Absolutely horrendous service! We waited 20 minutes just to get menus and water, another 20 minutes to place an order (only to THEN first be told that two of the three dishes we wanted weren't available, then another half hour before we finally went to ask when our food would be coming (answer: "two minutes"), then ANOTHER fifteen minutes before we finally were served COLD and GRISTLY food. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! read more

Very basic limited menu. I wouldn't even call this a restaurant, more like a cafe. It is not a destination, meaning unless you live in the building, outside of convenience there's no reason to dine here. We sat next to some new friends who knew the lay of the land at Arlen and were able to grab lunch for a picnic on the beach. We got the Cuban which was absolutely delicious and a couple of sides. Had we known, we would have absolutely eaten breakfast in the cute restaurant as well. This is a great perk at the Arlen especially once the pool opens! read more

What a pleasant surprise! I live across the street from the Arlen Beach Restaurant and haven't been there since the new owners took over about five months ago. I had no idea what I was missing. A caring owner, great FRESHLY PREPARED food and prices that will not rock you like so many places on the Beach. I have found a new dining option and will work my way down the menu over time. Today I had an orange salad with blackened chicken and it was delicious. I walked over, but if you drive they have valet parking. Looking forward to my next visit! read more

However, when the bill arrived, we were informed that the manager had already left and the discount could no longer be honored. Instead, we were given only the $4 happy hour discount, despite being promised otherwise. For our entrées, we ordered the brisket sandwich and the half chicken. Neither was worth ordering. The chicken lacked the crispy texture it was advertised to have, and the brisket was bland and without flavor. The sandwich was also supposed to come with truffle fries, but instead we were served cold, plain fries. After mentioning it, the solution was to bring us a side of truffle oil and Parmesan cheese and ask us to mix it ourselves. The service was equally disappointing. We asked our server twice for drink refills, but she never brought them. We eventually had to flag down another server just to get our beverages refilled. Overall, this was a frustrating dining experience from start to finish. Between the poor-quality food, unfulfilled promises regarding the bill, and inattentive service, this restaurant fell well below the standard I would expect from a Miami establishment. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves one. I sincerely hope management addresses these issues because the current level of food quality and customer service is simply unacceptable. and quality is embarrassing for miami.

Stick with other non traditional places along Collins and Washington and you should be fine.

What a wonderful new restaurant! My wife and I had dinner, lunch and breakfast over the course of two days. Each meal was wonderful. For dinner we had delicious grilled mahi, and delicious grilled salmon. so fresh it tasted as if it came rught out of the ocean. for lunch I had a fantastic Cuban sandwich which was done to perfection and could have fed both of us and my wife had the best lechon asado sand which she ever had. Flavorful, tender and cooked perfectly on delicious Cuban roll/bread. And finally today we had a great breakfast of scrambled eggs and bacon, and ham and eggs with hash browns both accompanied by toast and coffee. The service is phenomenal and the prices are very reasonable. I wish the new proprietors all the luck in the world and can't wait to return on my next visit to Miami Beach!! read more
