We were so excited to try 1115. I've heard raving reviews from friends. We just weren't impressed and the meal was expensive for chicken sandwiches that were on par with cheaper places. The fries weren't crispy. I asked if it was possible to sub a side, which they did, but I wasn't made aware of an up-charge fee. I also got the banana pudding. I love that they partner with All Dis Puddin but it was extremely small for the price ($7). There was also an automatic service charge I wasn't aware about when I added additional tip. Altogether everything photographed with tax and tip was a $50 meal and it was not worth it. read more

I stopped eating chicken about a year and a half ago, but it used to be my favorite food. Surprisingly it wasn't that hard to give up, but the sight of a food truck selling plant-based chicken? Sold. They were parked at Vasen last Friday and I ordered the OG fried chick'n sandwich with homies and ranch as sides. There was a hiccup with their online ordering system misfiring tickets, but they corrected it pretty quickly and were friendly about it all. I had to peel back the coating to confirm it was indeed not real chicken. It looked so authentic! It was a hearty portion, but I managed to eat the whole sandwich and most of the homies. Both were beyond delicious. They do sell real chicken for folks who eat it, too. I'm sure that's also really good. I'm sure I'll be looking for the truck again soon. They're top tier. read more

So I love the food that is served from this truck. Serve me baby serve me yaaaaaaasssss! So, I'm gonna be honest, Richmond VA has some ah-mazing vegan eats. No lie. Just facts. So when I heard of these folks I was like "so what?" BUT then I scanned the menu cause I want to validate my thoughts when I can.... that's when I saw "plant based shrimp" which was a game changer. So my first time trying them, I got there an hour before closing and they sold out of everything. I was annoyed. Like for real. The audacity! BUT, I put my name (Instagram handle) on a list to receive something cool. Didn't receive. All good. I saw they would be at another location and I was like "I'm gonna try these damn vegan skrimps!" I drove to some housing community in Midlothian, like, I had no idea this community existed. (Looked up on Zillow for sh*ts and giggles and $aw why I didn't know) Anywho, I told them I was on list and never heard anything.... they hooked it up. Like..... the vegan shrimp was on HIT! The sandwich could of used a little more of the toppings (dragon slaw, onions, pickles) I ended up pushing the toppings to one side and ate half of the sandwich. Wow...super delicious and one of the best food trucks I've encountered in the Hallsley neighborhood. Food was hot with large serving sizes and plenty of complementary sauces. I've been stalking this food truck on IG and finally caught them on my day off during V72x2 vegan week... I'm so glad I did! I drove to Hardywood Richmond, and found the perfect parking spot in seconds. ( and thought to myself... okay..this is a great start!) When I walked up to the truck, I quickly realized I had to order online only. (I wish I'd known that before I came!) But... I'd heard so many positive reviews of the truck I was willing to wait. So, I quickly ordered and realized it would be almost 2 hrs.. but again.. I was willing to wait..so I did. They had a nice set up to wait.. picnic tables and seating under tents with a couple outdoor heaters.. and after awhile a guitarist showed up on stage to play some live music. It was a very very long wait but it was worth it when my food came out! I ordered a Triple M chicken Sando..aka a extremely delicious vegan chicken (soy protein) sandwich on a dairy free brioche bun, it came with a side of homies (potato wedges cut into cube sized chunks) I didnt read the menu and wasnt aware it came with a side so I ordered a extra side of homies too. My sandwich and lil homies were a perfect match... I was pleasantly surprised at how large, and delicious this sandwich was! This crew kills it with my order every time. Always correct, the specials are great, they've got unique drink options, the variety of sauces is top tier, and the food is always tasty! Today I got the Texas Beach sandwich special with traditional chicken, and some chicken bites with MMM sauce and ARs hot honey sauce. So good. You gotta try it, especially the plant-based options! I had been Instagram stalking 1115 since the start of my plant based journey last year I got to finally try them last month and was instantly their biggest fan. Having a plant based diet usually limits my options for eating out My family and I either stay home or resort to a classic beyond burger or salad. With 1115's beautifully done plant based options not only have we found an amazing spot to eat but we've added to the options we can join friends at.
