It's one of those culinary grab bags where you never quite know if what you're eating is fresh, pre-prepared, good, bad, the best thing you've ever eaten, or hardly palatable. And it comes out of a vehicle. It's a weird experience that I 100% support. --Food: Every so often you come across a place where everything naturally gluten free, like 1 Smokery Pl., which is awesome news for me. I've been here a couple times and really have enjoyed everything! - Ghost Bites with Pork Belly: These are awesome! They're not really as hot as the name would make it sound, but they have a bit of a kick to them. The potato croquettes are absolutely amazing. I don't know how a potato croquette can be this tasty, but they're easily the star of the dish. They're crispy, seasoned impeccably, and have the most smooth and satisfying inside. The pork belly was good too, but really the potato and accompanying sauces are the real deal. - Smoked Chicken Nachos: Also really enjoyed these. Unlike the potato bites above, everything was more or less expected in these. That's not to say they're bad at all, because they're not, they're very tasty, but if you have in your mind what Smoked Chicken Nachos would taste like, you pretty much nailed it. - BBQ Bites: My fiancée got these and also really enjoyed them. The potatoes again were the center of discussion. --Cost: Well worth it and definitely in line with your average food truck prices. Most items are about $10, some the steak or fish being a little more. --Service: Staff is super nice. It's cook to order so you wait about 10/15 min for food. (like most Food Trucks). --Overall: Anyone that likes any of the descriptions of these items should check out 1 Smokery Pl., food allergies or not, as this is truly a great truck. If there was one downside it's that there seems to be an inconsistent schedule and finding them on any given day near you might be challenging. Other than that, easy 5 star for me.

I ordered the smoked pork belly bites to start. This portion was pretty good, but I thought it lacked a Smokey punch I was looking for. I finished with the Smokey tomato gazpacho. This was the real winner, amazing really. Smokey, a little spice, cool and refreshing, sweet, etc. The menu items were fun, but id love to see some traditional options as well (pulled pork, brisket, etc.).

The people are sooooooo nice and the services that I've received is great (and friendly). This may not be too helpful but I'm seriously going to try their whole menu. I got their (featured) spicy chicken the first time and it was great. It came with a refreshing starter soup and the food is a good size. The rice is fresh and the sauces...I poured the whole thing onto the dish haha. The chicken is tender and juicy - I got their fried chicken the two times I've gotten them and it had the perfect crunch to it. I'm def ordering their poach chicken next time (mainly because it is similar to one of my childhood dishes). ***it does come with cilantro so for those who don't like it, be sure to ask for it to not be included. Oh!- when I saw that they had the sticky rice mango dessert...it was a must get for me. It was perfect for the summer-juicy mango. The sticky rice was similar to how my mom made hers and the coconut syrup over it all. Yum! Chef's kiss* Def one of my food trucks I'll be ordering from each farmers market trip I do this summer! Haha. Ambiance- it's at the Rva big market on Saturdays at Bryan park. Most of the food truck are all at the back now. I can only speak on my experience in the AM.

Prior to our event, we went to a charity event where ValerEats was among many vendors to try them out. We were immediately sold by their delicious breakfast burritos and cheerful dynamic after what had clearly been a long day. The team was easy to communicate with and creative with our requested menu in order to accommodate food allergies. We originally estimated 75 people for our Sunday brunch for after our Saturday evening wedding reception. However, two weeks before our wedding we rechecked our RSVPs and realized 140+ people were planning on joining us on Sunday! ValerEats easily accommodated the higher guest count, and EVERY SINGLE ITEM of food was consumed! Just before closing, the Team announced they had 7 breakfast sandwiches and those were promptly snagged! We highly recommend ValerEats for any type of event.

I had to try an entree and was drawn to the meatloaf. I think it was lamb, pork, and beef combined for a tender meatloaf.
