Dumpling King lives up to their name! I ordered the pan fried pork and leek dumplings. Ten for $7 which is an incredible price! It's a small takeout restaurant located in a tiny food court. One girl taking orders with two men cooking and prepping the steamed or pan fried dumplings. There was a line of people waiting for their orders. My order was ready in around 10-15 minutes and they were delicious. The skins were a good thickness with a nice chew and were pan fried to a satisfying crispness. The generous pork filling was tender and juicy. Definitely one of the best pan fried dumplings I've had and for sure the cheapest!

Delicious, made to order potstickers and dumplings in a itty-bitty food court. 10 dumplings for $7 in this economy? Sign me up. Wish they had more legit customer seating, as their only seats are around a foldable table in front of where you order. Not really a feasible seating area, but the dumplings do travel just fine. Didn't love the veggie dumplings, but the chicken and pork with leek dumplings were wonderful. The gentleman / owner of the shop is super friendly and his chef in the back gets the job done! Frozen dumplings are also available for purchase. Overall, a yummy cheap eat to enjoy during a Boston Chinatown food crawl! Highly recommend!

A restaurant counter scene includes a table with menus, a refrigerator with notices and advertisements, and a wall clock showing approximately 4:10. The background reveals part of a food court with signage and food displays. The setting appears to be casual dining or takeout, with various items on the counter and a visible food preparation area.

This place truly brought me back to life. Needed some steamed pork dumplings and this place hit the spot. It was the most popular spot in the tiny food hall by far. No combo available when I went and they do accept cards. Very nice and fast

I got the pork and leek as well as the pork and mushroom dumplings to go. The space is inside other little shops so just walk through. There isn't too many spaces to sit so I ended up taking it to go. I tried both the stir fried and boiled version. The size of the dumplings are generous and honestly it's scrumptious. For the price and portion and flavor, it's really running for its buck! A cheap yet great meal if you are ever in Chinatown. You can also buy the frozen dumplings in case you didn't have enough of it! I love the dipping sauce they have as well. I will recommend the stir fry for a bit more crunchy texture of the dumplings if it's your first time.

Great dumplings! Not so great service. : ( The space was interesting. Imagine a room with five different "restaurants" squeezed into one.

A food counter area in a small eatery features a cash register, various shelves with supplies, and a refrigerator filled with frozen dumplings labeled with prices. The refrigerator contains packages of frozen dumplings, including large and smaller sizes. Behind the counter, a worker is partially visible, and the space is equipped with storage containers, paper towels, and other kitchen essentials. The setting appears to be a takeout-focused food stall or small restaurant.

The food isn't too bad. No frills. Don't expect friendliness. Just order and give them your money. Limited space and not really a sit down place. Shares an area with three to four other businesses Made to order. Fresh and crispy.

The image shows a small Asian restaurant with a counter where customers place orders. One customer stands at the counter, while staff behind the counter prepare food. The setting includes a checkered floor, a vending machine, and a pink sign with a cartoon chicken. The ceiling has fluorescent lighting, and there are clocks and fire safety equipment on the wall.

Every year I have a firm meeting in Boston in December, and I spend an extra day in town. I usually pop over to Gene's flatbread Café for a late breakfast, but they don't open until 11, so this year I tried dumpling king, which opens at 10. Very glad I did! Super tasty dumplings served piping hot - be careful!. I have the pork and leek, fried. It's a relative steal at 10 pieces for seven bucks. It's a very simple food court of sorts - four little business jammed into a tiny space. There is no seating for dumpling king, but the other businesses have some countertop seating, and I think it's OK to sit there as long as those businesses are not open. Pop over to Ho Yuen Bakery before or after for a tasty beef curry bun.

Pork and Mushroom Dumplings - A white foam takeout container contains multiple pan-fried dumplings with golden-brown, crispy edges and soft, steamed tops. A small cup of soy sauce is included for dipping. The container is placed on a white surface, with a napkin and utensils nearby, indicating a casual dining setting.

Tiny hole in the wall place with delicious and inexpensive dumplings! I got some spicy soup from the place right by it and they paired perfectly together. Highly recommend! Probably the best deal you'll find on food in the city.

Got the pan friend dumplings! These were really good for the price (10 for $7). And are so juicy

Oh man, these dumplings were delicious. Probably the best I've ever had, and at a great price. We originally intended to eat somewhere else but they were closed for 4th of July. We ended up going a few shops down to Dumpling King. The sign is on the window, but it's really in a "food hall" right next to it. It is a very tight space and slightly chaotic, but well worth it.

A green printed menu flyer from Dumpling King in Boston features a cartoon mascot and lists dumpling options including pan-fried, boiled, and veggie dumplings, with prices and a combo deal for dumplings with soup and soda. The flyer includes Chinese translations, contact information, and additional items like scallion pancake and dumpling soup.

42 Beach Street in Food Court. Service - good. I ordered the steamed pork dumplings. Yum, yum, yum! Worth a trip to Chinatown just for these. Frozen dumpling bags (large) made locally available for purchase. $5.00 each. Guesstimate each bag holds 25 dumplings.

Solid place to satisfy your dumpling cravings. They offer a variety of dumplings that they prepare either boiled or pan fried. It was crowded when we arrived so be prepared to wait a bit and seating is scarce. Order to the right of the sign and don't be intimidated by the crowd. It is worth it for fresh hot dumplings on a chilly Boston day. They were yummy and hit the spot! The two men running the eatery were working hard the whole time so be patient and be sure to listen for your number!

Great dumplings at a great price. If you're in to real Chinese dumplings, this is the place to go. Kind of a hidden gem though.

I would come back for these. Someone next to us also ordered them. Now I did still want to try their traditional dishes so we split Xaio Long Baos which were really good soup dumplings. They were fresh and tasty. I also got a general gau chicken which I know is more Americanized Chinese food but got it since it was offered as a plate with rice. It was tasty, a little spicy and a large portion--I had leftovers. First of all, the arrangement they had for queueing for tables was a bit confusing and unclear. We were given a slip of a paper with a number on it, which the hostess eventually called out after about 10 minutes. I wish they had a more seamless system for handling this (in an app or taking phone numbers instead). We ordered lots of dishes to share.. pineapple buns with roast pork, the viral crab rangoon scallion pancake, soup dumplings, rice rolls with ribs, etc. The standout for me was definitely the crab rangoon scallion pancakes. I 100% get the hype! It's ooey and gooey and perfect for any crab rangoon lover. I was however pretty disappointed in the pineapple buns (one of my favorite dishes) and soup dumplings, which honestly just tasted like they were frozen and reheated from the grocery store. The service was also very absent and it took awhile for us to wave someone down so we could pay our bill. Not sure if we visited on an off day or something, but I wasn't very impressed.

The fish replied, "What's water?" At Hei La Moon, I was that fish. I'd never had dim sum, so I had nothing to compare it to. That said, Hei La Moon earned the dubious distinction of being the restaurant that taught me I don't particularly like dim sum. The place is massive - think banquet hall - so ambience isn't exactly a thing. Servers roll carts around like a buffet on wheels, which makes life easy for patrons but also feels a little gross (how many steps did my food log by the time it reached my table?). I didn't care for most of the dishes we ordered, but that could be less a statement about Hei La Moon and more about me (I tend to stick with the Americanized Chinese food staples - egg rolls, beef with broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, General Tsao's, you get the idea). As I recall, there was also a bit of a weird smell to the place, which was off-putting. Now I can say I've tried dim sum, and I also don't ever have to go back. Isn't America great?!
