Food is GREAT. Love the effort put into decorating the restaurant. You can definitely see a few remnants from Bergen Burger (prior restaurant) but they did a great job with the lighting! The ramen is served in TREE TRUNKS. Tree trunks preserved and then hollowed out with a bowl placed inside? I'm guessing! I got the French onion ramen which had a huge chunk of tender beef on the top. YUM. Was a bit of miscommunication with the server where he didn't put our one order in but that was fine. They also had trouble splitting the bill for us. I am forgiving, because this place is fairly new. I'll come with cash next time though. Prices - very reasonable. Will be back to try the small plates! read more

Visited for lunch - the atmosphere is great! Just like sitting in a tree house! You can tell a lot of work went into making this place! To start we had the snow pea leaves, I wasn't even sure what this was... It was great! I used a lot of the sauces that are available. We also had the veggie dumplings (steamed).... All of the dumplings are made from scratch and hand rolled. They were amazing!!!! I orders the ramen buffalo chicken - it was good! I wasn't sure what to expect I'm not sure I liked the hard boiled egg that was in there, but I just didn't eat it. My mom got the veggie lo-Mein and she said it was great!!! I don't have one complaint: the food is always piping hot upon pickup, it's always made to perfection, and they always go above and beyond to make sure that no accidents happen when bringing the food home! Great concept, great decor, good food. Small little Ramen place in Rutherford that offers more then Ramen. Decorated with trees and bird nests the concept is: you pick out what you want from the simple yet plentiful menu, pay, get a number and wait for your food to come out while seated at one of their Tables. (It's also BYOB). We ordered the Peking ravioli/fried (which are really just dumplings) which were tasty. I would like to try the other varieties next time. We also got the stuffed shiitake mushrooms. They were light and the stuffing was nice. Felt like these were a healthier option compared to the other little plates. We each also ordered Ramen: The Cajun pork chop and the French Onion with beef short ribs. (You can also order this over just rice and veggies) The meat was plentiful and good quality. The noodles had a great consistency/texture. Unfortunately the broth was on the bland side. It was lacking flavor but the great thing is there is a "help yourself" sauce bar and with a little doctoring I got my broth to be very flavorful. (The ginger sauce is the bomb). There were some homemade cupcakes for dessert available for purchase but we were too full. We will definitely be back again to try some other menu options. The place is great! read more

Then decide if you want it sauteed with noodles, in a noodle soup, over rice, etc. you really can't go wrong! I called for delivery and was greeted with/had the nicest conversation with the hostess. I work and stay in Rutherford 4 days a week, and order out almost everyday. I've always skipped over this restaurant, and I really regret it! I woke up with a craving for friend pork (lechon kawali- in Tagalog Filipino Food culture) and it was between a Columbian place and this place. Having tried the other place I knew it was overpriced and hard to chew (not crunchy or fried properly). THIS WAS DELICIOUS. The perfect amount of crispy for delivery, and the friend rice was exactly how I love it!! Not at all oily, with egg and just the perfect portion. And I found out that all the little plates are only $4 before 4:00pm was such a good surprise. I'm so happy with this meal! We also got the pork ravioli and the pork buns, and matcha (lemon tone) drink loved it! My only sadness is that I didn't get more pork plates, I would have loved more. The friendly female behind the counter was welcoming and works diligently as you pick your food and drinks on a menu. No waiter/waitress makes the ordering very quick and easy. I like that they have an assortment of, what seems to be, homemade sauces and dressings. I had the rice bowl with pork. The food was beautifully served in a bowl that looks like it was placed inside a tree trunk and wrapped in a huge leaf. Gave the rice a nice little hint of smokiness. The food is amazing here. I dream of their bao. I love that you can customize your ramen bowls. I took one star off because the service was pretty bad the day we went. They have a dry erase system where you write down you order on your menu. Cool in theory, terrible In practice. Our food was delivered to another table. So, the food here is actually pretty good. Actually really good. But what's the point if the service is terrible? We walked in on a Saturday afternoon and there were three tables sitting and 4 people working there. The tables were dirty and we had to wait five mins until someone greeted us and offered to wipe down a dirty table for us. We sit down and wait another 10 mins until given a menu or taken a drink order. Finally we decide what we want and while we were ready to order and making it obvious by staring at the employees waiting for them to notice, they were talking about Instagram posts and counting their tips in the tip jar. Hands down my favorite place to eat. I discovered this tiny spot and I can't stop bringing my friends. It's a cool concept you have a menu and you check off what you would like to order. The waitress takes it and comes back shortly with your order. The food is so good!! I recommend the general chicken and their white rice. Their ramen and lo mein are also amazing! They have options ranging from seafood, pork, and chicken. I'm an extremely picky eater and kindly asked the waitress to give me straight up plain lo mein.
