This place is a joke. It took 3 people to help me place a very simple order. No matter how slow you dictate the order, the cashier stares off into space completely lost. The line is ridiculous, the store is dirty, and there are no creamers or sugar out for people to use. When I asked for sugar I was given dirty and wet sugar packets. They have 4 people preparing orders and they take forever. They roam around like they are lost and with no sense of urgency at all. No customer service skills, no people skills at all. I don't understand how this has become the standard. I don't expect Michelin star service, but basic service and courtesy is a must. First and last time here, hopefully they fully train the staff properly or just shut down altogether. REAL POS. read more

Definitely one of the nicer and more spacious dunks in the area. There's a clean area with plenty of seating and a view into pi alley (a lovely brick wall view but still lol). They're a little slower but also one of the more friendly locations and they have not gotten my order wrong yet (can't say the same for the one next to shake shack lollllllll) most of the time worth the wait but it def is a waittttt. read more

We were staying across the street at the Hyatt Centric Hotel and decided to pick up an early breakfast from this Dunkin location. They were open at least as early as 6 am, so that was very convenient. The cashier was very efficient with taking everyone's orders and was quick to get the drink orders out. In addition to two coffees, I also ordered two sweet pepper bacon breakfast sandwiches on croissants. They tasted great. There was a little bit ooverall. for the breakfast sandwiches, but it was not that bad. A great value overall. read more

This is a great Dunks location right near Downtown Crossing. Yes, there are at least 3 within a few blocks :) This one has a nice seating area in the front with nice interior... exposed brick and bar seating with dark ceiling. It just seems a little mark dark and quiet than the typical bright and loud seating areas. Always nice and friendly staff here. read more

I wish I could give a zero. I've tried calling to let them know I walked there to get a dozen donuts for my work and I to get specific donuts and I got an assorted dozen. How sad. Clean, efficient, quick. Stopped here for my morning dose of caffeine and they got it done. It is quite close to State Street and a bunch of the taller office towers in the area and so they get a good breakfast traffic. Coffee was hot and prepared properly. I didn't like it all especially since they won't warm it up due to people having allergies which is understandable but its not good cold at all. It's extremely dry. Above average DD. Plenty of indoor seating. Clean floors, tables, and chairs. Coffee isn't watered down like at some locations. Friendly and fast staff, free wifi like all DD, and cool location (right in downtown attached to Pi Alley). Just tried the new Rocky Road flavor of coffee, would recommend. Overall, while this may just be one of nth number of Dunkin' Donuts in the sea of them that oversaturates Boston streets, it is clearly one of the better franchises. Good job guys. I live in California. Dunkin' Donuts are not common. Whilst visting New England, I see them everywhere. Sort of like Starbucks on the west coast. It seems as though east-coasters get their coffee fix at DD like we west-coasters do with Starfucks, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Peets (the latter two are so much better than the first). So last time I was in Boston, I wanted to see what the fuss is all about. I wanted to see why in Good Will Hunting, one of my favourite movies, they always grab a coffee at Dunkin' Donuts on the way to work in the morning. My experience was extremely positive. Not only is it much less expensive than Starbucks, the coffee is much, much more flavourful. AND you get quality donuts with your brew, if you are so inclined. Food at Starbucks, of course, is prepared off the premises, shipped over, and then frozen/ refrigerated before consumption. I am a fan. read more

I can't lie. I love Dunkin D's. A lot. When I go home to the Midwest I have Dunkin D's withdrawal. Its bad. During the summer the iced coffee is what keeps me alive. So good and sweet and refreshing...and I seriously think they add some magic addictive ingredient that makes you come back over and over. Also, I'm a big fan of the muffins--especially any one that is encrusted with sugar on top. Good call Dunkin D's. What I especially love about DD's is that everyman's feel that you get when you're in there (or pretty much anywhere in Boston)--everyone, I mean everyone (rich, poor, black, white, young, old, you name it) has some good old Dunkin D's coffee in their hands. This specific location is especially good for that great mix of people--right at the corner of Downtown Crossing Park Street, Chinatown, and Crazy Person Land. This is a general review, not for a specific location.... That being said, I haven't been in a Dunkie's since Rachel Ray started schilling for them. That's reason enough for me to stay away. I know they've started this new toasted food thing, which I s'pose is better than nuking everything...But the food is kind of gross. There's no chew to them. OOH, and I HATE that if you ask for butter, at some locations you still get 1/2 cup of cream cheese on them, or EVEN WORSE 1/4 of Margarine. Butter is butter, margarine is margarine. Tell the customer what you are serving. And don't give them a heart attack by using more than a pat or two. Oh, and toasted means more than barely warmed up. The coffee is weak. Just pale ghosts of coffee. Coffee should not be transparent, it should be thick, black and opaque. You have to add a shot Dunkin's, to even give it a kick. FEH! I'm not an addict, I don't need to go every morning, but when I do need a little help waking up, I can count on the staff at the Washington St. Dunkin's to help me out with a medium iced mocha, extra light with skim milk. Dreadful. When you order a coffee at Dunkin' Donuts, the counter person asks you if you want cream & sugar, then proceeds to add it FOR YOU... I'm sorry, but I find this offensive. How can the counter person feign to know how much "cream" (I prefer milk, thank you) & sugar I want? What kind of business model is this? How much dairy product (if any) and sugar a person wants is a PERSONAL CHOICE, and should be left up to the customer. Would it really be so difficult to just leave the milk & sugar out for customers to do themselves, like in EVERY OTHER CAFÉ IN THE COUNTRY? And while you're at it, I don't suppose you could also offer me some Brown or Turbinado/Demerara sugar, could you? To offer white only is SO old-fashioned! I'm sure Dunkin' Donuts' business practices are probably steeped more in tradition than in common sense, and probably reflect the preferences of their largely blue collar customer demographic, but DAMN! I don't suppose they could progress or change with the times a LITTLE BIT, could they? I was in Boston, visiting a friend for Memorial Day, and on the way somewhere, we stopped in DD for a coffee. For the sake of getting in & out quickly, I went ahead & let them do the milk & sugar for me, as they seem to be accustomed. And what I got was just UNDRINKABLE: WAY too sweet, and with WAY too much milk. It is precisely this type of crap that makes Europeans ridicule American coffee so much. I understand now that what Dunkin' Donuts offers its customers is not coffee AT ALL, but rather an oversweetened milk drink with a hint of coffee flavor. Their "coffee" is not for coffee lovers at all, and if you are one, you are much better served to find an independently-owned café, or your nearest Starbucks. What a disappointment! I understand that Dunkin' Donuts is an institution on the East Coast, and is very successful. And to be fair, their donuts are good (way better than Krispy Kreme). But coffee is at least half of the equation, and what I had (both the end product, and the process of getting it) was completely unacceptable. While I was ordering a coffee my 5 year old asked to use the bathroom which was clearly visible but they refused to let her. She is five! They told me that 4 blocks up there is a food court she can use. Clearly they don't have children because 5 year olds don't realize they have to pee until its practically to late!
