Also, when we arrived here most all the outdoor tables for the surrounding restaurants were full, while the tables at Craft were empty for the most part. This Craft location isn't large - the interior of the restaurant is especially small with just a walk-up counter and a few smaller tables. Most of their seating is on the patio area in front of the entrance, and they were happy to move a few tables together to accommodate our group of 6. We each ordered a cocktail to start, which were well-made, and then we ordered our main courses. Those who got pizzas said they were really good. I had the milanesa caprese and it was also good, though the caesar salad I ordered for my side had large chunks of both tomato and bacon, and the white dressing definitely wasn't caeser and was relatively flavorless. While I'd give our overall experience on that night 4 stars and I'd note that service was attentive throughout our time here, there are other restaurants I'd likely patronize both in this plaza and the few adjacent ones before I'd consider returning to Craft for dinner. That said, I'd definitely come here as a solid spot for breakfast or a quick lunch.

A great 3 course meal at almost half the price and to top it off the '50% off Tuesday' special on the fabulous wine selections. My burrata and my husband's Ceviche = fabulous and generous. All 3 of us ordered NY Steak, again spot on - cooked as ordered, and a generous portion, and flavorful. I rarely order mashed potatoes and not only did I eat mine I had to help my aunt with hers too! We usually hit a few brunch buffets per year on average; In my opinion, the offering at Lightkeepers is simply not worth the cost vs. brunch experiences we've had at other Miami area restaurants. We arrived and were seated right away on the outdoor patio and this area was dog friendly with a few patrons there with their furry companions. The server was friendly and outgoing throughout our time here and asked if we were interested in brunch. She listed off the usual, standard brunch drink options, but there was nothing terribly unique or creative about any of them. The one interesting thing is that they had carafes and dispensers of most of the brunch drinks at the end of the buffet line, so I guess if your server wasn't bringing them fast enough, you could go and get your own. One nearby table paid their tab and cashed out following their meal, but continued going back to those dispensers to serve themselves additional beverages before leaving. The buffet itself was solid, featuring most of the usual American-fare items one might expect and the amount of options and presentation was good, but really wasn't anything highly impressive or noteworthy, especially considering the pricepoint - which was $373 with included service charge and tax for 2 people. For brunch, I think I prefer the following: Prime Fish - Nearly the same unlimited food and beverage selections as Lightkeepers in a beautiful setting, but about 1/2 the price. Quinto in Brickell - Cheaper, also unlimited food and drink (though not buffet-style), with many more unique and creative bottomless drinks available vs. Lightkeepers. LaMar - Costs nearly as much as Lightkeepers, but more creative food options, incredible presentation, many more creative drinks vs. Lightkeepers and one can also request nearly anything they wish from the bar for the 2 hour bottomless time period.

Very Disappointed. We ate at The Ritz Carlton beach side restaurant called The Dunes. It has a nice, outdoor, relaxed atmosphere with a great bar. Unfortunately, I ate one of their thick turkey burgers there. As they say "the rest is history!" Starting that night, I had all of the signs of food poising: "Symptoms from the most common types of food poisoning will often start within 2 - 6 hours of eating the food. That time may be longer or shorter, depending on the cause of the food poisoning. Possible food poising symptoms include abdominal cramps, diarrhea, fever and chills headache, nausea, vomiting and weakness." I was stuck in my hotel room for the rest of my trip (2 more nights); Though, my family was still able to enjoy themselves outside of the room. While I was sick, I told The Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne front desk, concierge and loss prevention about this issue. They sent me complimentary spa products and refunded my lunch. When I returned home, I was contacted by The Marriott Insurance Company (as The Ritz Carlton is an entity of the Marriott International Company). I told them my story and merely requested being refunded for 2 of my 4 nights there. Instead of one ounce of sympathy, The Marriot's insurance company was nothing but rude and denying any responsibility for what happened. The Marriott insurance company adamant that if I ate off of the property with in 72 hours prior to getting sick then the probability of it being from the hotel are much lower. This is not true at all. I had dinner at a restaurant at 6pm on Thursday. Friday at lunch time I ate the turkey burger. I was sick around dinner time that night. Between the time I was sick and the last time I ate off property was 24 hours; Therefore, the probability of being sick due to something I ate at the hotel is in fact HIGHER. Also, she mentioned that because other people in the restaurant didn't get sick from eating the turkey burger, then (again), the probability of the cause of my illness being from the hotel are much lower. That being said, it doesn't matter if 100 other people ate the turkey burger. It only takes one undercooked burger to make someone ill. Last, the insurance company mentioned that because I thought the turkey burger might be undercooked, that it was basically my fault (not in so many words). I am not a chef and I assumed that the turkey burger must be ok to eat and that I wouldn't have to send it back as I trust the Ritz and the chefs that work there that the food I eat at their property is cooked well enough to eat. The insurance company was prepared to "combat" any answer I had to the questions that they asked me. There has since been no resolution to this issue. read more
