving this two stars because I never read the one star reviews. I went here one day after placing a mobile order and was not ever helped. I waited ten minutes second in line and no one ever moved. I had already paid for the order and had to leave to go to work. I drove by and saw two people inside dancing inside. I decided I would give it one last try as I live right next door and it's super convenient and went today 2/24. I was helped and given a latte that I watched the worker put no coffee in. Ok this has to be the worst place ever they never get your order right I order large vanilla iced coffee every time three of the last 4 times I have stopped here I have had Togo back in and exchange why they gave me straight iced coffee I love blueberry doughnuts but 4 out of 4 times they don't have them ok can I have a double chocolate we don't have them either wow how can a doughnut shop not have doughnuts. Go here at your own risk. I stopped by here for a donut and a bottle of milk. They poured milk into a small cup which was fine. But then I took a sip. This milk was not just off, it tasted like it should have been tossed weeks ago! What I thought was ice from being frozen was actually small floating chunks of soured milk. This location is the absolute worst. Ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on a croissant. Had to pull up to the front of the door and wait 10 min for my ONE sandwich. After I received my sandwich, I checked the inside and the sandwich was BLACK! I had to go inside and get my sandwich redone. I waited for another 10 minutes to receive my new sandwich, and guess what... IT WAS BLACK. I will NEVER visit this location again. read more

I recently asked for a mixed dozen and they just offloaded a bunch of plain, dry donuts, that no one is going to eat. You would be better off buying something at the Food Lion across the Street. We are from out of town where we don't have Dunkin although we've been to Dunkin before. This was hands down the best one I've ever been too. I ordered a specialty drink and the barista double checked what I wanted to make sure she got it right and it was perfect when I got it. Another worker was telling us about the Spider-Man donuts they have but that they had run out which wasn't a big deal but would have been cool to get for our son. She then went out of her way to make one while we were waiting for our drinks. We also ordered two croissant sandwiches and before we were even done with our order a guy came from the back to tell us they only had one croissant but offered to make it on a bagel and made sure to ask which kind we wanted. Absolutely terrible service/staff. I have attempted to stop and get coffee and donuts TWICE and left angry with nothing but an excuse as to why I should never stop at another Dunkin' again. And every other week we USED to spend multiple hundreds of dollars on coffee and doughnuts for our employees. The last two times I have tried, the employees were playing on there phones and only after myself and other disappointed customers pulled to the window after waiting in the drive through 20 minutes.
