Some time ago while having a beach day as we were very close to the Faena Hotel we decided to go for lunch @ Veranda restaurant @ Faena, I really love Faena, all places look great and normally food is good, expensive but it used to be in range to the other expensive places in SOBE. Wow I have to say that pricing has become crazy. We shared one beet salad, we ordered fried fish & calamari which we had to send back as not good, they took it this off our bill so good for them, two glasses of wine and we paid almost $ 90 so practically half salad and a glass of wine came to about $ 45. I know we are in Miami Beach as I live here but this is becoming ridiculous, it is sad to see these kind of prices, especially for a causal lunch while having a beach day. I normally support our restaurants but it is really becoming ridiculous

This has to be the best Eggs Benedict I've had. Also featured is their Key Lime French Toast.. which was so delish!

Went to Veranda unplanned after visiting the Art Display on the beach Food was so good! Prices were a little expensive but it's to be expected. I just don't understand all of the service fees charged. Truly outrageous to charge so many fees.

From the moment I stepped in Faena hotel, sat down at Veranda, to enjoying my breakfast and paid the bill, I felt 5 star service. The dining room at Veranda is gorgeous overlooking their pool. I decided to try smoked salmon tater tots with regular coffee. I enjoyed both very much. I will want to be back again!

We went again for breakfast, and this time we had a strawberry mascarpone filled croissant. It was the best croissant I've ever had in my life. Light sweet and savory. Amazing. I also tasted the French toast which was fabulous, which good lime flavor. This place is spectacular. The only disappointment is that the dining room was closed for a special event and they seated people in the Tree of Life area which is not a spectacular. And I found the service not as good. It took forever to get the bill.

We came here for breakfast, we were not hotel guests, upon reading the reviews. We knew it was going to be pricey, but after the sad dinner experience a few blocks away, we wanted some quality food and service. The lobby of this hotel is amazing, the outside grounds and decor are luxurious, elegant, and well maintained. The service was on point with the expectation, the food didn't disappoint in quality and presentation. I had an oatmeal (I know, rather plain, but I am on a diet) and hubby had the acai bowl. His bowl was so vibrant with tropical colors and flavors. Our waiter was very attentive and kept coming back with coffee. As we were leaving, one of the cooks had finished placing the lunch meat and veggies on a carousel of sorts, it was amazing and unique. Definitelty an experience worth the price.

Such an amazing service and food. For birthday breakfast, ordered the lobster Benedict and my hubby had the Huevos Rancheros. The restaurant is located at the back hotel and dining is outdoors. Still was such a lovely morning and good day

Exceptional service. Delicious food. Wonderful ambiance. My family and I came here after enjoying a beautiful sunrise walk. The hotel itself is so gorgeous. The gilded mammoth sculpture near the pool is breathtaking. We ordered the following dishes: 1) Avocado toast: the Hollandaise sauce is wonderfully seasoned. Eggs were poached to perfection. 2) Key Lime French Toast: this is a MUST for breakfast. You would be doing yourself a disservice by skipping out on key lime while in Miami! I loved the pairing of the crunchy crusted flakes with the key lime filling. We ordered 2 additional entrees to go after trying this. 3) South Beach Scramble: perfect amount of crab to egg ratio, neither was overpowering the other. The chimichurri is also to die for. If you are looking for breakfast options, please give Veranda a visit!

What an amazing breakfast spot!!! First of all, the hotel and eating area are GORGEOUS. We came in dressed very casual (and it was fine) but it's a little more upscale so that would've been good to know. My husband and I both got the smoked salmon Benedict even tho we were tempted by some of the other dishes on the menu. Mine was made gluten free with GF toast and his was made with a thick potato pancake which he really enjoyed. It was the BEST breakfast we've ever eaten. Although expensive, it was soooo worth it compared to some of the other places nearby which cost about the same and are no where as delicious. If you're in the mood to eat goooooood and splurge a bit, I highly recommend Veranda!!

Google description for Veranda reads "airy, elegant breakfast option" - that's code for your typical breakfast food, only ridiculously overpriced. Veranda is located inside Faena Hotel - a gorgeous hotel - and offers beautiful inside seating, as well as a nicely decorated patio that's right next to the pool. I felt that our hostess was a bit rude and stuck up. She definitely gave us attitude when we didn't want to sit at the table she suggested. Mind you, the patio was pretty empty and the other people were seated in the shade and she was recommending a table for us in the sun. No, thank you! We ordered their pancakes and breakfast sampler. My pancakes were huge but tasted powder-y somehow and they were $23!!! They tasted different than, let's say, Ihop but they were surely not worth that price tag. My friend's food was what you'd typically expect for breakfast: eggs, hashbrowns and sausage. But she had to pay extra for bacon, $8 extra to be exact! How ridiculous is that?! The hashbrowns were hard as a rock. My favorite part was the freshly squeezed orange juice. It's a beautiful hotel and restaurant, but not worth my money. Won't be going back!

The mozzarella sticks were hard and cold in the middle the cheese was borderline still rock solid. The loaded fries were actually pretty yummy it had cheese and bacon, even the fountain drinks tasted super funky like the syrup went bad in the machine or something but all the sodas had this same weird aftertaste, everything else was atrocious.. The service was good the gentleman that was serving us was very kind and attentive to us so I definitely have no complaints about the service, and the ambiance is very retro American diner type of thing going on.
