Idk if they got new employees but I had a much better experience this time. I preordered my drink for the first time and when I got there, my drink was melted because I got caught up in traffic. I asked if they could remake it and they did!! I was so thankful for them and the great service! I tried the caramel creme frozen drink for the first time and it was created to beautifully. 12/11/21 Ever walk on to a building or a business and feel the ambience or energy levels of the place feel low and unwelcoming? This is the feeling I got upon waking into this Dunkin Dounuts....oh, I forgot, this business wishes to just be called Dunkin...Just like Boris wishes to be call Boris The Animal:) My wife saw that the employees did not seem to be getting along thus making one employee's job ev ed n harder. I did not get a feeling of this place being clean either. The codes to getting into the bathroom (in my case the mens) were not made easy by the guy telling me the code. He obviously was having a bad day. The men's bathroom was not as foul smelling like Gargamel taking a shit, but nasty all the same. Some people or person decided to blow their nose all over the wall and the booger snot chunks had obviously be left on the wall for a while. As a former schoolmate of mine like to say "That's just terrible." My favorite icecream was out from what I saw in the tub, but I was hoping there was more in the back. Nope. Luckily there Butterpecan was available. In case your wondering what my favorite flavor of icecream is, Vanilla Cookies &Cream. Yes, I had to add the Vanilla in front of the cookies and cream. Coffee and chocolate flavor or down right nasty. Added a little oreo to the butter pecan icecream with some caramel, and you have a delicious treat. I would come back to this place if I had to, but I am not sure their will be a need. I hope the ambience on this place changes; as well, as the immediate cleanliness of the bathrooms. This is a big wish/hope, but from the bad reviews on this place, this doesn't look like it's going to happen. read more

I'm in this area often and enjoy taking advantage of Dunkin's reward system through the app. I always order the Charli Cold Brew (so yummy!) and a plain, toasted, bagel with cream cheese but today, I wanted to switch it up and get a donut. It turns out they were out of donuts, but Marvin, the pleasant and helpful associate that helped me during my visit tonight was more than accommodating leaving me happy and satisfied with my experience. It is rare for me to come across a one star establishment, but unfortunately this Dunkin' in Potomac Yard Center has fully earned it. This location has been extremely slow on multiple visits recently. It never used to be this way, so it seems as though there as been a change that has caused this. Until they can get their efficiency back, I have gone back to visiting the other big coffee chain in this same shopping plaza. In general, Dunkin Donuts needs to get up to speed on their mobile ordering and making it advantageous for customers to use mobile. They are letting their main competitor get a competitive advantage in this area with concept stores that display when your order is ready. This location is sorely in need of a similar method of communication to let customers know when orders are ready and hopefully help with the timeliness of orders as well. read more

Where is the health inspector!? This place looked gross from the tables to the floors in the morning and it wasn't even busy. My croissant was dry and old. I will never visit this location again. My go to location is the small but clean location on Allentown rd. They can close this one. read more

Only giving 2 stars because of the young man working the counter was very polite and willing to help. The ladies behind the counter were talking and filling orders that came in after mine guess maybe they were regulars or something? I dunno but anyways on the review. As I watched others get served I was looking at the Ice cream case. Noticed there was rust on the silver part of the case above the ice cream! The fact that people are being served ice cream in that case is that is atrocious. So paid almost $5 for avocado toast. After biting into it i noticed the bread had not been toasted, and the taste of lemon tasted like they squirted lemon juice over avocado, there was also a puddle of lemon juice under the "toast" that must have leaked through, under the toast... was running late for work so couldn't go in to complain but NEVER again! Also word to the wise look at the Ice cream case carefully before ordering ice cream especially for the kids! read more

The service was slow and unhelpful. The open hours change on employee preference and are not standard. We went and the employee said she was tired and ready to close up for the night, even though the hours on the store were set for way longer. We then moved to the parking lot where we watched person after person come up and then walk away because it was "closed". read more

Could never really decide which is better. Starbucks or Dublin. Starbucks has its own good and bad things, and so does Dunkins. But when I feel like it is time for something sweet and not that healthy (lol) I know dunkins will be the one. And this one also has baskin so if you are into it know that you have that option. This is the most poorly managed Dunkin' I've ever been to. My Dunkin' app keeps acting up the last week or so, and the manager can see that I have a loyalty ID, did has not allowed me to get the $2 iced Coffee deal. This Dunkin is down the street from where I live, so I come in here pretty regularly. He knows that I have a loyalty ID, and I even showed him how I have one, but it wasn't working on my phone and he still charged me full price for a drink that I would not have ordered, which I told him, had that deal not been a thing. I paid as much for a shitty iced coffee as I would usually pay for an iced latte because he up charged me for a splash of almond milk that should not have been upcharged. This is not my first issue with the man managing the store, but it will certainly be my last. I felt awful for the guy who made the iced coffee because he was obviously so embarrassed by the manager. Advice to management: If there is a promotion that is advertised on your menu board, and a customer says they want to do the promo, honor it. Seems obvious, but apparently it isn't here. read more

The line moves as a speed previously known only to glaciers, the post office, or the DMV. You can't go wrong with their coffee and a pumpkin muffin but be prepared to wait, and wait.....and wait at this location. They also have DD lunch items and a Baskin Robbins here. read more

I've never gone to any DD with high expectations; it is what it is. This one does have nice staff though, and plenty of seating with an upstairs seating area. It's one of the few quick places for food in the Potomac Yards shopping center; prior to Chipotle being recently opened, Subway and Starbucks were it, and they are on a very far end of the shopping center. Breakfast is always good, and served all day. I eat a breakfast item here on weekends that I'm volunteering with the humane society at PetSmart. It's quick and a decent price. They're coffee/tea is fairly priced. Baskin Robins is attached, so for the rare occasions that you want to pile up the sweets, you can get donuts and a milkshake in one go! read more

First thing you notice is this place looks dirty. There were flies going around, and the glass display for the ice cream looks dirty. We ordered two drinks and several donuts. The guy serving us who looks in charge wasn't even wearing his mask properly, but wearing a chin diaper. Also looked irritated as well. My husband got a blended coffee which is his go to, but I wanted to try something fruity so I got the the strawberry coconut refresher. It was overpoweringly sweet, very undrinkable! This is the worst Dunkin' Donuts in the whole city. They never have any donuts and have no plans to make anymore. The last three times I've come here with my two kids. They refuse to make any hot food items, have no intention of making more donuts, and today they didn't even have chocolate or vanilla ice cream. The staff is rude and makes no apologies to the fact that they have barely any food to serve. I've given them multiple chances but won't be coming back here ever again. Be prepared to blow 30 minutes here, at least. Somehow they are ALWAYS behind on food orders. We live very close so this is not a one off. Most inefficient service out there. Why is it you have to stand in line to get ice cream and then get in another line to pay for it? By the time you reach the register to pay, your ice cream is completely melted or you have to eat it all!!! Shore was dirty and was sold out of many popular items. Also staff had chin diapers on instead of masks. Would not recommend.

It's located in a convenient spot, but that's the only thing convenient about it. They will mess up your order about 1 out of 3 times, so always check your food before you leave. Also, if you order your food on their app, it will take them the longest to get your donuts. Yes, the easiest thing is the most difficult for them to remember or to get. read more

I absolutely love the second level to this DD location. You have a bit of privacy to chill out and lounge, in addition to getting in plenty of phone calls while you munch on your croissant and expresso. The leather chairs on the downstairs level are quite comfortable as well. Don't be surprised if you pass out in one of them. If I have one complaint, its that the DD employees turn the heat up to 90 degrees. Seriously guys? If I wanted to enjoy my snack and drink in hot conditions, I would sit outside in 95 degree weather. C'mon now! The older female employee (she is hilarious, FYI) even said as much to the other employees to turn the heat off. I dunno. One of those things, I presume. I used to love Dunkin' but this location has ruined it for me! The last time i went it was slightly busy but my food came out quickly. I just had to wait for my hot coffee, nothing special. It had been 20 mins and my food got cold, when i asked a woman about the status of my drink she blatantly said to me "yeah well i don't make the drinks" then walked away from me. I waited a little while longer and went to the cashier about the issue. He offered to have my food remade but turns out they forgot about my coffee order. This time i went which is a couple weeks later, i just got a sandwhich. I ordered ahead of time on mobile. It wasn't ready when i got there which isn't an issue but every number was getting called but mine. The first time i inquired about it a few minutes after i got there and they said it was still being made. So i waited a little longer. More orders were being called out except mine. It was 25 mins since i ordered so i asked again as there were no other customers waiting but me. And turns out the same woman who was rude to me a couple weeks ago brought my food order but didn't call out the name or order number and let it sit there. And the guy i had asked it about just said "here" and walked away. No explanation or apology. Also, this location is almost always dirty, napkins and trash all over the floor and counters. I don't have a particularly major issue with it but it should be mentioned as the service is also trash. read more

I've been to this Dunkin' Donuts on many occasions. Originally, I went for a couple of board game nights here, but the group stopped coming here because the organizer of the group complained about the women's bathroom being dirty and that they didn't do anything. From my prospective, the men's room was fine. Starting in April, I came here a lot more because I obtained a punch card with free coffee for a year from a location in Bethesda for their Cordell Ave location grand opening. Since the Potomac Yard location was close to home, this was by far my most common location. The staff was always friendly, but some of them seemed a little confused by my punch card including the manager, but they never gave me any real trouble. Generally, I just got my free iced coffee, but occasionally I would get a breakfast item or donut in addition to the iced coffee. Unfortunately, I moved away from Del Ray and now live in Arlington. So, I have a new Dunkin Donuts even closer to home. However, this one is not as good, but I will not be writing a negative (or possibly a positive) review yet...as the jury is still out on the Columbia Pike near Route 7 location. read more

This is one of those combo concepts, where they have the regular Dunkin Donuts, a Dunkin Deli and a Baskin Robbins all wrapped into one. In other words, you never really have to leave! The staff is very friendly and attentive, the food prep turnaround time is quicker than your average Dunkin Deli, and the restaurant is very open and airy (thanks to the second floor of seating). Easy access parking also makes this a super easy stop for those of us on the go in the morning! The only drawbacks are very minor ones. I noticed that not everyone knows where to order when they walk in, since there are four different register areas in three different directions. Also, the bathroom seems to be somewhat hard to find for some people.
