We stopped by for drinks and dinner and were immediately impressed by the setup. Located inside Väsen, the food operation has a cool food truck-style pickup window at the back of the brewery when your pager goes off (order at the bar). It's casual, efficient, and adds to the fun atmosphere. Most importantly, the food was absolutely exceptional. Every dish we tried delivered huge flavor and was packed with personality. This is the kind of food that makes you stop mid-conversation and comment on how good it is. The bar service was equally impressive. We placed our order through the bartender, and despite it being a Tuesday evening, there was plenty of staff on hand. Multiple team members checked on us throughout our visit, and every interaction was friendly, welcoming, and genuine. What really stood out was the sense of community. Although it's a relatively new addition to the Forest Hill area, it's already clear that locals have embraced it. They even have branded merchandise and cycling gloves for sale, and during our visit we watched several cyclists roll up, hop off their road bikes, and come inside still wearing their cycling gear. It felt like a true neighborhood gathering spot. Places like this give a neighborhood character, and Kobop Korean feels like something special. Outstanding food, great service, a fun atmosphere, and strong local roots. We'll absolutely be back.

I had the bulgogi taco which was huge! The beef was very flavorful, but it did have a ton of slaw/lettuce on it. I had to remove some of it. The dumplings were perfect! They were crispy and the soy garlic sauce was so good! The fries were ok. They were seasoned well, but could have been fried a bit longer for my liking. I also tried a 6 count of Korean wings in the bang bang flavor, they were ok, not as crunchy as I'm use to and the sauce wasn't my favorite. I think I'll try the soy garlic next time. To drink I had a Downeast cider which was served from tap and was cold and delicious (as usual). The service was great! There were no lines, we ordered quickly and got any questions we had answered. The seating was plentiful and they even had high chairs for those with kiddos. Everything was clean. I loved the food truck style pick up window! That just made the whole experience even better. I will be back to try a few other menu items.

The pizza was good but nothing to run home about. The sauce was sweet and the dough was thicker than I would've expected for a NY style pizza. It tasted nostalgic and reminded me of school cafeteria pizza (not meant as a bad thing). I wasn't a fan of the Buffalo chicken pizza. Mostly because the menu description wasn't accurate. It's listed as chicken, buffalo sauce, and cheese, which I would have loved! But it came with onions, green peppers, and what tasted like blue cheese. I would have opted for a different pizza if I knew that's how it came. The owner, Joe, seems to be responsive in the Facebook group and often posts updates with his hours and any special deals for the day.

The food truck hub location is definitely not a conventional location and can definitely be inconvenient to get to (especially for takeout during rush hour) on the bridge. The pizza though, was definitely worth it. Everything about the cheese pie was great, but what really stood out was the sauce on it. It was sweet, with a lot of flavor to it. I can definitely see why it has become people's favorite pizza in the area. I ended up eating 6 slices that night because it was that good. I would recommend and return to this location for sure!
