In the almost 30 years (damn) since then I've tried to eat it a couple of times but beyond the ick the quality of ingredients gives me, the flavor disappointed more each time. The Kobop version is an elevated take that produces the same meaty, crunchy, crispy, and creamy mouth feel while exponentially enhancing the flavor with Bulgogi beef and a zippy sauce. My only concern is that it's so big that I'm taking half home and with shredded lettuce inside it won't reheat well. Looks like there's a second dinner instore for me. Beyond this delightful experience, I also couldn't resist trying the Snack Pack, a happy hour treat including a taco, 3 dumplings, and Nashville fries for $9. This is the kind of food that makes you stop mid-conversation and comment on how good it is. The bar service was equally impressive. We placed our order through the bartender, and despite it being a Tuesday evening, there was plenty of staff on hand. Multiple team members checked on us throughout our visit, and every interaction was friendly, welcoming, and genuine. What really stood out was the sense of community. Although it's a relatively new addition to the Forest Hill area, it's already clear that locals have embraced it. They even have branded merchandise and cycling gloves for sale, and during our visit we watched several cyclists roll up, hop off their road bikes, and come inside still wearing their cycling gear.
