The torta was soooo good, all of the flavors mixed perfectly together. And I loved the homemade chips with the guac that had a good tang of lime. Although service is always very sweet, the mangonada is something that I normally get from either here or dahlia. This time, I felt like the mangonada was not as big and the consistency was off then normal. Their prices are a bit more expensive than other places as well. At first we had gotten a small mangonada while ordering a large which was not a big deal, although the large mangonada we were given was taken from the fridge or freezer so most of the mangos were kind of frozen (usually soft) and the ice part of it was more chunky/clump than it was supposed to be (likely because it sat inside of the cold). I'm from San Diego, and since moving to Richmond, I've spent the past two years searching for a Cali-style burrito that brought me back to what I knew and loved. I finally found it with the Renzoeats burrito. From the first bite, I was hooked. The flavor, the texture, everything was spot on. The carne asada was especially impressive. It was tender, flavorful, and cooked with just the right amount of char. Finally!!! While it didn't come with the traditional spicy red salsa I was used to, the orange salsa was a surprisingly perfect complement. I couldn't put it down. I'm definitely getting the Renzoeats burrito again, but after that, I plan to customize one with just carne asada, sour cream, and guacamole, my go-to combo back in San Diego. This was a Mexican food "stand" that popped up at browns island for a festival.. I ordered an elote en vaso($6) and quesabirria tacos($17). The elote was great! Sweet, savory, creamy but texture was different because it was not on the cob. The quesabirria taco were pretty good. Good meat and consomé. The only critique was the crispiness of the tacos, they were a little soft. Given it was a stand and not a real kitchen it was still excellent. This place has been on my list but a local food reviewer on social media got me here! It's a smaller establishment with heavier foot traffic, you can dine in and there are two tables outside. My group placed our orders online and arrived less than five minutes prior to our pick up time. We did end up waiting another twenty minutes but it was worth it! I ordered the RenzoEats burrito and a cup of street corn in a small. I loved that with each bite of the massive burrito, there was a new combination of flavor. Been here multiple times, and regardless of online or in-person order, be prepared to wait anywhere from 20 to an hour for even the simplest of items. The food was descent. I feel that the tacos were a bit unflavored and a bit on the dry side. The torta was okay, again a bit dry. It was supposed to be an Al pastor torta and it lacked the pineapple and redness to the meat. The fries were good, especially because you can tell they are frozen fries. We decided to give this place a try due to a post on Instagram that stated it was amazing. They were not lying about that. We walked in and it was a bright and clean presence. Very nice ambience. The selections are all provided to you via the menu on the wall and the ice cream case that is awesomely displaying their flavors. The woman taking our order was in peasant and accommodating. I ordered the Quesabirrias with shrimp (3 tacos in each order). They usually come with pork, but as I stated in the previous paragraph, they were accommodating. He ordered an El Pastor quesadilla (comes with fries). The quesabirria tacos come with the dipping sauce and a spicy sauce that has a serious kick to it. The tacos were not skimpy on the shrimp and filling. The sauce was great and spicy and the dipping sauce was delicious as well. He said that the quesadilla was delicious and the fries have a spice or seasoning on them that keeps you wanting to eat them. I tasted the fries and I am still in my feelings that my order didn't include fries (lol). Unfortunately, I could not taste their ice cream selections, but I will DEFINITELY go back as many of Their flavors look so delicious. They can be made into smoothies. I am a big birria fan, having lived in Southern California and visited Mexico a few times, so I have been wanting to try E-Loteria's version of it! I was happily surprised, and loved their birria tacos. The meat was juicy, tender, and the consommé served with it was so flavorful. Loved the ambiance with the Loteria wallpaper, and as a special treat they had the balloon backdrop from their birthday celebration. I liked their horchata too and it wasn't too sweet. Randomly saw this place on Yelp and added to my to-try list. Finally got a chance and I was sooooo happy with the food! I was craving elote and their originial elote featured sweet and chewy corn with a nice layer of mayo and queso. You have the option of picking different spice levels. The outside was perfectly crispy and not greasy. Plenty of protein inside and the consommé was flavorful. They give you a decent portion of broth so you even have some leftover to sip on if you'd like. They give you salsa verse as well as some cucumber salad. The salsa verde had a nice kick to it. The cucumber salad wasn't perfect pallet refresher. Service was great and our food came out quickly. This is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. It did come out hot, but I didn't get the cheese that I paid for on my tacos. I told the girl at the register and her response was that she would let them know.
