This review is solely based on the service here. I've been here a few times and there seems to always be only one person working. There's a young man who who works here who is great as well. Today, I've been in Dunkin for over 35 minutes. The young lady working here, Jennifer, is working alone and she is hustling! I've been here for a while now as there have been at least 25 people in the store and she's doing it all alone. She's nothing short of kind and I can't guarantee we'd all be like this if we were in this position. Get this women some help! And a raise! read more

I'm so upset I wasted time going here. The service was so upsetting. The person at the counter clearly could not be bothered with this job at all. After waiting for my food for a while, I end up with "avocado toast". After being given multiple bags for my items instead of 1 large bag, I was told I could have a large bag for 5 cents. They don't have donuts. And they just smirk at you when you ask why. This is probably the laziest business I have ever been inside. The employees are absolute garbage. They have no donuts available. It amazes me that Dunkin lets this franchise operate. I believe whoever owns this location also owned the location on king street in Old Town. That location went out of business for being absolutely atrocious and it appears they also will be going out of business at this location and deservedly so. Ok, my second experience here not so good. My sandwich was burnt and I was to happy! I sent an email to corporate and received an immediate response. The owner and manager reached out and both apologized for the bad service. I was given a replacement meal which I appreciated. I went there yesterday and was happy I gave them another try. Everybody has an off day and they made up for it with a perfectly made sandwich and the doughnuts were the freshest I've had from any Dunkin Doughnuts in a while. I would give this location zero stars if I could. Every single time I order from this place, there is an issue. They never have things in stock, they will leave things off your order because they don't have it and not even tell you! The employees truly couldn't care any less and the customer service is subpar. There's no reason I should receive more REFUNDS from an establishment than I have received correct orders. Don't go here for anything but a donut. Regardless of what I order at this Dunkin' they only serve disappointment. I placed an order to go, and didn't realize how terrible my order was until I was already home. Today in particular, they were out of bagels AND Texas toast, all before 10am on Monday morning. The breakfast sandwich I ordered was different temperatures depending on which part of the sandwich I was on. And The coffee (if you can call it that) was actually just lukewarm water with some sugar and creamer. I dumped the 'coffee' at home, that's how bad it was. This doesn't even deserve 1 star. I didn't actually end up spending my money here. I walked in, no one spoke. I said good morning to the cashier, a Black girl with locs or twists in her hair that had opened the store at 5am.. she did not speak back. So I said good morning again & she gave me the peace sign.. still no words. To me that is both rude & unprofessional. She still never offered to take my order or anything. But at this point it no longer mattered. My coworker and I both left the store and went to Starbucks where we were greeted and treated properly. This is my third time here. Yesterday I asked for a large regular black coffee. By the time I got back to my desk, I had a large latte with sweetener. I wish I would've looked under the lid before I left. Not exactly what I asked for nor did I want it. Today I ordered a large regular black coffee and asked for a blueberry doughnut to be warmed. I kept waiting and waiting and waiting. Finally asked "do I pick up my doughnut on this side of the counter or the other side the counter?" The guy who took my order completely forgot about the doughnut. Then he goes to ask another guy to warm the doughnut in the oven and they looked perplexed. They put my donut on a pan with some old hashbrowns...... They left it in there for a little while, got it out and three people touched my doughnut to try and figure out what is it warm or not. Yes they all had on gloves but the problem is three different hands touched one donut to see if it was warm. So you all haven't figured out the art of warming up a donut yet, I see. They don't have hazelnut anymore! But regardless, I settled for French vanilla flavor and it was pretty good. Except for a piece of hair that was on my lid. I should have said something but the two ladies at the front, they were very unfriendly. Didn't have a hat on or hairnets and kind of just look at you like you have no business coming in. I gave the girl my order, she did her thing on the register, didn't say anything and I tapped my card to pay and wasn't even given a receipt. She kinda just stepped back and leaned against the wall. I got the worst service that I'd received from any establishment in ages. When I paid for my coffee, they promptly forgot about me. When I waited for ages and then went to remind them that I was waiting for my coffee, they snatched the receipt from me so that I couldn't take advantage of the offer printed on it. ETA: I now see that they're a Yelp advertiser. Maybe they should put those resources into improving customer service instead. read more

This Dunkin Donuts is NASTY! They will not even take the time to wipe the tables off or sweep the floors. We went at different times 6 am and 3 pm... both times it was dirty. They never cleaned from 6 am therefore when they closed no one had time to wipe off the tables or sweep the floor. Cleaning is a minimum requirement... this Dunkin Donuts should make it a requirement as well. They should have a cleaning checklist/schedule where they clean on an hourly basis. read more

Worst DD ever. The guy taking orders kept messing up what he put in the computer and had to yell out changes to the other employees. Constantly. The hot coffee was closer to hot water. Complained and got a new cup from a "fresh batch", but it was exactly the same. The iced coffee with cream and sugar tasted like, you guessed it, just cream and sugar. Got a breakfast sandwich and the eggs were cold. Disgusting!! We went here because it was right across from our hotel. Don't make the same mistake we did... There's other options nearby. read more

I regularly go to this location because it's next door to my office. The only issue I have is that they are occasionally out of things, especially if you don't get there by 9 AM. Bless. This DD just can't quite get it right. The establishment is clean and nice, but there is a worker who just doesn't seem to know how to make a good cup of coffee. One of the worst Dunkin' Donuts I have ever been to, with a very incompetent staff. Constant messed up drink orders, Constant inventory issues, Stale Donuts, Burnt Microwaved Sandwiches. If you have dietary concerns, lactose intolerant or diabetic be careful as they will probably mess up your order. If you are okay with a high probability of messed up orders, its at least one of the cheaper consistent mediocre coffee in the area among the various other mediocre establishments in the immediate Carlyle area. read more

Why don't you have sugar packets out? You have to ask at the counter for a packet of sugar. That's ridiculous for a coffee shop. They have the little station out for them, but only have straws in them. This location is also very stingy on ice. I'll admit, I'm from the south and we don't really do Dunkin. So when I moved to the DMV area, I just figured I'd have to get used to it. This location, however, isn't worth getting used to. One person runs it in the morning when it's busiest, while another person mops all morning. Also, if you're a milk-with-your-donuts kinda person, they don't have milk. And why should they? Granted when I go to a Dunkin Donuts I don't expect much, but I do expect a consistent mediocre experience across the chain, and they fail to deliver even on that. Last time I was there, I got a chicken sandwich that was still frozen in the middle when it was served! And they frequently just get the orders wrong. Wrong donuts, wrong sandwich, drinks made incorrectly. And the person who is handing off the drinks at the end gets annoyed when you ask him to repeat what he called because he mumbles it from behind a machine. This place puts out the best coffee in Alexandria. I go there 4 times a week, and they don't fail. They open real early, and am always ready for those who straggle in to the Patent Office which is right next door. The workers there are great. I went in here for my morning coffee, which shouldn't take any longer than 5 minutes. However, they had me waiting for about 15 minutes. In those 15 minutes, I noticed they were preparing food and putting a dirty bag on the same counter. Also the first time my coffee came out, it tasted very odd. Another person complained as well, and after the employee tasted it, they had to create an entirely new batch of iced coffee. After making the new batch, and me already waiting about 15 minutes they gave me my coffee, which was about 85% cream and 15% coffee. I didn't want to waste any more of my time so I took the coffee and left. read more

We have used the Dulany Street DD for several large 8:30 AM meetings -- 132 donuts and 36 bagels. They have consistently provided timely, free delivery, fresh and tasty donuts and bagels, and excellent service. Everyone has been friendly and every order has been perfect. read more
