Wow! I was almost disappointed with Richmond's hot pot scene (coming from DC/MD) until I experienced this place. First off the interior is bright, fun, yet beautiful! The gold pots and silverware gave it a slightly upscale feel. I liked being able to get the raw foods yourself instead of waiting on it to be brought.. i was able to use the kbbq meats in my hot pot (like thick pieces of salmon, chunks of chicken and beef instead of thin slices. The sauce bar was VERY clean and had great options.. even had old bay seasoning! Only downside was service. I was seated next to a table of 2 and in front of another solo diner (i was solo too), but i noticed these tables were checked on regularly by my same waitress who repeatedly skipped my table- i only was assisted when i flagged her down.. as she made her rounds to the tables around me. There was only one obvious difference- i'll let u see my profile pic to guess. Ill try another day but if this is a theme, i will gladly stop patronizing.. shame.

My new favorite place to be! I've visited Richmond Short Pump many of times and knew about this place, but figured it's just another buffet place that I can try another time. And if the sign stated "Korean BBQ Buffet " I would have been hitting it a long time ago! We'll, today was the day. And boy I was so amazed how big and fun it was! When you walk in it's so colorful and the decore is very trendy! Very clean and modern. The service was spot on, plus the price was good. Most other Koren BBQ Buffet places I've been where priced higher. I was so excited to start the experience The back wall had so many choices to pick from just for the soup experience , and sauces as well. The Island stands have the raw meat you can chose from for grilling. Plus cooked side dishes, fruits, vegetables, noodles, spring rolls, french fries...etc... I did both experience, and am glad I did. Everything was so tasty and delicious! Wish I could have tried everything, cause there was so much to try! I will definitely be back!

I came here during a weekday dinner and got the ayce for $34 pp. They give you one hot broth of choice, a variety of meats, veggies, and sauce fixing to choose from. The KBBQ also had a good selection of beef, pork, and some other meats. My favorite for the bbq were the garlic pork and spicy pork but they did they a long time to cook and get crispy. The ribeye and short rib were pretty good as well. I was able to try both the tomyum and miso soup. The Tom yum was very savory and sour and my preferred soup for the hotpot. It was very hot temperature wise which cooled the toppings and meat fast but was hard to sip on as I burnt my mouth a tad(but worth it). Overall it's easily the best KBBQ in the Richmond area! Qpot differentiates themselves from the other AYCE hot pot and kbbq spots by also offering a Chinese buffet. The restaurant is quite large and able to seat several different parties sizes. All of the food is self serve (besides the hot pot soup base), which I really like since you can control your own portion sizes and try a bit of everything. It can be overwhelming with so many food options so I'd recommend going with ample time to enjoy it. The table was kind of small when you're trying to manage the grill, pot, and various plates. Next time I'd probably focus on one thing at a time. For adults, lunch (M-F til 3:30pm) is $23 and dinner/weekends/holidays is $34. They do have a buffet only option during weekday lunch.

Came here for lunch before dinner hours. This is buffet type, hot pot and barbecue.. you can create your own sauces however you want. And you can also pick what goes into the pot. our waitress was very nice and helpful. Highly recommend. Kid friendly as well .

Spicy pork bulgogi, winter beef, Bachan beef

good atmosphere at the restaurant and good food. There is a good variety and the food has changed out quickly. Fast and efficient service.

Great first hot pot experience! I love being able to choose what you want and see all the options. Our waiter was so nice. We told him we'd never been to hot pot and he said he would be our teacher. So sweet. The place is also so comfortable and clean.

Short rib pork and a buncha other nice bbq things!

Been here many times. It's the best, by far, Korean bbq in the area. Service is amazing, quick, and helpful. Try the short rib pork and bbq that thang!!! The soup bases are delicious -- plenty of veggie options too. Love!!!

Parking is available on the side, or you can usually find street parking nearby. I really liked the industrial atmosphere, especially the swings, but we ended up sitting closer to the bar area. Our server was super nice, and the service was quick throughout the meal. FOOD REVIEW Sabai Platter - 3/5 Not bad for shareable during happy hour, but some of the items were just okay. Pad Thai - 4/5 The flavors and spice level were balanced really well. Pla Muk Tod (Calamari) - 4/5 Good overall, but I wasn't a big fan of the dipping sauce. Pik Gai Tod (Wings) - 4/5 Flavorful and really good. Moo Sam Chan (Fried Pork Belly) - 4/5 Tasty and flavorful, though a little over-sauced for my preference. DRINK REVIEW Thai Tea - 5/5 Refreshing and enjoyable. Thai Mojito - 5/5 Really good and refreshing as well. Overall, good food, great drinks, and friendly service.

I noticed a discrepancy between the amount on my receipt and what was actually charged to my card. It may have only been a small difference, but that's not acceptable under any circumstance. A dollar here or there adds up, and it raises real concerns when it appears to be a pattern. I had intentionally left a cash tip to ensure it went directly to my server, not through the business. Fortunately, I kept my receipt after hearing about similar situations happening before. When my statement came in, the charge didn't match. I called the restaurant to resolve the issue, and the floor manager said someone from management or accounting would follow up. Over a week later, I never received a call. I ended up disputing the charge with my bank. What should have been a nice Friday night dinner ended on a frustrating note. Unfortunately, that's what made the experience memorable--and not in a good way.

Walking in, it was completely empty, no customers. By the time I left, several tables were sat and they had a steady stream of carry-out/delivery pickups. The service was very spotty, as they only had two people working the dining room and so many people went without someone checking them in, I waited about 15 mins for my check and those delivery drivers formed a line waiting for their pickups. I tried their spicy cucumber salad and their three pepper beef, but I sub'd out the beef for chicken instead. The cucumbers were decent, they had a nice spice to them and the vegetable itself was fresh. The three pepper chicken came out on a sizzling platter (a fajita platter with aluminum foil on it) and looked pretty good. My first few bites had the great flavor of wok hei, which I love! But I quickly noticed there was no other flavor other than some sort of pickled pepper flavor, which is very odd in Chinese food. The chicken texture was great, but the entire dish was swimming in vegetal oil, it wasn't dry spiced and wok'd. Overall, this visit was only slightly better than the first, only because they were open this time. But I most definitely wouldn't return. I absolutely love and seek out authentic Chinese foods (Szechuan, Hunan, etc) when I travel and those this place offers many authentic style dishes, they seem a little too "Americanized."

The entryway is interesting and provides some shelter from the rain, allowing you to manage your umbrella before entering. We were seated within seconds, and our server, Liza, came by very promptly with some water for our table. I felt slightly anxious at first, being that we were in a cozy two-top amongst the fray, but it subsided quickly because everyone was respectful and reasonably quiet. We ordered the veggie spring rolls to start, and I had the Chinatown Ramen, and my partner had the Chicken Fried Noodles. The appetizer was hot, savory, and spicy with the duck sauce and hot mustard mixture. If you like milder sauce, do not mix it. The entrees came out within five or so minutes of the appetizers, which seemed quick for a busy night. The ramen was spicy, hot, and filling. I was only able to finish about half. We will be enjoying those leftovers tonight. My partner said that her noodles and chicken were well-seasoned and delicious, too. Looking around the restaurant, it is clear that they support the local LGBTQ+ community, and it is even labeled as a Safe Space on the beautifully manicured, makeshift chalkboard/menu/posting board. The clientele and staff alike seemed warm and kind, based solely on limited interactions and observation on my part. If you are looking for a traditional American-Chinese food restaurant (think buffet-style items), this is likely not the place for you. There were no mishaps or snafus with our orders. Liza performed her duties well, and I can surely recommend this restaurant to anyone who doesn't mind a mix of Japanese and Chinese cuisine.

They even have vegan kimchi and were so nice to bring out vegan gochujang because the one they have on the table is not vegan. We got the dolsat bibimbap and I always say the stone bowl is absolutely worth the extra money. The best part is always the crispy rice. Tteokbokki Having a vegan option without seafood was a great find. Most of the time the sauces have shellfish in them and I don't have the patience to make it from scratch. The noodles were cooked perfectly and they give you two vegetable dumplings on top. The sauce was nice and spicy without being too overwhelming. Kimchi pancakes: wish they had a bit more kimchi in them than the batter, but still good. Japchae with tofu, nice and almost beefy tasting. The black pepper was a nice punch. Korean fried tofu so nice and crispy with a really good sauce. I have been missing KFC since I turned vegan and good to know they have a good substitute for it. Service A good sized family run place where you can sit down or get take out. You order at the counter and they have a screen or you can be like us and take their paper menu to a table. A few four sized tables and some smaller two seaters. There was plenty of take out and delivery while we were seated. The person at the front was super helpful and patient as we tried to figure out what to order. They seemed busy and did not stop for too long the entire time. They came to bring us things and check in on us. Please use reusable cups for dining in and not styrofoam cups though! They have reusable utensils which is nice. Ambiance It's a fast casual place, but in a little strip mall in the county. They have K-pop playing and a stream of music videos so I didn't mind.

Updating my review!…read more I went back with my same friends and we've gone back a few times since our bad experience the first time! We love going random week nights because they tend to have some pretty good deals. we usually like sitting at a table but it's also super nice sitting at the bar! our past few times we have gone, we've had fantastic servers! Highly recommend. We usually get the cheese and chocolate. We like to get the Wisconsin cheese I think it's called and the turtle chocolate! so good!!

We ended up ordering the 4 course big night out meal which consisted of a salad, cheese fondue, a large shared entree with a broth to cook it in and chocolate fondue all served with multiple dippers. We went the weekend before Valentines day weekend which resulted in a busy evening. Our cheese fondue was a bit cold and separated upon arrival but we were able to heat it up more at our table. Our wait between courses was very long with us waiting 40 minutes between our cheese fondue and entree with no one checking on us or communicating. I did speak to a manager who spoke with our server and once we received our entree the wait time did decrease for our desert which was nice but I wish there was more communication about what was occurring as my partner and I genuinely thought that our servers shift may have ended and we were going to receive a new server due to the wait time and then having a food runner deliver us the broth with no food for another 10 minutes. For our desert we decided on the smores chocolate fondue which consists of chocolate fondue topped with graham crackers and flambèed. The lighter used left a smoky lighter fluid taste at the end of our fondue. So I woupd recommend skipping the flames on it but overall the food was good and the variety was very nice. The food at the melting pot is delicious and I do think they offer a great value per person in regards to food and experience of fondue. I would keep in mind that even the week before a holiday appears to be busy and that could affect service and impact your experience, with the cost of the melting pot I would have attended on a weekday to ensure I was able to enjoy it completely. It may be best to attend on a less busy day to have a full experience.
