A hot Krispy Kreme donut is perfection. They are so light and airy and melt in your mouth. We have been to this location many times over the years. So here are highs and lows: Highs - perfect hot glazed original donuts - hot sign on a lot - other donuts are good too - can watch them make donuts - good prices - fun hats on tables - drive through option Lows - uninspiring coffee IMO - just donuts - usually a slow line - tables usually dirty read more

Worse Krispy Kreme I've ever been too. On my last trip the app shows the hot light sign on so I came in to hot doughnuts since they haven't been offered for the past few days. I arrive, wait in line for 10+ minutes to be told I can't get hot doughnuts until 5 o'clock even though the sign is on. I will never visit this location again, guess I'll be going to duck doughnuts from now on. read more

Undoubtedly the slowest service levels in all of RVA ... wayyyy to expensive for what you receive and the doughnuts were stale and hard .. I will NEVER return read more

This Krispy Kreme is an abomination of a donut place and should be a case study in what happens when owners fail to police their managers and staff. I have come here twice in the past few months and my experiences were near identical: their inside area is inexplicably closed super early so they force everyone into the drive-thru, the service there is incredibly rude and slow, and you don't even get the filling in the donuts you are paying for. When there are so many better local options around and you're going to be paying a ton of money regardless, no reason to even bother with KK. Give this place a pass. Overall: 1.0 star ----- Pros: - Donuts are good, hard to mess up donuts if we're being honest. Cons: - Awful service. - Inexplicable policy of closing the indoor area early destroys the speed of service. - Donut prep leaves out key components on occasion, ruining what little remains of the value proposition here. read more

Don't waste your time ordering online. They NEVER have it ready. Wait 5 minutes past estimated time or an hour ... it doesn't matter. You'll still wait just as long as people walking in and have to stand in line just the same. So I asked an employee, "so ordering online doesn't do any good?" His response, " it does, I just don't get it ready until people get here". This hasn't happened once or twice. It happens Every. Single. Time. I'm done with this place. read more

No ice that's crazy. Then there's no lemonade to be drank. It's lunchtime why is this place so far behind the employees are playing around in the back by the donuts being made laughing yelling can't have ice drinks. This place is a lost cause. read more

This location is not how I remembered it. Building was half lit up as if they didn't want any customers coming in... they were still open for 2 more hours. I went on a saturday evening and initially went to the drive thru but received no service after waiting a few minutes and attempting to talk. Then went inside and an employee came over that seemed upset that she had to put her phone down to help a customer. I asked if they had hot donuts and the employee stared at me for 10 seconds and then said "what you see is what you get". I couldn't believe the response from the employee and I had to hold back my own words. The display case was also disappointing with only a few donut options to choose from unlike what Krispy Kreme advertises. Don't waste your time coming to this location, it's not like it used to be. read more

Yall! What is going on here? The drive through window looks like a crime scene and there were hardly any donuts available when we arrived today at 1:00. We got a couple mini's but the rest were crème filled and the only original they had were the mini's that didn't look fresh. They were literally out of 70% of the donut flavors. It was a strange visit. Apparently the other Krispy Kreme across town had similar shortage issues. They also recently had to reschedule a school fundraiser of ours because they had issues with the glazing machine, although I'm not sure this was the location. The donuts are delicious! Keep the simple formula and do it well. The product is great. Perhaps management issues? read more

Everything about this place is horrible. Rude, uninviting, and very unhappy staff. Always out of 90% of donuts. If you're lucky you will get jelly donuts with jelly actually in them. Even their Manager talks bad about his own store and staff when we've been in. Will not be back. read more

KK products were my favorite doughnut. But the service experience is terrible- so bad I was forced to find alternatives. Ordered online , and paid for Christmas doughnuts at 8:00 in the morning, scheduled for a 1:00 pickup. I arrived and since the store was closed, I sat in the drive through for 30 minutes only to be told they had run out of Christmas doughnuts. I doubt that I will be back. I don't know what's going wrong. Perhaps they will soon be out of business. So sad. Positive note-They did issue a refund to my credit card very quickly! read more

All the original glazed donuts are old. No fresh donuts are being made. I wish I'd paid attention to that upon enter the store. I'm just accustomed to always having fresh original glazed as long as I go into the restaurant rather than going in the drive thru. Really feeling ripped off, but my kids will still eat them. read more

This is beyond sad. The last 5 times I've come to both this location and Midlothian. They've been "out" of glazed donuts. This is actually crazy. Hard to believe this has happened in a short period of time. Years ago, this place was top tier. You could come in the middle of the night and get donuts. Now, no matter what time it is. They're out of everything. Don't waste your time. There's no way the district manager knows about this and the fact that they're throwing away this many donuts. Like, no wonder you're sold out of glazed donuts! They're all in the dumpster!! Trash service. Trash location. Matter of time before they're shut down. read more

Krispy Kremes is always a good idea. We decided to pick up half a dozen on our returning leg of our road trip. We got the cake batter, pumpkin spice cheesecake, strawberry icing and original glazed donuts. They were delicious. I enjoyed the subtleness of the pumpkin spice. We enjoyed the coffee which is a nice balance of robust flavor with sugary sweetness of the donut. The location was clean. The bathroom cleaning chart had been completed every hour and the bathroom showed it. Service was alright. Overall good experience! read more

I've never been here when it's so bad. Even slammed with a line out the door, it's been great service, quick, with a smile. Today it was none of those. It was empty when mom and I walked in at 2pm for some strawberry glazed donuts she'd seen promoted online. They were out already but the woman who we asked about it walked off after we asked. When she got back, we asked about raspberry filled donuts since we didn't see any and she confirmed that they had those. Then she walked off again. This time she went into the drive thru. After a minute or so another woman walked up and asked us what our question had been. Turns out the first woman had lied and decided to hide from us She hadn't even started the box we'd already gone through of 6 original glazed I understand being out of something, even if I've never seen this location out of so much. It sucks, but it happens. I dislike being lied to and hidden from though. Two stars only due to nostalgia and what is likely a vain hope that this was an out of the normal day for this location. read more

This is absolutely the worst Krispy Kreme of all time they decided to put the hot and now sign ON BUT closed the inside they were not closing because it was 5 in the afternoon so it was no reason for them to close the doors so early I then proceeded to walk up to the drive through and politely asked if I can place a order the manager who has a beard glasses and is obese decided to smirk in my face and and me i cant place my order because a safety issue (which is bs) after seeing me try to come in the inside so after all that I got nothing and all they had to do was unlock the door this shows that they don't want to do their job and don't care about messing the customers over. I highly recommend NOT going to this establishment ever because they do not care about their customers only their pockets. read more

Don't bother to pre-order because they probably don't have the donuts you ordered and your order will not be ready for you when you come to pick it up. If you really want donuts, you are best to just show up and choose from whatever they have. Really poor customer service when you try to discuss why they don't have what was promised. read more

I yearned for assorted donuts. But unfortunately, twas not provided. I had a simple order of 1 box assorted donuts, dozen glazed, 1 coffee. I only got glazed donuts & coffee. Only old people would eat a box of glazed donuts. Are you calling me old? Idiots. Second the service was trash and it seemed there was only one person working there and the employee was rude as hell! Lastly the front door was locked and we had to go though the drive through. And the inside looked meh. read more

They never have any doughnuts they are rude and lazy I have been here multiple times and different hours and always the same NO doughnuts

A once treasured stop from childhood, this place has really gone downhill. I have to think that there's a regional manager trying to save money and it is impacting staffing level. I also think that there's a missing component of customer service training. Because this place used to be fantastic. And yet on repeated visits, I've found staff to be short tempered, impolite, and even inept. Today I had to come in from having been through the drive through. I told them they got my order wrong, ran off the order a few times, and they insisted what was in the box was correct, after swapping out a few donuts. I still felt like something was wrong, but I caught attitude from the woman behind the counter, who kept repeating what I said and insisting it was in the box. I left feeling stupid, as she intended, no doubt. I got home and told my mother what was in the box and she said, "Oh, well this and this one are missing." So despite coming in, despite the insistence from the person behind the counter, we still didn't get the order right. Between that and the increase in pricing, making a mixed dozen nearly $20, it's just not worth going here anymore. Not to mention catching them with the "Hot Donuts Now!" sign on is a rarity, akin to spotting Bigfoot. At this point I'd rather keep it local and go elsewhere than mess with people who have bad attitudes who can't fill the order properly at high prices. read more

Kristy Kreme had that light lit up, so we stopped to get some hot donuts. they had some new mixed berry donuts that looked good so we tried them and although I liked them, I just wasnt thrilled that it cost extra to try them out. they were individually like $1.80 or something like that, so it makes your dozen cost more. I tried it anyway, and they were pretty good. I still feel like the glaze donuts are the best no matter what.(especially hot out the oven) My only complaint was we came right at 6 when the hot light was on, but the cashier gave us donuts out of the case. I asked why and he went back and got me hot ones fresh out the oven. read more

I visited with my kids & they had the cutest little mini donuts available. Although they were cute, they were kind of stale. I took off one star for that because I'm Used to their donuts being fresh and delicious. We went through the drive thru and due to Covid, not many people were inside. So, the drive thru line was wrapped around the building and out into Broad St. The service was fine & quick, so there are no complaints there. read more

Just had the absolute worst experience at this location. I placed an order for 1pm pick up. When I placed the online order for a dozen there was a promotion for a dozen glazed for $2 if you purchase a dozen. I thought I added this to my cart. Upon arriving i checked the app and realized I did not. I asked the woman at the register if it was possible to add that now. She, as she was applying chapstick, said no. Ok fine, but gross to apply chapstick behind a service counter. I then waited for my 1pm dozen to be packed. Another young lady started to box my dozen one donut at a time. If customers came in she would stop and help them, sometimes 4 customers ordering multiple dozens. Still packing my box one donut at a time. At this point I was getting slightly irritated as Susie Chapstick was standing around goofing off with other employees while this young girl was clearly swamped. Finally Chapstick face comes over and asked very rudely, what do you need? I said I'm waiting for my 1pm pick up. (It's 1:05 now) she snaps at me, eyes bulging "well it's only 12:50 and it's her second day" I said no, it's actually 1:07 and I just want my order. I don't care if she's new, you shouldn't be stoping and helping lines of people. Tell them you'll be right with them or perhaps you should've come over sooner to assist! Anyway, the donuts were disgusting and stale and I will never patronize this location again. read more

Krispy Kreme, oh how I love.... when the Hot Donut sign is on. I will make this review short and sweet, just how I enjoy my Donuts. Everyone who works at Krispy Kreme is devoted and Incredibly nice. I reckon you would have to be considering us sugar craving crazies that brave a winter storm to come out and get a fix of those sweet delights. Usually when I come here everything is 100% hot and fresh, I braved yesterday's snow storm to get a Holiday Mix but unfortunately they were already sold out of the cinnamon swirl and even though I asked for two Santa belly Donuts that was not to be. I was also disappointed that the two Ugly Sweater Donuts we're not filled with anything at all, they were just sad empty ugly sweater Donuts. On the bright side, even though it seems many people now view Krispy Kreme Donuts as becoming overpriced with a shrinking product, you can still get a mixed dozen for under $12 including tax. read more

So if your kids get A's on their report cards, they can get a free doughnut for each A up to six. We went yesterday and took my kids and their report cards. My daughter received straight A's so the nice gentleman gave her six free doughnuts. My son received a few Bs on his report card (We are proud of him and still love him!), however the nice gentleman only cared only about rewarding his accomplishment, gave him six free doughnuts, no questioned asked! He could have been a stickler and reduced his haul per the KK letter of the law but he chose to be kind! We really appreciate him and his actions! read more

Dessert and a show! Yes, at Krispy Kreme you get the "hole" shebang! I'm not going to sugarcoat my opinion, this place smells like heaven! I walked in and got a table, first of all, the restaurant was spotless. Secondly, the tables had wooden donuts inlaid in them and those iconic paper hats on every table. Adorbs! While I waited for my friend, I stood at the window and watched those hot, fresh, sugary delights travel down the conveyor belt. The waterfall of glaze had me mesmerized. Get in my belly! We ordered what else? Coffee and donuts! The service was great. Our server was pleasant, funny and efficient. They know not to rush you when choosing your treats, so many delicious options! The prices are fab, you may have enough money in your ashtray to pay for this dynamic duo! (Unless you get a dozen, which I highly recommend!) Did I mention they have a drive thru? The mini gift shop is cute! I never knew they had so many precious mugs and cups! At out table, we sipped and chatted and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. I could see coming here for a business meeting, to study or work with your laptop, or just to hang out! Krispy Kreme has got their forte down packed! Donut miss out on this place!
