Came for lunch. No one was there. I sat down and see QR code to order. I ordered a soda, fried soup dumplings, fried salt and pepper chicken wings and a soup with noodles and dumpling with bok choy. The fried soup dumpling was good, the fried chicken wings was okay. It lacked flavor. The soup had no flavor at all which was disappointing. I wouldn't get it again.

We came here for a late lunch/early dinner. We got seated right away but eventually it got busy. Service was decent. Cucumber salad (3/5): This was okay. Wasn't as marinated as I like. Noodles (3/5): This had pork and was topped with a fried bean paste. The noodle texture was good. Sauce was okay. Overall, a ok place. There are other dumpling restaurants in the city that I prefer but not too bad place to have a quick meal.

Delicious dumplings in the Castro just one block from Market Street across the Lookout. They have pan-fried soup dumplings! A little pricey.

We had a variety of food here including the black truffle XLB, spicy wontons (not very spicy), pan fried XLB, and ended it with egg yolk custard bun! Made fresh to order and simple - always a safe bet!

Really cute cozy vibe, service is nice. Five stars for service! The food might be more authentic than I'm used to. Not my favorite dim sum, but the flavors are there.

This is my second time here. The place is small and usually always a wait, it helped that I could join list on yelp so after I got there and parked my wait wasn't too bad. Food is delicious You can order from QR code and the food is made really fast. I'll be back again.

Pretty fresh and fast service! You can tell the dumplings are high quality and delicious! Gotta say my favorite ones were the spinach wrap one and the spicy wonton. Also the egg custard bun was amazing! I took down a point because not sure if I would crave the dumplings here in the future. It's good, but I've had more satisfying dumplings experiences if that makes sense haha. Solid place though!

Only menu is QR Code assigned to each table or to go

This restaurant is very popular. There is a wait to get in and an electronic ipad waitlist sign-up . They have soup dumplings, standard Hong Kong style Dim Sum and noodle dishes and soups. We really enjoyed the crystal shrimp and the shrimp and leek dumplings. They were absolutely delicious. The pan fried pork cabbage dumplings were beautiful, but not nearly as tasty as I am used to. My dinner companion enjoyed the corn dumplings and between going outside. The barbecue pork bao tastes microwaved packaged ones from Costco not a fan. The wine was only $6 and not so good. With tip we did spend about 100 bucks which seems a little much for the meal that we had but it was pretty good.

Best Dumplings Ever Everything was very flavorful, Fried shrimp wontons were my favorite...love love love. Food came out right away, didn't interact much with the waitress/server since everything is done on your phone. I will be Stopping by this little spot in SF again.

Hey munchkins hope you all are well. This is part 4 of the food crawl. After a long day of Bon Nene, Garden Creamery, Tartine, and Killer Queen we end with Dumpling House. We go back to my house and we go play board games and order some dumplings and scallion pancakes. I get the shrimp dumplings and they are awesome. The scallion pancakes were nice and warm as well. I do wish they were a bit more crispy but that's a very minor complaint. All in all it was excellent. A great end to the food crawl. As I ate I thought back on all my memories with "The Professor". We played a lot of board games, went to a lot of restaurants, and had many a boba. You're an amazing friend and I'm really gonna miss you. I know you're gonna kick ass with what's next and we're all rooting for you. Many thanks to house of dumplings for such a tasty end to a tasty day.

this place was too good!! had made a reservation about 10 mins before we got there but still waited a good 20-30 mins so we were nervous we would be turned down since closing time was an hour away. place was small and filled. we ordered everything on our phone and was able to place more items without having to wait on a waiter/tress. everything we got was so good!! (spicy XLB, salt and pepper chicken, green beans, shrimp toast, fried wontons, regular and spicy dumplings) would recommend everything, such a good place to eat with family or friends

Came back again and even better. I really love the folks that work here. Such a pleasant experience every time. The food is delicious, the tea is hot!

Cute little restaurant , a little bit of a wait but the owners were very nice and seated us after 20 min wait. Orders so many things I forgot but everything was freshly made and made to order so everything was hot. Everything we got was under 75$

Naturally, I thought the same would be for this location, ordering for delivery. Sadly, I was proved very very wrong. I got a total of 3 items and paid a little over $50 not including tip.First plate, stir fry noodle Shanghai style 0/5. Noodles were stiff, entire plate lacked flavor, it was really dry. The cabbage was just sort of thrown in there and to my surprise, there was chicken (I didn't think it came with meat) and it was so suspicious, one bite and I immediately had to spit it out. It was chewy and tasted uncooked. I began to lose my appetite... Sesame Chicken 0/5 - it was all batter, little to NO meat inside whatsoever. Saucy but it was very clumpy. I was so disappointed with this one. It was literally just eating fried batter in sesame sauce with sesame seeds thrown on top. Braised String Beans - 2.5/5. They were fine, flavored enough with the grilled onions and garlic other than that, not impressive at all. I had really high hopes for this place/order. I had been craving Chinese food for so long and was going to order from my typical place but decided to give this one a try. I definitely should have stuck to what I know would have hit the spot. An absolute waste of $50, so frustrating.

I walked into the restaurant about 45 minutes before closing time at 9:30 PM and several other diners came in after I was seated. The unsettled weather made the people hungry for dumplings. Bao is warm and woody and serene on the inside, a great counterpoint to the bustle of Valencia at every hour. Upon entering there is a large window looking on to the kitchen prep area where culinary experts are often at work constructing the food diners later enjoy on their plates. Tonight a couple of wizards were in the process of making chicken potstickers. Even being vegetarian, just seeing how the dumplings and other items are made is like seeing secrets being shared. I love it and it sets the vibe for the restaurant. My order consisted of the steamed vegetarian buns and sautéed string beans. The buns come out beautifully presented and taste even better: the bun itself is just slightly sweet and that sweetness adds an amazing dimension to the chopped fresh vegetables inside. Can't tell you what any of these veggies are individually and I don't care, they are so good. Next came the sautéed string beans and the sear on the beans themselves was perfect and smoky and delicious. The crispness of the sautee makes the string beans a lovely pairing with the soft yummy of the steamed buns. Last came the sesame balls as a sweet meal ending. I love donuts and fresh-made sesame balls are similar to a donut hole just with a filling that is actually food and so sweetly tasty. The outer fry was crisp and the insides absolutely perfect. Quick and tasty spot. Came here to split a siu mai while waiting for my order from another spot…read more The cashier was super friendly and the food came out quickly. Heads up that this is mostly a takeaway spot and they only have 1-2 small tables. The siu mai was fairly big and I liked that the order came with a bunch of sauces- chili oil, soy sauce, and a hot sauce. As a big sauce fan, I appreciated the selection! I'll be back to try most of their selection.

I've only ordered dim sum from here through Too Good to Go (2g2g). Like their Chinatown location,…read moreI find the dim sum to be oily. But overall, it's good. The baked bbq pork buns are sweet with a decent amount of filling. The deep fried dumpling is plump, juicy, and crunchy. The shrimp and chive dumplings are my favorite. It's full of shrimp with a slightly thicker skin, which I think adds a nice chewiness. The veggie egg rolls were okay. I personally wouldn't order those, even if I was craving them. The spare ribs had a really nice savory flavor from the sauce. The egg tarts were okay. I need to note that these bags are leftovers from the day, so they're not as fresh. But they held up the next day so I was able to stretch 2 meals out of them. I can't comment on service since these bags are only for pick up. But they quickly provide the bags once the window open. And it's a small space, with maybe 2 tables. So this place is probably best for to-go orders. Their 2g2g bags have more variety than their Chinatown location. Not sure how many dim sum options there are in the Mission, but I would go here if I was in the area and craving a shrimp and chive dumpling.
