Ordered a dozen specialty donuts for coworkers this morning. I had one of them pick them up. I was told that he woman at the counter went in the back to get them. When I went to get a donut, it was dry and old. I tried another and had coworkers try the various donuts. All of them old and stale!!! Not like day old but at least a couple days old. They should never have been sold. Im sure that the woman knew this before packing and selling them. Check your order before leaving the store. Not cool at all.. read more

Krispy Kreme - Stale Donuts dozen from Krispy Kreme in Alexandria, Virginia, sold on June 3, 2026, around 7:45 am ET. - Donuts Near Me - Alexandria, Virginia

Got the Pokemon donuts today. They were delicious, and the kids loved them! I took one star off because there were signs that said the sit down area was closed, but didn't say that the location is currently drive through only. A lot of people, including me parked and tried to pick up our orders at the door. Instead, we had to get back in our cars and sit in a long drive-thru line. Once I got to the place where you place your order, they told me to drive up to the front door anyway, which is where I started 20 minutes earlier. The setup also assumes that everyone has a car and disadvantages people who walk or bike. At minimum, I would say that management should post signs saying that the location is drive-thru only. read more

Let me start off by saying nothing beats a hot fresh glazed doughnut. It's 6:30 in the morning on a Sunday along with a large coffee. When I parked and walked in, I was cheerfully greeted by several staff members which is refreshing and I was handed a bag with a fresh doughnut in it, which was absolutely killer As you can see, they have all kinds of options for their donuts. Some of them have a small up charge to them, which was fine. The place was clean with plenty of seating, but what is key is the staff members? They were just simply outstanding. If you're staying at a cheap hotel in the area and don't want to eat their breakfast just drive up over the hill to Krispy Kreme and you'll be happy read more

I had dropped in for alittle while with a friend to charge my phone while enjoying a cup of coffee. 1st thing I had noticed was the friendliness that the staff had shown each other while behind the counter as they appeared to all be having a good day. I had asked for the coffee to counteract a Red bull that made me feel alittle wired earlier within the day, and was greeted by a Young male I believe his name was "Kenny" after only after having a pleasant conversation with said employee I then found out that he was tge store Manager. 1 thing I will say about the crew that was working that night, You can't get more friendlier Customer Service than that, everyone was enjoying themselves while still going above and beyond fir their customers. I am glad that I came in that night as the staff was a great service to us both and are a (Must have) for any industry. Keep up the outstanding service to your customers as it's a Rare sight to see nowadays. James Robins read more

The Service was disappointing they claimed that the donuts were not being baked fresj when outside the red light was on.

Make sure you go when the HotLight sign is on, so that way, you can get the freshly-glazed donuts, right off the belt. The donuts can be delicious; sometimes, it can taste a little 'eggy', and not sure if that depends on how fresh it is. Drive-thru is super efficient and speedy, and there's spots available to park. Krispy Kreme doughnuts as a youtuber I watched recently said "A piece of heaven." I'm a semi-regular customer to this location and am giving 4 stars to the _location_ for 2 reasons. 1. Multiple times they have been out of the specialty doughnuts I specifically came in to order. It is up to the individual restaurant to balance stock with demand and I do not feel they are the best at it. 2. The last time I went I got a dozen doughnuts and they gave me 11. I just trusted them as I have every other time. They don't open the box to check anything on checkout and it's not easy to see when they are filling you up (which can be a plus, I suppose, you could outright lie about what you got :P). So if you care, check. I do like the fact there's a drive through...like a lot of places they give it slightly more attention than the line but I don't hold that against them. Service is usually pretty fast regardless. Most people know what they want and want to get out of there (like me). Can't blame tourists or unprepared for looking at a menu. Need to be going south down Rt. 1 to access via car the easiest. When coming from the other way, I often park and walk over past a couple of the other local joints. I've never eaten in and am always surprised people are. Atmosphere reminds me of a diner, lots of silver, hard objects, round corners. Bathrooms were clean anytime I have used them. Local coupons are frequently sent. read more

Krispy Kreme is just freaking delicious--plain and simple. That hot light comes on, and it's game over. The original glazed will forever be my go-to: soft, warm, and melt-in-your-mouth perfect. No matter how many new donut spots pop up, Krispy Kreme will always have my heart (and my sweet tooth). read more

The trek was well worth the prize. Almost all of the Krispy Kremes in MD are either now only serving as distribution centers for commercial production or have closed down. This location is stellar and has remained consistent with the quality we expect after all these years. The service was quick and they keep the hot donuts light on with a conveyor belt of deliciousness in full sight. read more

Krispy Kreme - Classic Assorted Dozen - Donuts Near Me - Alexandria, Virginia

This place and I mean this location never disappoints! What can I say that hasn't been said about this gem. It is the original, longest standing KK that I can remember as far back as when I came to DC for college! The consistency and taste of the donuts from this location is unmatched, compared to the newer ones around the DMW....imho. The OG - Original Glazed is the only way to for me. They are so light and fluffy....:and sweet on the tongue. They must be made of air, from the flutter of angel wings. Hot and fresh, melt in your mouth good. I swear my mouth is salivating just from writing this review and thinking about them. lol This location has many other varieties of doughnuts. From Apple fritters, jelly donuts, chocolate glazed and many others. The also have seasonal and holiday offerings which I have found can be a hit or miss. BUTTTT....I must say the Red Velvet and Cake Batter donuts I had the last time there were the bomb!! Someone's Grandma must have put her foot all up in the batter!! They were that good and so moist-distinct in flavor. Definitely will be putting these two on repeat, when I am looking for something other than my favorite --the OG. In all, great location and the staff are very friendly here. There really isn't anything like fresh hot off the rollers Krispy Kreme. I live in the city, but would travel to this location in the burbs for sure just to get my hands on some really good OG! Not to mention that hot time is lethal. I've been in this area many times running errands with no thought of going to KK, but that "HOT" sign will get you every time. It will make you bust a U-turn across three lanes of traffic on Route 1 just to get a taste. Not the healthiest choice, but "the best" choice and reward when looking to treat yourself! Needless to say, clearly from this review, I recommend on repeat. There isn't enough stars to give this place a proper rating. Just go there, if you see me in line say....Hi! : -) *ELITE TIP: Download the app! Always some great deals, discounts and coupons for use during your visit. And, yes, before you ask....Proudly and admittedly, I have the KK app on my phone. lol read more

I paid for 12 donuts and they gave me 9. The service was fine although the employee didn't understand much English.

Krispy Kreme never misses--especially when the "Hot Light" is on. I stopped in recently and the warm, fresh doughnuts were next-level delicious. Soft, airy, and coated in that signature glaze that melts the moment it hits your tongue... it's an experience all on its own. There's nothing quite like biting into a warm Krispy Kreme doughnut straight off the line. The flavor, the texture, the sweetness--it's perfection every single time. The staff was friendly and quick, and the whole visit felt easy and enjoyable. If you want a treat that instantly lifts your mood, warm Krispy Kreme doughnuts are unmatched. Highly recommend stopping by when they're fresh out of the oven. read more

Right after Dinner we stopped here!!! 9-21-24 , it didn't matter what donut I got this location has sooo many flavors!!..We tried selections from the New Harvest Collection; MAPLE Buttercream,Oatmeal Kreme Pie, Salted Caramel Cheesecake,Spiced Apple Filled. The Standouts were the Oatmeal Kreme Pie/Salted Caramel cheesecake, spiced apple filled all VERY GOOD. I loved the oatmeal Kreme pie so much I got 2 & so did my brother! . The customer service was good all the way through, sitting in the Drive-Thru we watched how crazy these birds were for donuts some grabbing huge pieces or stealing from another bird & flying away it was a flock about. The ambiance tho was packed but cleaned . Definitely coming back for me to try the salted caramel cheesecake read more

Yes, the doughnuts ARE the best EVER, anyWHERE, anyTIME, But even so, the REAL star of the Alexandria Krispy Kreme is Ms. Pam Edwards. Do yourself a favor: ASK if she is there, and say hi to her - if you do, I guarantee you will smile for the rest of the day! What a wonderful woman! read more

Food - 5/5 Although the doughnuts weren't off the belt, they were still soft and fresh. They still have the promotional deal where if you have A's on your report card, they'll give x amount of doughnuts. My niece had all A's so she was excited for this treat. I believe the max is 6 since that was the amount of a full small box. Service - 3/5 Not sure if it was just me but the lady who was packing our doughnuts was giving off an attitude. When we were picking the assorted doughnuts we had 4 already and we're picking the last 2 but when we did she questioned us again and made it seem like we didn't know how to count. read more

Tell me why that glowing "HOT" sign outside of the Krispy Kreme is soooo enticing?! Because everyone knows, fresh donuts are worth the hype! Krispy Kreme is always a family outing and I loveeee to see families here. It's nice to know that there's somewhere the whole fam can come to enjoy tasty treats together and spend some quality time. This place holds a special place in my heart; I've been coming here since I was a kid. Their seasonal donuts are always delicious. I just tried the Cinnamon Toast Crunch flavors, and the cream cheese one was my favorite! If you haven't tried them yet, I would recommend stopping by ASAP. Try the Dulce De Leche and/or the Cinnamon Milk Glazed flavors! Hot/Iced coffee drinks go perfectly with the donuts. Service has always been great here. Krispy Kreme ftw! read more

Very nice staff, working Very hard to please. The app has not worked for about a year and no way to spend funds on it. It's been a while apparently the staff told me. So I drove from DC to this Krispy Kreme because they recently closed the one I went to in MD. I was in traffic for 40 minutes!!!! I ordered and got home and my order was incorrect and most of the doughnuts were not filled with cream!! I ordered like one of everything off the new menu and got three Biscoff and three NY cheesecakes. Three had with no filling and two with a dot of filling. How is that possible?!? I will never go back and I wasted $18 on these doughnuts only for me to throw all of them away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not sure what's going on with Krispy Kreme but I will never visit another one. Krispy Kreme take my advice and go a head and close this one too. It sucks!!!!!!!! They stole $18 dollars from me!!! read more

If you've never tried a hot original Krispy Kreme, get on your phone and download the app NOW! It will be pure yummy for your tummy!! Let me start by saying that is my preferred time to enjoy a Krispy Kreme. I simply open the app and check the locations for the "Hot Sign" indicator or times. With all the COVID-19 restrictions, grabbing a hot donut allows some sense of (new) normalcy. There can be different offerings depending on the location you visit (some offer cinnamon buns on Sunday, others may not). Either way Krispy Kreme is a place where you will not be surprised at what your original glazed may taste like. They are consistent in this manner and that matters a ton! read more

Krispy Kreme is Krispy Kreme. And this location is as good as any. We stopped here over St. Patrick's Day weekend and treated ourselves to a green glazed donut with chocolate icing. Although it was green, it was only food coloring - it tasted like a regular Krispy Kreme, thank goodness. The folks are friendly, and the inside is spacious enough for racks of merch (hats, coffee mugs, etc.) to go along with your donuts. If you have a sweet tooth, look out for the neon sign and stop in for some sweetness! read more

Krispy Kreme is definitely the Sugar fix you need to add to your day. Try to get the fresh/hot. I always have issues with trying to follow their hot light hours and they honestly do whatever the hell they want. I used to live right up the road in Beacon Hill so it was a relatively easy walk over to get a dozen or so. I highly recommend you sign up for the rewards program so you can capitalize on free dozens etc. Or you know, just work there or have a buddy that can and will give you unlimited donuts But seriously what the hell are you doing looking at a Yelp review for a Corporate Dessert Place? I'm always blown away by the deliciousness of the original glazed doughnuts. The exterior is perfectly crispy and the interior is soft and fluffy. When fresh, the doughnuts melt in your mouth. The glaze is just the right amount of sweetness. If you want doughnuts other than the original glazed, they are available and good. Coffee drinks and branded items are also available. I also appreciate the friendly and efficient service at the store. The staff members are fast and happy to help. The store is spacious and clean. read more

This place makes me so happy. At the entrance there is a huge window that you can watch donuts being made from. The line can get a little long and backed up if there is only one cashier as they are making drinks on top of checking customers out. No matter though as a fresh and hot glazed donut will make up for pretty any shortcoming. With your covid vaccination card, you get a free donut. read more

I've been wanting some donuts for minute so why not venture to Krispy Kreme since I'm in Alexandria Virginia We go through the drive-through it was quick it was easy but they don't have the donut that I want I want - chocolate iced I have a coupon one dozen for $6.99 - it was a special that was being run this particular weekend AND I have my mouth set on those chocolate iced donuts No haps! I'm not understanding why they don't have chocolate iced when the store is going to be open for at least another hour and 45 minutes or so - so why don't they have the donuts that I want? They didn't have double chocolate either BUT they DID have chocolate iced with sprinkles. No thanks! I get home I check my donuts and find that I was given the ugliest donuts that were probably in the store They must have run out of boxes because we had to get two boxes instead of one not a good night for Krispy Kreme in Alexandria Virginia I guess next time I'll wait till I go across the bridge closer to home and go to the one that's closest to my house in PG county, Maryland - where by the way I never have issues with getting ugly donuts read more

Has anyone else had the experience where you order for delivery on the website and they sneak in extra charges between when you order and when you pay. I'm not taking about the delivery charge or the service change or the tip. I'm talking about the cost of the item. When I select it it's 16.99, but then it becomes 21.99 out of nowhere after I add Credit card information. I thought it was a one time website mistake the first time, but when it happened again, it just seems sneaky. As for the donuts, my whole family loves them and the delivery is easy and convenient. They come fresh and on time! read more
