We ate dinner at Dumpling Time before the Warriors game. We got there early, so it wasn't busy. We were seated right away and given menus. We started with some hot green tea. We ordered the Beijing noodles, BBQ pork Bao, pork XLB, and chicken gyoza. The green tea came out first, and we let it steep a bit before trying it. It was very soothing. Our food came out quickly. The Beijing noodles were really good. They are wide noodles with ground pork on top and cut-up cucumbers. There is a light sauce mixed in it. I added a little chili oil, and that made it taste better. The BBQ pork Bao was okay. The inside had sweet BBQ pork inside. It's a bit too sweet for me. You get three Bao per order. The pork XLB was my favorite item. You get 8 per order. They had such a wonderful savory flavor, and the amount of pork inside was a lot. The only thing I didn't care for was that each XLB was in a mini tin. That made it hard to get out. So when you tried to pull it out with your chopsticks, it gets stuck on the bottom and rips the bottom of the Bao and spills the liquid everywhere. The chicken gyoza were also good. They had a red-colored wrapper, and the filling was tasty. It came with a dipping sauce that was very good. Service here was great. Our waitress was very nice. We were in and out of there quickly, which worked out great.

Wanted to grab some food before heading into a Chase Center DUB's game and decide to give Dumpling Time a try. Have eaten at the nearby Division Street outlet before and enjoyed it. This location, however, seemed more rushed - which I get. Feeding the masses before a game is no easy feat. The food tasted bland, especially the Beijing Noodles. A splash of the table top soy sauce helped a bit, but that too, our group felt was also on the "low sodium" side. And the final comment I'll make is that everything our group ordered came out tasting pre-made (exception was the Beijing Noodle) - lukewarm and bland. The drinks looked delicious, so maybe it's more like bar food. Nevertheless, you can't beat the convenient location. But I think I prefer the Division Street spot.

Tom yum xiao long bao. Total 8 pieces now but ate 2 before taking pic $17

It's $17 for 8 pieces of Tom Yum xiao long bao, plus 6% SF health care mandate which is almost $20 for take out. The menu didn't describe it as spicy, so I was really surprised when I ate it that it was spicy! The description is coconut broth so I thought it'll be slightly sweet. The spiciness overpowered all of the coconut and I didn't barely taste the coconut flavor. Please correct your menu to list spicy because some people are sensitive to spiciness like me. They increased the price from a few months ago but added 2 more pieces cause I think it used to come in 6 pieces. However, the original pork one and pho one is $20. I was here because of the Warriors Halloween event and my friends wanted to play the scratchers. However, all 3 of us loose and didn't win anything from the scratchers. They also accept Blackbird Pay which is nice.

Great food, good sized menu. Fun ambiance. Our party of 3 got seated immediately and service was good even though it was quite chaotic due to the Warriors game. We were able to get seated, order, and finish our food and drinks in time to get to the game. Will try to hit this spot next time I'm at Chase!

Service great Food has done a bit down hill! The original spot is still the best option Fried rice, very little flavor or flare BRING BACK THE OLD SILKEN FRIED TOFU! This new stuff is terrible. Sponge like in thicker coating with weird dipping sauce, so bummed you took this and replaced it with the amazing tofu you use to have Now, overpriced and underwhelming

It's always tough when you're bringing work colleagues to a new place because there's going to be dietary restrictions, and you need food that will please all sorts of people. I'm happy to report that Dumpling Time is a hit. Everyone enjoyed the meal overall. It's a solid spot for a casual lunch or dinner with coworkers. We had vegetarians, so we got one order of the crispy tofu, but I have to say it was just okay. It was more breaded than crispy in the way I prefer from more traditional restaurants. The shishito peppers, though, were a surprisingly great appetizer to our meal. But uhhh sadly these aren't vegetarian due to the bonito flakes. I think it might have said so on the menu so, just watch out, or ask them not to add the bonito. One thing I'll never get over is how they use little aluminum tart cups for the xlbs. I guess it works great if you are with people who don't know how to use chopsticks so they can just lift their XLBs out... but I feel that they're a detriment to the experience. But don't mind me, remember, this is a work dinner. All in all, Dumpling Time is a decent option if you're in the Mission Bay area and want something quick and satisfying. The food is solid, and the atmosphere works well for a group meal.

Everything pictured was delicious outside of the xi'an veggie dumplings soup. I also wasn't a huge fan of chicken bao but others loved it Everything else, I would order again: Wings Fried rice Spring rolls Seafood gyoza Service was quick. Food came out hot and fresh. Chill , laid back after work spot.

My friend and I came here for dinner before going to Chase Center for a show because it was right next to the venue and convenient for us. It was pretty busy, but because there were only two of us, we got seated pretty fast. There's outdoor and indoor seating options, but everything is pretty packed inside. It's also pretty loud, due to the loud music and conversations of everyone. The food itself was mid- we had the kimchi xlb which didn't have a strong kimchi flavor. The spicy dumplings and noodles weren't flavorful either. The only thing that tasted good was the shrimp toast. It was made fresh and was super crispy with a good amount of filling. Staff seemed overworked and tired.

Modern dinner atmosphere! Came across this spot at Thrive City and was met with the BEST & friendliest service from Ben. i'm usually very hesitant with fusion/trendy style restaurants, but the flavor, pricing, and quality here hit the mark! We got the wings, tom yum XLB, jellyfish salad, and beijing noodles. 4/5 - wings. flavor was sweet and spicy but missing something for me. maybe more crisp? appreciate that they were all flats! 5/5 - tom yum XLB, being taiwanese I have a high standard for XLB, and am quite cautious of trendy fusion flavors. but damn these flavor in these blew me away. I definitely need to come back just for these! 4/5 - jellyfish salad, hard to do this right, but the texture was great. it had a very strong smokey and sesame flavor which threw me off slightly, but i still ate all of it! 4/5 - beijing noodles - decent! great date night spot, or cute dinner with friends without completely breaking the bank. definitely want to come back and try other things on the menu when im back!

The place was packed. The Laver tennis event was going on , we sat at the 700 pm match and got to watch it outside. It's was very exciting for Fritz beat Alcaraz which made it extra special. The outdoor seating was nice to see the big screen out front of chase. Inside is nice with plenty of tv's and it's comfy. We went Inside later. The shishito peppers were fantastic and I am so happy we got them. The shrimp dumplings - mmmmmmmmm We got some seafood Gyoza and chicken Bao is top notch. I missed those pictures for I ate them and couldn't stop to get a pic . Mmmmmmmmm Cindy and Henry are so nice - they were our servers for our stay. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and taken care of. I will be back - definitely will be back.

So first I would like to give a shout out to Jose, the bartender. Damn, you make good drinks! That was the best dirty gin martini I have ever had! I dont understand what you did, but I will be back soon so we can discuss. Lol. Then the second round of cocktails were awesome. Loved the French 75! Now our server was also great. We were celebrating my birthday and ready for a good night so we were extra happy and possibly on his nerves. But he handled us perfectly. He was so sweet and patient. The food comes out so fast which is great if you're short on time for an event at the Chase or somewhere else nearby. Everything we ate was delicious! We had shrimp toast, pork gyoza, the Tom Yum and Kimchi XLB, pork and shrimp siu mai,and shishito peppers. It was quick, fresh and hot. The restaurant is open and brught. Good music was playing. Bathrooms were clean. I can't wait to go back! Great place to celebrate a birthday.

Checked out Dumpling Time at Thrive City before the Hot Wheels Monster Truck Event and had a pleasant experience! The vibe here is modern and energetic--perfect for grabbing bites before or after an event especially when everything inside is mostly fried. Service was smooth, and the menu offered plenty of tempting options. I did notice some of the items from before at their original location years ago are no longer on the menu like the large XLB. Our orders were tailored with kids ensuring it met their allergies of eggs, nuts, and soy. What we ordered: * Pork XLB (Xiao Long Bao) - Absolutely delicious! The skin was just the right thickness, holding in all that flavorful broth. We ended up ordering multiple rounds because they were that good and the kids actually wanted to eat! * Vegan Fried Rice - Really well done. Flavorful, balanced, and a great option even for non-vegans at the table. * Pork Gyoza - Crispy bottoms, juicy inside--classic comfort done right. * Shrimp Toast - Crisp and golden, with plenty of shrimp flavor; but have to say it was missing the mark as we remembered it from before. * BBQ Pork - Tender, flavorful, and a nice addition alongside the dumplings. To top it off, we tried the rotating beer tap, which happened to be a strawberry or black currant sour beer during our visit--and it was awesome! Refreshing and paired surprisingly well with the dumplings. The waiter didn't really speak up with his mask on so we just risked it anyways. Overall, Dumpling Time delivers on both quality and fun. Definitely worth a stop if you're in Thrive City and craving dumplings or small plates with great flavors.

Food is pretty good, def worth a try esp the shrimp toast! A crowd favorite. Place is close by chase center and pretty convenient to roam around after. Inside has plenty seating and bar area. Service can be better, didn't feel much welcomed in and person who took our order barely smiled

The staff were friendly and super prompt about clearing empty plates and refilling our tea whenever we signaled it was done, which is always great as the dishes just get on coming! We ordered a bunch of dishes to share, and several really stood out. The spicy tendon was fantastic, shredded paper thin and swimming in a classic spicy sauce. The spicy lamb dumplings were another highlight, with an incredibly thin wrapper and a super flavorful and not gamey at all lamb filling. I also loved the stir fried rice cakes, which were sliced thin enough to avoid that overly chewy texture, and the stir fried noodles Shanghai style were classic and simple in the best way, with big chunks of cabbage and meat and just executed really (the chefs clearly have some serious wok skills!). Not everything we ordered was an absolute knockout as the vegetable dishes could use a bit more flavor and seasoning, but everything overall was good, and the portions across the board were very generous. The desserts were a last-minute decision and I am so glad we went for them. The lava custard buns were fluffy and amazing, with a molten salted egg custard inside, and the sesame balls had a satisfyingly crispy exterior that gave way to a perfectly chewy interior and sweet red bean filling. The value here is also excellent. We left absolutely stuffed and spent around $30 per person, which felt like a great deal for how much food we got and how much we enjoyed it. Highly recommend!

I walked into the restaurant about 45 minutes before closing time at 9:30 PM and several other diners came in after I was seated. The unsettled weather made the people hungry for dumplings. Bao is warm and woody and serene on the inside, a great counterpoint to the bustle of Valencia at every hour. Upon entering there is a large window looking on to the kitchen prep area where culinary experts are often at work constructing the food diners later enjoy on their plates. Tonight a couple of wizards were in the process of making chicken potstickers. Even being vegetarian, just seeing how the dumplings and other items are made is like seeing secrets being shared. I love it and it sets the vibe for the restaurant. My order consisted of the steamed vegetarian buns and sautéed string beans. The buns come out beautifully presented and taste even better: the bun itself is just slightly sweet and that sweetness adds an amazing dimension to the chopped fresh vegetables inside. Can't tell you what any of these veggies are individually and I don't care, they are so good. Next came the sautéed string beans and the sear on the beans themselves was perfect and smoky and delicious. The crispness of the sautee makes the string beans a lovely pairing with the soft yummy of the steamed buns. Last came the sesame balls as a sweet meal ending. I love donuts and fresh-made sesame balls are similar to a donut hole just with a filling that is actually food and so sweetly tasty. The outer fry was crisp and the insides absolutely perfect. Three dishes, all fantastic, and I walk home happy and thankful to Bao for a great simple meal!

Heads up that this is mostly a takeaway spot and they only have 1-2 small tables. The siu mai was fairly big and I liked that the order came with a bunch of sauces- chili oil, soy sauce, and a hot sauce. As a big sauce fan, I appreciated the selection! I'll be back to try most of their selection.

The baked bbq pork buns are sweet with a decent amount of filling. The deep fried dumpling is plump, juicy, and crunchy. The shrimp and chive dumplings are my favorite. It's full of shrimp with a slightly thicker skin, which I think adds a nice chewiness. The veggie egg rolls were okay. I personally wouldn't order those, even if I was craving them. The spare ribs had a really nice savory flavor from the sauce. The egg tarts were okay. I need to note that these bags are leftovers from the day, so they're not as fresh. But they held up the next day so I was able to stretch 2 meals out of them. I can't comment on service since these bags are only for pick up. But they quickly provide the bags once the window open. And it's a small space, with maybe 2 tables. So this place is probably best for to-go orders. Their 2g2g bags have more variety than their Chinatown location. Not sure how many dim sum options there are in the Mission, but I would go here if I was in the area and craving a shrimp and chive dumpling.
