Best lunch spot in Richmond - Incredible Quality, Value, and Heart…read more Christie's Lunch Cart is the real deal. Everything is hot and fresh - made to order, no shortcuts. The steak and cheese on a pita is fire. Seriously, whatever you normally get, try that at least once. You won't regret it. Under $10 for a sandwich and chips in 2026? Are you kidding me? That pricing is phenomenal, especially for this quality. June, the owner, runs Christie's with old school customer service, the "Hey baby" kind. She knows her regulars, remembers orders, and genuinely cares about every person who walks up. 2026's been the hardest year in the cart's 26 years history thanks to inflation, but June refuses to pass those costs on to us. She shows up daily with a smile and confidence because God's got her, and we should too. What to order: Steak and cheese on pita. Don't sleep on the cookies (she's got the only oatmeal raisin I'll eat.) Honestly, everything's delicious. Show up. You'll get it

I ordered the chicken cordon bleu balls, subsequently choked, caught myself in an attempt to be professional, and then walked upstairs and laughed with my coworkers over the hilarious name. I mean, who can be fully mature all the time, right? Right? All said, the chicken/ham mix balls were quite tasty, and the dijon sauce rolled all the flavors together nicely. Also loved the fries -- they were perfectly seasoned and only a $2 addition to the ball platter. Huge portion too. Didn't even need the toasted sub roll they include. I'd be interested to try their other balls, including the traditional meatball. Definitely a cool concept for a food truck.

As someone who enjoys plant-based food, I can honestly say they have some of the best plant-based chicken sandwiches around. Calling all vegetarians, veganish foodies, and anyone curious about delicious meat-free options--you have to try the Triple M Sandwich! It's my absolute favorite, and I always order extra sauce because it's that good. Their vegan nuggets are amazing too, especially paired with one of their fresh lemonades. Every meal I've had from them has been flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. The customer service is just as impressive as the food. The entire staff is always kind, welcoming, and pleasant. A special shoutout to the owner, Henry, who truly cares about his customers and community. I've even used 1115 Mobile Kitchen for catering, and they exceeded my expectations. Whether you're grabbing lunch or planning an event, I highly recommend them. Be sure to follow them on Instagram and check the link in their bio to see where they'll be next. They travel all around the city, so they may be popping up in your neighborhood soon!

This food truck was set up outside Hardywood Richmond brewery during the vegan week event. It sat side by side with another truck. I couldnt help but notice there were so many people waiting for food, I was tempted to not order but couldnt pass up the opportunity to try them. I love all things macaroni and cheese and normally dont want anything different or extra in it, but I figured if its fused with soul food it's got to be good, right? So.. I waited 2 hours, in my car and out in the cold for my order.. they had it set up where you order online and wait to be called/text for pick up. After a long wait, I finally got my mac. It looked good, just had a bunch of scallions cut on top.. overall... I'd have to say its good..vegan 'cheesy flavor and color. I'm not 100% sold on taste though. I only ate half so I need to try it a 2nd time. I'm a bit of a mac n chz snob. And I'm not sure about the mix of kimchi and mac. Let me say this. It definitely taste good, would I order again, yeah, I might. I would for sure try something else next time.

The first time I tried to order it (around noon last Thursday at his Pleasant's Hardware location), he was already sold out. He said since it was new, the product moved pretty quickly and offered pasta salad as a secondary option, though I declined as my heart was set on the turkey salad. Undeterred, I decided to visit again on Tuesday, and upon walking up to the truck, he announced, "I have your turkey salad this time!" I know it was less than a week between visits, but remembering my order when I had literally never been to his truck before? Whoa. I recently moved to the Libbie Ave. area, so I'm maybe five minutes away and can easily drive over for more. Honestly, I'm kind of kicking myself for not buying two helpings. It was enough for two sandwiches (sliced bread purchased elsewhere), but I easily could've kept eating it! it was SO good. I added sides of cheese and fruit (as I would do at Christopher's, too) and they were great. The fruits were grapes and pineapple chunks. The $5 meal also comes with crusty bread, and he'll offer butter too (though I declined because I have butter). All said: I'll be back soon!
