    Blueberry lemon

Went to the farmers market to grab some of the blueberry lemon donuts. It is a food truck or bus I should say that is brightly colored. They take card or cash (tips welcomed). Service was excellent; you place your order, pay and move to the left like the electric slide and wait patiently for your donuts. They are freshly made...you can't beat a warm donut that just melts in your mouth. This was my second visit and the apple cider donuts are just as delicious!

[Pandemic review - 2020] A friend recommend these when I came to visit Richmond. The truck moves its location, so you will want to check their social media to know where they are at. We got up early to be among the first to get them. That day they were selling apple cider donuts and hot apple cider (see pics for the prices). I decided to go with the dozen without any dipping sauce. One of my friends did get the apple cider and liked it. I thought it was a little too expensive for what it was. The donuts were nice and hot and covered in sugar. I personally thought there was way too much sugar. I dusted off a lot of it before trying it. They tasted good fresh...but I don't think it is worth getting up early, flagging them down, and paying $10 for a dozen ($6 for 6 donuts). The donuts are medium sized. Bigger than mini donuts but smaller than say a Krispy Kreme donut. I guess if you are craving fresh donuts, these are good. Otherwise I can't really justify the price.

First Stop Donuts made a trip to the neighborhood we live in today! Sending thanks to you all coming out during this crazy time. We were able to preorder last night for a dozen donuts. My husband was able to go pick up this morning during the time we selected and they delivered to the car. The donuts came in two baggies 1/2 dozen each. They were toasty hot apple cider donuts, super delicious. Perfect amount of cinnamon and sugar covering the donuts. The only thing I would say is that I wish the donut was slightly larger... they were on the petite side. For anyone that has had an Apple Cider Donut from Carter Mountain or Carpe Donut in Charlottesville, very similar. All in all very good I would totally get their donuts again

Had my first, first stop donuts experience at the South of the James Farmers Market! Service was super friendly. We got cider donuts and a cold apple cider. This was the best cider donut I've had! Warm, soft and chewy on the inside, and a tiny bit crispy on the outside. They are quite small but the perfect little treat!!

These donuts are so delicious. Served fresh with a crunchy outside and warm center. Flavor and texture both on point. Only a short wait for them to be made fresh and great price, too.

As someone who enjoys plant-based food, I can honestly say they have some of the best plant-based chicken sandwiches around. Calling all vegetarians, veganish foodies, and anyone curious about delicious meat-free options--you have to try the Triple M Sandwich! It's my absolute favorite, and I always order extra sauce because it's that good. Their vegan nuggets are amazing too, especially paired with one of their fresh lemonades. Every meal I've had from them has been flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. The customer service is just as impressive as the food. The entire staff is always kind, welcoming, and pleasant. A special shoutout to the owner, Henry, who truly cares about his customers and community. I've even used 1115 Mobile Kitchen for catering, and they exceeded my expectations. Whether you're grabbing lunch or planning an event, I highly recommend them. Be sure to follow them on Instagram and check the link in their bio to see where they'll be next. They travel all around the city, so they may be popping up in your neighborhood soon!

The fries weren't crispy. I asked if it was possible to sub a side, which they did, but I wasn't made aware of an up-charge fee. I also got the banana pudding. I love that they partner with All Dis Puddin but it was extremely small for the price ($7). There was also an automatic service charge I wasn't aware about when I added additional tip. Altogether everything photographed with tax and tip was a $50 meal and it was not worth it.

I peered from afar in envy, but I had brought my lunch so I resisted a purchase of my own. My self-control wasn't quite as strong today. I had brought my lunch again, but Slideways was announced as a last-minute replacement for a different truck. I couldn't resist after reading through their menu. I purchased the combo platter, which came with a drink, hand-cut crispy fries, and the choice of mix/matched sliders. I selected the grilled chicken bacon ranch and the barbecue bacon cheddar beef. The food appeared to be made to order, as it took maybe 10-15 minutes to receive. My estimate could be off, though, since it was frigid and windy outside so time felt extra long! Both sliders were really tasty, but I leaned toward the beef as my preference. The beef was cooked a perfect medium and wasn't dry at all. The chicken was good but kind of basic. The fries were probably the best part. They were seriously delicious! I could eat those daily. My total was $14 after tax/tip, which is on the higher side but not too crazy for the quality and heartiness of the food. I'd definitely order again in the future.
