Not a bad cafe located in Miami, Beach! The first thing you notice when you walk in is that there is a scent of stale incense. A bit musty but not bad. We ordered two coffees; Dulce de leche iced latte with included cold foam and a pistachio iced latte (Dulce de leche was better!) For food we both got a breakfast sandwich with no bacon(cross-contamination for gluten) and the gluten free bread. I am celiac (gluten free)This was very tasty and would have again! My barber put me onto Sunnyside Café, and I'm thankful he did! After a fresh cut, I decided to walk over and grab breakfast. It was a cold morning (rare for Miami Beach), but even with the chill, I chose to sit outside since the inside was packed -- always a good sign. I ordered the eggs, potatoes, and turkey sausage, plus an extra side of eggs and more turkey sausage because, why not? Everything was cooked perfectly -- hearty, flavorful, and served hot. This place was so accommodating when it came to finding us a table for 6 people in their outdoor patio. I am very grateful for that. I could see they would move the tables were others as well. Came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. the whole vibe is chic boho and Instagram worthy. Everyone one's food that was coming out looked picture perfect. I got the carbonara omelette with a side of diced potatoes and the egg was incredibly fluffy, while the potatoes were the perfect mix of soft and crispy. I also tried my man's Carnitas Benedict, which had spicy mayo and pickled onions that added a really nice kick. We had mimosas too, from the pulp, I think maybe they use real orange juice, but the color was a bit neon which threw me off a little. We found a new breakfast and brunch place on Monday that we are crazy about! It is in South Beach off the main path at 4th and Jefferson. The location makes it easy to get to, and there is available parking at Sunnyside as well as on the street. The vibe at Sunnyside has good energy, and immediately, we were feeling good! Like a lot of places, it has an 18% automatic gratuity. Their menu consists of creative spin on the brunch staples. I enjoyed their Prosciutto Benedict. Instead of the regular Canadian bacon, this one had a lightly salty prosciutto, which blended nicely with the pesto on fluffy focaccia. The hollandaise was appropriately runny & eggs fluffy. Mixed with the hollandaise, the potatoes were actually tasty. For dessert, I enjoyed their fruit and mojito waffle. You don't really taste the rum, as it's more like a reduction with the flambeed bananas & fresh berries. The waffle was sizeable, and like my main course, decorated with a flower. The food we did have was as good and well made just wasn't knock your socks good as for the Bloody Mary I wouldn't bother definitely not their forté, stick to the coffee and perhaps juices!
