The NOODLES! I've rarely had a better bowl of beef noodle soup. Especially now that the weather is cooling off, come in and enjoy some of the BEST beef noodle soup around! The broth is delicious. They have a spicy and a non-spicy version and the spicy broth is PERFECTION. The noodles are delectable and have some of the best mouth feel I've ever experienced. The meat is plentiful and tender, falling apart in your mouth! As a more traditional Chinese eatery, expect large servings meant to share with the table. Got a whole noodle soup for myself the first time I went and was challenged to finish it all! The service is AMAZING! Despite some of the recent negative reviews, my husband and I tried this restaurant. We are so glad we did. We got dumplings and fried rice. It was all very delicious. Server was attentive and nice, the team was quick to refill drinks and accommodate requests. The bun itself seemed a bit undercooked The servers grew increasingly more impatient since it was getting close to closing time. They actually turned off the kitchen lights which prompted all the straggling customers to leave. If you want to take your time, I recommend coming earlier. I will outline each below: ***Frisco Dumpling House Location: This business is located in amongst many dining establishments, in a higher end and busy area. Atmosphere: Much like the Dr.'s call box where it's bigger on the inside, this place is better on the inside... outside is kind of drab, but inside is very nice. Food: The food items we chose were excellent. The quality and cleanliness were also very good. The chef(s) were quite adept at their dishes. Some specifics would be Dishes we tried: Singapore noodles - This dish was perfectly made, the flavors were strong but not overpowering. It was exactly as it should be. Won Ton Tong (won ton soup) - This dish has a great tasting broth, and the won ton were properly filled and also with good flavor. Steamed Gou tchee (dumpling) [note you can also get these pan fried] There are several varieties, we chose the pork ones this time. Wan Yee (Black Fungus / type of mushroom) - so this one would be my only complaint for the Frisco location - the seasoning had something missing (vinegar I believe). But still okay. ***Plano Dumpling House Location: Run down Atmosphere: Run down Food: Disgusting Dishes we tried: House signature dumpling - lacking any aromatics, flavorless, except the meat was sour (aka bad) Singapore noodles - So heavy handed on the curry the noodle dish was slightly grainy. The curry overpowered all other flavors, and this was practically inedible. The table next to us (came after us) also complained about this same dish. I have come to this location for about 2 yrs. Today, I experienced nothing but anger after having a nice dinner with my family. After putting our food in take out boxes and my partner paying. We normally leave a cash tip even if we pay with a card. As we are walking out, a lady comes chasing after us telling us we didn't tip. Mind you, I opened the first set of doors, and my 2yr old is trying to open the second door to get out. She's showing my husband no see 80 no tip. The tip is under the check. So I moved the check and saw we paid with a card $20 tip under, and she just said sorry and walked away. There aren't very many authentic Chinese food around that I know of and we stumbled upon our search on yelp and this place came up. I can't believe I didn't find this place sooner. The food here is so good and if you're looking for authentic street food, this is it! The atmosphere and place is set up kind of traditional like round tables for family style and also private booths on the other side. Great for big or small parties. We ordered the pork and cabbage bun, marinated beef, scallion pancake(by request), and spicy beef shank noodle soup! Everything was good and we had some food to take home too. We had a Taiwanese friend that recommended this place and we finally had the chance to try it today. To be honest, I was a bit scared to try a new place for fear it wouldn't be any good. Coming from California where there is authentic Asian food everywhere, I can sometimes be a bit picky. I saw that the stir fried beef rice noodles was frequently posted on here so I decided to order it too. The first bite was like a burst of wok aroma. SO GOOD!! The comment my husband and I both said when we left was , "that was the BEST beef flat noodles I've ever had in Dallas!" We really enjoyed everything else too! Our kids really loved it and were so full by the time they left. Now, it's a winning battle when you can get a 4 year old and 8 year old to eat something they really enjoy. The staff was so very sweet. We ordered way too much food and before they started bringing the food out, they kindly asked if we could move so all the food could fit. Super sweet. One of our dishes came out incorrectly, honestly, likely an ordering error on my part. They didn't even question and quickly whipped up the right dish and brought it out. I love this place and the lunch specials are fantastic with lots of options to choose from. Lunch specials come with soup and an egg roll. The orange beef is crispy and tangy. I've also gotten the green onion pancake and combo low mein and both are wonderful. My favorite thing, hands down, Is the beef and onion dumplings - steamed! Oh my gods. I grew up in Taiwan and I've been a lover of dumplings and bao since I can eat solid food. Lemme tell you, this place is legit. Their signature bao brought me back to my childhood with the softest, juiciest bao since I have moved to the US. The bread of the bao was so soft, bouncy, and not too oily. And when you bite into it, the seasoning was balanced and the juice of the pork flavored the bun itself perfectly. Also, do your belly a favor and order the beef pancake. I have no words to describe it except that it was probably one of the most exceptional thing from the restaurant. Just be careful when you bite into it because the juices will burn you if you don't let it cool off a bit. I also got the vegetable lo mein and goodness gracious it's delicious. We went here by mistake thinking it was a dim sum place from all the dumpling pictures. This is not a dim sum place it's a dumpling place as the name suggests. We ended up getting seasme chicken which taste fresh and full of flavor. Slight crunch on the outside and juicy chicken on the inside with the sweet & tart sesame sauce. OMG... this place was so good. We came pretty late at night with a group of 7. We took a long time to decide what to order but the waiter there was really patient. Most of us ordered buns or dumplings. For this kind of food, it came out pretty quickly, especially since it was so late at night and they were probably wrapping up. I ended up getting the steamed cabbage buns. They were soooooo good. It reminded me of my mom's food. It was definitely authentic. The filling was good, and the dough was even better. The pricing was on point. We ended up staying a little bit past 10 when they closed because we had ordered so much food but they were really nice about it and they didn't try to rush us or anything.
