My son and I met here for dinner on a Thursday evening. It is in a strip mall so there is adequate parking. The inside is fairly large and we got seated right away. The food was good as well. He had chicken and rice with tortillas and I had a quesadilla. They have a cool tortilla machine in the front section where they make the smaller sized tortillas. It goes through a type of oven then up a conveyor belt and drops into a basket. I thought that was interesting to have out to be seen. The interior is well lit, lots of decorations and overall good experience.

This is my go to Mexican restaurant in the city. The flavors here are so good every single time I go the food and the service always a 10 out of 10 quick and hot the ambience and they're very nice. They have all the Mexican decorations from sombrero's to the flag Marlboro reading is 10 out of 10. It's very good every time.

Delish ! I love El Paso. One of my favorite Mexican spots in Richmond. A must go if you are around town. The staff is also friendly:)

My family and I stopped here to get a bite for lunch. The outside had nice meeting but it was cold and raining so we went inside. The decor was so cute, especially the lights. We were greeted quickly and order our drinks. The menu had alot to choose from and the food was delicious. We will be back.

What a wonderfully prepared soup Carne en su jugo. Looks just like the picture from the menu. And this is take out. Enjoyed the soup a lot. I also ordered horchata. The decoration of the restaurant is a bit busy but wow pretty cool lighting and booths. One thing I like to note ... the waitresses were cleaning the menus by wiping them down. That's awesome. I don't like greasy and sticky menus. Since this is during business trip , I didn't get to enjoy by dining in. But they were pretty busy with dine in customers and with good Yelp reviews ... plus the menu like take out presentation of my order I highly recommend paying them a visit. Forgot to mention how delicious and flavorful it is... the bacon stripes... ... grilled scallonions and jalapeños. Perfect!

Ate at El Paso on Cinco De Mayo... it was packed but the service was amazing! Food came out hot and server was very kind and attentive! The decor, bar and seating have been updated since I was last there. Can't wait to go back when it's not as crowded to enjoy good, authentic Mexican cuisine.

If I could give 10/5 I would! But 5/5 will suffice! My food was delicious, the ambiance was great and employees were welcoming/friendly! We got our food quickly & If you haven't seen the beautiful decor of this restaurant, you have to check it out! My partner had Fajitas Texanas & it was also delish

My gf had been coming here for a few weeks and had all good things to say so we came on a Wednesday evening. The inside was GORGEOUS, very vibrant and welcoming. The staff was very attentive to our needs. I ordered chicken fajitas and they were delicious, seriously so fresh! The veggies tasted like they just picked them out of the garden and served em up. We both got a large marg and honestly we could have split it, especially since this was first marg postpartum it was delish though! What set it apart from other places was that there was a hint of coconut that was so fresh and good! Never had anything like that. I'm looking forward to our next trip back.

El Paso has always been one of the better Mexican restaurants in my opinion. Always fresh food that's filling and enough for a couple of meals. In the current situation, I took advantage of their take out option. Ordered ahead on the app, though you have to pay in store. Ordered fajitas for two, which came with a hefty portion and two containers of salad and beans and 6 tortillas (3 individually wrapped each). I've ordered a few takeout Mexican spots and let me tell you this was the real deal, authentic and no skimping on anything. So flavorful. I kinda want to order again haha (prob will). Also put in the notes that I wanted white sauce, and had that with my chips and salsa. The salsa was just the right level of flavorful and spicy without being too much! I also ordered a frozen strawberry margarita. Babyyyy that thing was the truth. Let me tell ya they hooked it up just like when dining in. Love this place and glad to have them in the neighborhood and able to still serve up some delicious takeout!

It's been a little while since I've been here but they always have great service and they always have good food now they change their menu and have added a lot more seafood and more steaks... More high end offerings they even have octopus now which I have yet to try! I popped in with a friend last night after work of course we got the complementary chips and salsa which is always great got two margaritas on the rocks and I got the shrimp ceviche as my dinner and my friend got the chipotle chicken burrito it was huge... But they are always plentiful with their servings there isn't anything I have not had on this menu that wasn't good forgot to share the last time I was there but the salmon tacos were great also.

Came here because it was the only mexican food that was open late nearby, and they did not disappoint! I got the quesadilla with rice and guacamole, and it was SO good. It was a very big portion so i even had enough to bring leftovers. There was a live performance inside as well when I went on a Sunday night, and that was definitely a fun experience. Service was fast and great!

    Everything was fantastic!

Just getting home from a work trip and was craving Mexican food. This was the local spot so decided to check it out! Great service and Covid protocols from start to finish. Food came out fast and tasted amazing, even had left overs. The Manager came to check on us twice and the waitress helped us with the only difficult decision, what size drinks to get. Would recommend and will be back!

Have they made changes to seating for Covid?

Currently they are offering in house and out of house sitting. The in house booths close you off from other parties quite well and the tables are fairly spread apart.

I noticed the ice cream/yogurt spot nearby was hopping. There was a person asking for change outside the front door. We were greeted by an enthusiastic host and seated immediately at a booth up front. The server came by within seconds and brought us water and place settings. We decided to get the chips and salsa for an appetizer and a pair of melting chimichangas for entrees. I can't resist some chorizo and steak. My partner got the chimichanga without chorizo and with chicken. The ambiance was colorful with beautifully painted murals on each wall, and the atmosphere was undeniably loud. There were lots of patrons. The place was packed, even at the bar, so your mileage may vary. We received our orders within minutes of each other, so there wasn't much of a wait time. The chips and salsa were homemade, fresh, warm, and delicious (muy rico). Same for the entrees; exactly what I want in a Mexican food restaurant. The chorizo and steak were well-cooked, seasoned, and chopped finely, but not ground. I was in heaven with that chimichanga. We had to take home leftovers. The next night, heated in the oven at 325 for 30 minutes, they were similarly excellent. The night ended without dessert, sadly (too full). However, the server was quick and efficient, and he was always around to fill water and bring anything we needed throughout the meal. Great experience overall. We will definitely return here whenever we have a hankering for some good Mexican food at reasonable prices. I can recommend this place to anyone who appreciates hearty and filling Mexican food.

The ambiance can be described as eclectic and casual. It's great for big groups and relaxed lunches. There's a variety of menu options for food and drink. Our server was nice, but she didn't really answer our questions about the menu or substitutions, which was a little inconvenient. Also, we kept having to ask for utensils and napkins, which made our food get a bit cold. The pineapple habanero margarita tasted like spicy pineapple juice and was pretty expensive. It was pretty, but not worth the money. The food also was really average, but the portion sizes were good for sharing. The huitlacoche tacos were a little bland and soggy, the chicken chipotle tacos had a good sauce but were also soggy and the fajitas did not have enough seasoning. Not a restaurant that I would come back to, but I liked it's proximity to other dessert places nearby.

Celiac- Gluten- free Review…read more Lolita's has my WHOLE heart. Their gluten-free options may not be extensive, but they're enough, and they are done WELL (no dedicated fryers just FYI). Let me also give nuance to my love of Lolita's by saying first and foremost that I had the best cocktail I've ever had here, the Hotboxed Ferrari (Siete Misterios Mezcal, Byrrh, Piña, Campari, Fernet Branca, Cinnamon Deme, Salted Grapefruit Foam). I am rabid for Mezcal. I want to kiss the mixologist who developed this drink, because it is absolutely a balance of flavors that showcases the beautiful and perfect smokiness of Mezcal and good grief I almost fell out after my first sip. *deep breaths* So we just continue riding this wave of joy with the salsa and tostadas. Three types of salsas with unique flavors and different levels of heat. All three incredible. Blue-corn tostadas made in-house. And then a bowl of pozole verde. This damn sopa had me in a chokehold as well because how was everything perfect??? The textures, the flavors...I think I might have forgotten where I was because I got lost in that bowl. Best pozole verde I've ever had. Ordered the Choripapa and Suadero tacos- at this point I really could have ordered just one because your girl was almost at maximum capacity. The tacos are not cheap- ranging from $11-14- but to their credit, they do not skimp on the fillings and the flavors are top tier. Add in those fresh blue corn tortillas and you have a combination that truly did not miss in any way, shape, or form. Only disappointment I encountered the entire night was one of the drinks on the menu not actually being available (the frozen horchata-pumpkin colada), but my bartender made me a horchata coffee cocktail that definitely made up for it. Shout out to her, because she was throwing down on them drinks. So. True artistry experienced throughout the night, from the cocktails to the food. The atmosphere is so cool inside too, definitely a light summery feel which is a nice respite from this crazy winter blast we're experiencing at the moment. Love this spot and highly recommend.
