We came on a Saturday night. There were a fair amount of customers dining in. Service was not fussy and quick. String beans were very delicious! Had minced pork in it Cucumber salad was refreshing and came with carrots Fried shrimp dumplings and steamed pork and chives dumping - preferred the steamed ones personally Xiao long biao - soup dumpling was tasty Custard buns for dessert - the inside was not gooey fresh but the filling still delivered. The bun itself seemed a bit undercooked The servers grew increasingly more impatient since it was getting close to closing time. They actually turned off the kitchen lights which prompted all the straggling customers to leave. If you want to take your time, I recommend coming earlier. Overall it was a good experience and we will be back! read more

Get the Beef pancakes! It's juicy and so satisfying. Everytime I go to restaurants, I always ask what their best dish is. Not what they sell, but what their niche! It's BEEF pancakes. Also, their shrimp and pork dumplings OR any of their handmade dumplings! I always get the string beans with beef or chicken or pork. Depending on what type of mood I'm in. String beans hit different when it's cooked on the wok. read more

The tale of 2 Dumpling Houses About a week apart my wife and I visited the Dumpling House in Fricso and in Plano. These two businesses share a name, but that's it. I will outline each below: ***Frisco Dumpling House Location: This business is located in amongst many dining establishments, in a higher end and busy area. Atmosphere: Much like the Dr.'s call box where it's bigger on the inside, this place is better on the inside... outside is kind of drab, but inside is very nice. Food: The food items we chose were excellent. The quality and cleanliness were also very good. The chef(s) were quite adept at their dishes. Some specifics would be Dishes we tried: Singapore noodles - This dish was perfectly made, the flavors were strong but not overpowering. It was exactly as it should be. Won Ton Tong (won ton soup) - This dish has a great tasting broth, and the won ton were properly filled and also with good flavor. Steamed Gou tchee (dumpling) [note you can also get these pan fried] There are several varieties, we chose the pork ones this time. Wan Yee (Black Fungus / type of mushroom) - so this one would be my only complaint for the Frisco location - the seasoning had something missing (vinegar I believe). But still okay. ***Plano Dumpling House Location: Run down Atmosphere: Run down Food: Disgusting Dishes we tried: House signature dumpling - lacking any aromatics, flavorless, except the meat was sour (aka bad) Singapore noodles - So heavy handed on the curry the noodle dish was slightly grainy. The curry overpowered all other flavors, and this was practically inedible. The table next to us (came after us) also complained about this same dish. Won Ton Tong - broth flavor was missing, the meat again was sour (aka expired...) #Bottom line# Go to Frisco Dumpling house, stay away from the Plano one. read more

Ordered to go. Went to open my food and they were not fried dumplings. They were steamed dumplings with light grill marks on them. But not the fried I was expecting. They did not have that yummy texture I was looking for- instead they were super mushy, and it felt like I was eating baby food. The egg rolls were overcooked and difficult to bite into. I wish they did fried tofu! Because the shrimp and tofu dumplings texture was way off. First time eating here, last time eating here. read more

We just went in to borrow a menu so we could place an order- and the male clerk looked me up and down and said we don't have to-go menu's. I said ok, can I take a menu to the car and I'll bring it back and order? He looked me up and down again and stared while the female waitress explained what I wanted and he didn't respond. COMPLETELY RUDE so guess what? We'll go next door to What The Pho for dinner. Contrary to popular belief, I was not out to steal a menu. We used to like this place but won't be back again. read more

Despite some of the recent negative reviews, my husband and I tried this restaurant. We are so glad we did. We got dumplings and fried rice. It was all very delicious. Server was attentive and nice, the team was quick to refill drinks and accommodate requests. Yes, it's not fancy or posh but I prefer "hole in the wall" places that serve authentic, good food over that anyway. Will be returning to this mom & pop!! read more

Really good food. Kind service and not crazy busy. Reasonably priced and basically a no brainer. We're from out of town and so glad we came across the place. Dumplings and noodles were fresh and tasty. read more

This place doesn't have the best location. It's not visible from the street. If it weren't for Yelp and word-of-mouth, I wouldn't have found this place. Green onion pancake - wowza! 5/5. Thicker than usual, but the outside was very crispy and not too oily. Great value, big portion. Kids loved it. Wonton soup - freaking awesome! 5/5 The wontons weren't big and there were fewer than 10 pieces for a large portion. But they were crafted of fresh shrimp and nothing else. No other fillers. The soup amazed me...my radar didn't detect any MSG. Instead, they used chopped seaweed to flavor the soup and successfully unleashed a tornado of umami taste. What blew my mind was the aroma. It was soup; but it had a bit of burnt aroma - how could that be? What other ingredients they put in the soup was a mystery. Which I loved! Pork and scallop dumplings/pan fried - stupendous. 4/5 Ours were not pan-fried long, so they weren't that crispy. I wished they fried them longer. The pork and scallop fillings were big, plump, fresh, juicy, and bursting with tons of flavor. I wished they gave us a sauce to dip the dumplings in....something that tastes a little tart, sweet, garlicky, and spicy...wait, where did I get dumpling sauce like that? Can't remember anymore. Shrimp and tofu dumplings. 3/5 This was a let-down.....the dumplings were made of fresh shrimp, but the tofu texture reminded me of.....feta cheese? Doesn't taste like feta cheese for sure, but still...just not my cup of tea. Service. 4/5 Would have been 3/5 (standard service), but there was a lady who used to work at Caravelle (she was around 50 y.o., thin). We went to Caravelle numerous times over the years, and she frequently waited on us. This lady (not our server tonight) walked by and recognized us. She chatted with us and thanked us couple times for stopping by Dumpling House. Really nice lady. Because of her, I gave 4/5 star for service. My kiddos love this place. Total damage to my pocket: including tax, $41. Added $6 tip. Total $47 all inclusive. Verdict: we will return. Our pleasure. read more

bad. lamb was chicken, and not very much of it. 16.99 dumplings were good though, for 12.99. total 33 dollars, this was lacking. also rice was old and hard - thank you jacob, i appreciate your response. in responding to feedback, you might also know that your employees smoke right in front of the building and you could smell them inside as well. read more

Came here for the first time with my boyfriend since we wanted to try something new. There aren't very many authentic Chinese food around that I know of and we stumbled upon our search on yelp and this place came up. I can't believe I didn't find this place sooner. The food here is so good and if you're looking for authentic street food, this is it! The atmosphere and place is set up kind of traditional like round tables for family style and also private booths on the other side. Great for big or small parties. We ordered the pork and cabbage bun, marinated beef, scallion pancake(by request), and spicy beef shank noodle soup! Everything was good and we had some food to take home too. Definitely will be back. Random, but I love the holder for the candy too. Service is nice and quick! Can't wait to come back to try the rest of the menu. Till then, let's eat!!! read more

We came way back in November, just forgot to review. I made a tiktok of this place and it's my most viewed tiktok with 6k views..lol. We got the soup dumplings of course, shrimp pork dumplings, and garlic beef. The soup dumplings were really good. I liked the broth inside. The shrimp and pork dumplings were good as well. What do you expect with a place called dumpling house? After reading the reviews, I decided to get garlic beef. Good decision. Loved it was garlicky and delicious. Beef was tender. We had a Taiwanese friend that recommended this place and we finally had the chance to try it today. To be honest, I was a bit scared to try a new place for fear it wouldn't be any good. Coming from California where there is authentic Asian food everywhere, I can sometimes be a bit picky. I saw that the stir fried beef rice noodles was frequently posted on here so I decided to order it too. The first bite was like a burst of wok aroma. SO GOOD!! The comment my husband and I both said when we left was , "that was the BEST beef flat noodles I've ever had in Dallas!" We really enjoyed everything else too! Our kids really loved it and were so full by the time they left. Now, it's a winning battle when you can get a 4 year old and 8 year old to eat something they really enjoy. The staff was so very sweet. We ordered way too much food and before they started bringing the food out, they kindly asked if we could move so all the food could fit. Super sweet. One of our dishes came out incorrectly, honestly, likely an ordering error on my part. They didn't even question and quickly whipped up the right dish and brought it out. It happened to be the flat noodle!! Again, so good!!! We will definitely be coming back. Can't wait to try some of their other dishes!! read more

Ordered delivery for my son and I. We ordered the signature buns (which my son loved), crab rangoon (tasty), and the combination lo mein (pictured). The description provided for the combination lo mein was that it had shrimp, chicken, and beef, along with soybean sprout, cabbage, carrot, onion, broccoli. The photo I posted with the review is what I received. Yea, it's takeout. Yea, it was delivery but they didnt even bother putting one broccoli spear or cabbage leaf in the entire entree. I specifically ordered the dish because, even though I didn't feel like cooking, I still wanted my son to have SOME vegetables. Ended up having to steam some green beans because, in this dish, there were no vegetables to be found (aside from the 4 slivers of green onion mixed in). My suggestion, stick to dumplings and buns here because I'm not sure they even have vegetables at all. read more

Oh my gods. I grew up in Taiwan and I've been a lover of dumplings and bao since I can eat solid food. Lemme tell you, this place is legit. Their signature bao brought me back to my childhood with the softest, juiciest bao since I have moved to the US. The bread of the bao was so soft, bouncy, and not too oily. And when you bite into it, the seasoning was balanced and the juice of the pork flavored the bun itself perfectly. Also, do your belly a favor and order the beef pancake. I have no words to describe it except that it was probably one of the most exceptional thing from the restaurant. Just be careful when you bite into it because the juices will burn you if you don't let it cool off a bit. I also got the vegetable lo mein and goodness gracious it's delicious. I hate it when their too oily and the vegetables are cooked to death but the veggies were crunchy and noodles are all dente. 110% recommend! read more

Changed ownership since I've been here last. Food quality has dropped significantly. You can't even chew through the beef, dishes were super oily, so much msg and salt, everyone at our table drank through full glasses and glasses of water to wash down the saltiness. Not for me. read more

I have come to this location for about 2 yrs. Today, I experienced nothing but anger after having a nice dinner with my family. After putting our food in take out boxes and my partner paying. We normally leave a cash tip even if we pay with a card. As we are walking out, a lady comes chasing after us telling us we didn't tip. Mind you, I opened the first set of doors, and my 2yr old is trying to open the second door to get out. She's showing my husband no see 80 no tip. The tip is under the check. So I moved the check and saw we paid with a card $20 tip under, and she just said sorry and walked away. I wanted to snatch that tip so fast that's so disrespectful because the whole restaurant then looks at us like we are dining and dashing or whatever the case. I'm super disappointed read more

We went this past weekend and were extremely disappointed. The service was horrible, we ordered the beef tendon, never arrived. Each time the server walked by she didn't say anything. Towards the end of our dinner, I asked where our food was & she mentioned the cooks are very busy, yet there were only a couple of customers in the restaurant and we could get the food to go. We declined and she reluctantly took it off our check. Dumplings were cold as was the meat inside. Not served as expected. Also, restrooms were unkept and had a stench that hit you as you walked towards the restroom. Overall we won't be returning. read more

We drove over to this restaurant today to find out that the hours posted on Map, Yelp and on their door does not correspond with their real hours. We showed up at 10:30 AM wait until 11 AM and nobody showed to open the business. At that point we realized the post of hours are incorrect. Business needs to correct hours of operation. Check your hours on yelp and maps, it says 10:30.and we were there till 11:05, it's not open, I did research google says close on Wednesday. read more

This has been on my list for awhile and hmm dumplings...who doesn't like them. First of all, the entrance is actually on the inside of the building between the German restaurant. We were seated fairly quickly and got our drinks and was ready to order. The young guy asked if we were ready to order and we said yes, but was never attended until 20 minutes later until the sweet old lady came by and took our order. We ordered the signature dumplings and pan fried beef and onion with general tso chicken. All the food was cooked fresh and pleasantly fulfilling. The old lady made up for the wait time early. This place might be small in comparison to the Bavarian restaurant next door, but this place is a gem. We will be coming back more often. We had their (B01) House Signature Bun steamed (beef) and they were tasty and fresh. Put a little soy and a dab of chili oil from the table and they are great. (D02) Pork & Shrimp Dumplings steamed were our favorite. Then we tried the (BF01) Golden Garlic Beef--the beef and very fresh vegetables tasted great! We had white rice with the beef. read more

We went here by mistake thinking it was a dim sum place from all the dumpling pictures. This is not a dim sum place it's a dumpling place as the name suggests. We ended up getting seasme chicken which taste fresh and full of flavor. Slight crunch on the outside and juicy chicken on the inside with the sweet & tart sesame sauce. My daughter got the hot and sour noodle soup which does not come with meat as the server informed us. She liked it, said if you like sour this soup is for you. The soup dumpling was very good. The soup was flavorful, the meat was soft and juicy and the dumpling skin was nice and thin with just the right about of chew to it. Service was good, although we kept hearing the cook talking in Chinese very loudly we Will be back again. read more

OMG... this place was so good. We came pretty late at night with a group of 7. We took a long time to decide what to order but the waiter there was really patient. Most of us ordered buns or dumplings. For this kind of food, it came out pretty quickly, especially since it was so late at night and they were probably wrapping up. I ended up getting the steamed cabbage buns. They were soooooo good. It reminded me of my mom's food. It was definitely authentic. The filling was good, and the dough was even better. The pricing was on point. We ended up staying a little bit past 10 when they closed because we had ordered so much food but they were really nice about it and they didn't try to rush us or anything. I wish I lived in Dallas because if I did, I would definitely frequent this place a lot. read more

The food here is genuinely delicious. You cannot go wrong with any of the dumplings, and the entrees are top tier as well. Based on food alone, this competes for the best place to eat in the metroplex. That sounds like I'm exaggerating but I'm not. It really is that good. If you live in the area you have to try this place and their shrimp and pork dumplings steamed or fried. read more

Omg this place is soooo good. The pan fried pork and chives dumplings are so juicy and delicious. I highly recommend.

I love this place and the lunch specials are fantastic with lots of options to choose from. Lunch specials come with soup and an egg roll. The orange beef is crispy and tangy. I've also gotten the green onion pancake and combo low mein and both are wonderful. My favorite thing, hands down, Is the beef and onion dumplings - steamed! That's where the soup is (it's not a soup dumpling but it kinda is, too). Best dumplings in DfW period. Service is great and quick, and the restaurant is clean. read more

This is more of a 4.5 star review. I came here on a Sunday during lunch with my mom and we were seated immediately. Customers kept coming so they definitely have good business but I don't think anyone had to wait for a table while we were there. We ordered the basa fish dumplings fried and the goubuli buns steamed. We also ordered the dry fried string beans with minced pork and the stewed beef noodle soup. The string beans are definitely one of the best I've ever had. Super fresh, crispy and not too salty. The stewed beef noodle soup was delicious! The meat was incredibly tender and the noodles were perfectly cooked. The goubuli buns reminded me of my childhood and were so fluffy. My favorite dish though was the basa fish dumplings. I have had my fair share of dumplings but this was the best I've ever had! The dumplings were fried perfectly with that golden bottom and the filling was absolutely delicious! I definitely recommend these dumplings! The only reason why I would take off a half star is because this place is a bit pricey compared to other Chinese restaurants. read more

We ordered way too much, but we had plenty to take home. We also had combination lo mein for Ss and Gs. The people were very nice. But the food was sooooo good. We ate so much, and we went back twice more in the next week!!! Ahhhh!!! Also to note: I checked out their Facebook after dinner. Their social media person is very good at their job. Service was good (one lady pretty much serving the entire restaurant) with other staff members working in the back... but food wasn't really up to our expectations. We ordered: - homemade dumplings - pork buns - schezhuan shrimp - pork ribs - green beans Everything tasted weird or way too much sauce except the homemade dumplings and minced pork green beans, which were also the only items that tasted authentic. The entrees were mostly Americanized Chinese food, and just not what we were expecting... from the pictures, we expected the entire meal to taste homemade and authentic. Unfortunately, we probably won't be back. read more

This dumpling place opened not too long ago and it's tucked inside the northwest corner of Parker and 75 near Bavarian grill. To be honest, i think 75% of the cars in the lot belong to customers at Dumpling House. When you arrive make sure you write your name on the clipboard because there's probably a wait. Or at least every time that I've went which was a weekend lunch. Approx 20-40 min wait. It's a decent sized place. More well put together than Noodle House and cleaner. The first time I went our food all came out within 20 minutes after ordering which was super fast being that the place was full. It was all super yummy. Buns and dumplings are offered in both steamed and fried being that fried is a dollar more (which seems stupid to me; guess it pays for the oil) Appetizer: Fried Squid - just the right amount of seasoning and the batter wasn't too thick. Entree: Goubuli bun (steamed) they can't do the fried version yet. They're sized pretty well and oh so delicious stuffed with meat and veggies Chicken and mushroom dumplings (fried) which were divine!! They're fresh and hot and a good size. They're juicy inside, so it's almost like the small juicy dumplings, which they don't have. You can make your own sauce using some vinegar, soy sauce, and chili sauce. Green onion pancake : soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. You can dip this in that sauce mentioned above as well. Beef tendon noodle soup: good for a cold day. The soup base is on fleek. Plentiful amount of noodles and beef. You can also share this bowl as well, so that way you can try all of the other stuff. Some little quirks like any new restaurant, but not bad enough to keep me away!! It'll be a while before I go back to noodle house. read more
