Lemon glazed crepe

The service was rather slow, but it was definitely worth the wait! The crepes were absolutely delectable! Gone in mere seconds. I would recommend if you are willing to wait a bit.

Naturelle crepe

I'll preface this with my friends got the savory crepes and thought they were great! The size of the crepes is also pretty big so it definitely works for lunch or a big/shared dessert. My friend and I tried the strawberry sunrise (strawberries with banana cream) and the Naturelle (cinnamon, sugar, added lemon juice & almonds). Both were a bit underwhelming. The 'cream' in the sunrise was just mashed bananas, and then cut strawberries on top. It wasn't very flavorful and most of the crepe was empty. The naturelle was very plain, but there wasn't enough cinnamon or sugar to taste. Also felt like it was missing some kind of filling. I'd try it again for savory crepes, or maybe other sweet flavors.

Saw this food truck at Hardywood West Creek and had to try it! Such sweet, lovely ladies with fun personalities serving up fresh, delicious French crepes! I had the Pearfect Galette with salty prosciutto, provolone, sweet pears, and pecans (savory), and though stuffed, had to try a sweet Dreamy Creamy featuring a whipped cream cheese and ricotta filling, fresh blackberries, and a chocolate couli drizzle. I could have eaten the filling by itself- super creamy with a hint of lemon. Both were fantastic and I would highly recommend (and would eat again)! Also- gluten free, which is a must for me and a pleasant surprise that I could could order from this truck. Their savory Galette is made with buckwheat so naturally GF, but the sweet crepes can be made with the buckwheat as well (normally with flour).

The best in Richmond!! Reminds me of the crêpes I had when I lived in France. And such AMAZINGLY friendly service. Will definitely be back and 12/10 recommend!!

Obrigado savory galette, with a mixed green salad. Loved it!

I enjoyed my savory galette! Which I guess is their savory crepe! I stopped by a few weeks ago on a random Tuesday, where there were a bunch of other food trucks out on Governor St. I wasn't itching for something sweet, so I settled on something savory. I liked the selection of savory crepes/galettes! They had a egg/sausage one, a veggie one, a pizza one...they seemed to have a decent selection of combinations! I got the "Obrigado", which had chorizo, sautéed peppers, onions, and mushrooms, with Manchego cheese. Loved every bit of it! The dough was thin, had a nice chew, and the meat and veggies were cooked perfectly. There was a mixed green salad that was served with it, which tasted very refreshing from the lemon-y dressing it was topped with. It complimented the galette very well. Not only that, but the girl who took my order was super nice and smiley, which was a pleasure! I might try a sweet crepe in the future [I see from the reviews that they are just okay], but I'm willing to give it a try! I would definitely get another savory galette though, oh yes I would.

Papa Ningo - Chicken chipotle quesadilla

This is a great, cheap, fast food truck located on the MCV Campus of VCU. I ordered a chipotle…read morechicken quesadilla and it came with two sides for $6! I had the rice and plantains, and they were delicious. The workers are super kind and even though the line was long, the food was prepared very quickly. The only negative comment I have is that I like my quesadillas to have a nice crunch on the outside, which this one did not (partly probably because of how quickly they have to move through the line). However, service is great and the food is great! There are many other food trucks right around this one, but this is definitely one of the best!

I'm not sure why Papa Mingo is listed under "Indian" because it's Mexican cart. Nevertheless, it is…read morethe BEST Mexican cart on the MCV campus. My go to is always the chipotle chicken quesadilla with rice and plantains. Unlike the other Mexican cart on campus, not sure the name but it's painted orange, Papa Mingo is very very generous with their protein. My quesadilla was oozing out cheese and chicken...just how I like it! I also tried the steak burrito previously and without fail, every bite had an equal proportion of steak, rice, salsa and hot sauce. Perfection. If you order an entree, you get all of the sides available. With a quesadilla you get 2 sides and no sides with the burrito. My favorite side is the plantains. It's not overly sweet and love the texture. I tend to get too excited with the hot sauce. I pour it on everything. The owners, who are hilarious by the way, warn me every time but of course I never learn. The heat is not unbearable for those who like spice but beware, it's a building heat. Next food truck friday, go try it out!
