I went in for a ramen bowl. The staff was helpful and helped me make a choice. They had different broths with an option to spice it up - can have it on the side if you like to adjust yourself. The bowl was huge, the place was clean and hygienic. The fork/knives were wrapped to avoid any dust. They had a few choices for bubble tea, I got Thai iced tea and a mango refresher and it was goooood and refreshing. The food came out fairly quickly.
The dumplings were deep fried and not even hot. They would have been so much better if they were pan seared. They didn't look any like the posters. Very disappointed.
Decided to try this place since I was in the American dream mall and I was craving some boa buns and their boa buns were really yummy! I get nervous when trying new places and especially trying new places in food courts, but this place was great. I also tried their strawberry lemonade, which was pretty good. I just don't recommend getting any lime in it, but that's because I don't like lime, but besides that great experience! overall customer service was nice and the place looked nice and clean. Will be back next time I'm in the area.
Located on the 3rd level in the food court of the American Dream mall in East Rutherford, I've visited this establishment numerous times, especially when the weather calls for it. Today was one of those days where Pora Ramen came to the rescue after 2 years. Besides the star of the show being ramen, they also have rice bowls, Korean fried chicken, gyozas, buns, and boba tea. I decided on the Tonkotsu Ramen, which is a pork bone broth ramen. It is accompanied by slices of King Trumpet-style mushrooms, bean sprouts, scallions, and pieces of chashu. The ramen eggs (Ajitsuke Tamago) are done perfectly. The broth wasn't too heavy or overly salty. The pork has the mixture of fat/meat that was tender and tasty. The noodles were cooked well using fresh ingredients. The price was reasonable and made my stomach satisfied. The staff is friendly. I continue to recommend this.
I stopped by this place to try Ramen. I ordered a bubble tea for my daughter and I place the order of Ramen for myself. I picked the one in the picture to make it easier. They told me that it was spicy, so I asked him if he could make it less spicy so he say yes, and I don't think I sacrifice much on the flavor. It was very good. I enjoy it. The only thing that I believe at the wrong is that I left the egg in the soup for two long and I ended up mixing it and I didn't like the flavor after work of the soup but otherwise it was quick and they have a sitting area where you could just wait for your order. They don't have no seats just a sitting area.

Ramen was very close to Nissin you get at grocery for $4 with added egg, pork, and few vegi garnishes. Not the same as when they opened. Price went up too.
The vegetable ramen was really good, but the taro bubble tea cup cracked and spilled everywhere. I took a picture and went back to the PORA FOODS to show the plastic cup tore open. I asked one of the guys in the back for a clean tray and showed him the picture of what happened. He gave me the tray but then went "that's it". That was a little weird, but I took the tray and grabbed more napkins to clean up. This would have been a 5-star rating had that not happened. I'd be back again because the ramen is good, but I'm very apprehensive to get one of their bubble teas or drinks with cellophane covers ever again. What a mess and wasted money!
We parked at lot D, so Pora Ramen is at the far end of the food court. We had to get past a mass of people... But if you come from lot A, I guess it would be the 1st few stalls. Order and wait, the wait was awkward as I was constantly in people's way no matter where I moved... but that is how food courts are... I kind of wish the order and pickup stations were reversed. You would then be able to wait in a larger area. I ordered: Mango Jasmine Tea - delicious, just a tad too sweet for me. I would have liked to be able to say how much sugar I wanted. More, as is, or less Black Tonkotsu Ramen - the broth is good. The egg was delicious. The pork was tender and tasty. My only complaint is that the broth did not stick to the noodle that well to pick up the flavor, so it was bland until I scope a spoonful of soup. I think the noodles were too straight, it needed some waves I wouldn't come all the way to American Dreams for the Ramen, but if I was there already, I might give something else a try.

My daughter asked for no corn on hers and they obliged. There were a lot of people but the order came out fairly quickly.
This restaurant is located in the American Dream Mall, up on the third floor with the Coca-Cola food court. I tried the miso ramen, black tonkatsu ramen, and an order of the six-piece gyoza. First, the six-piece gyoza had a nice thin skin but unfortunately was cooked by deep frying the whole dumpling, which was disappointing if crispy. The meat on the inside was okay but I think this would have done much better pan-fried. The miso ramen had corn and black mushrooms and plenty of green scallions, but the miso was weak and lacked strength of flavor. Noodles were reasonable, though. The pork was okay, not quite fall apart in the mouth but definitely moist and fatty. The half egg was done properly, soft-boiled. The black tonkatsu ramen had the black garlic sauce and again a weak miso base, so you had the bitterness from the black garlic sauce but not much else. Noodles on this one were also a thin versus the regular yellow ramen noodles which would have made it better. Pork here was the same as in the miso ramen. The half egg here was also done properly. They also have a number of drinks you can order, and the pickup area has chopsticks and spoons and forks for you to pick up on your own depending on what you need. Large bowls were made out of paper so easy to discard. Overall I've had better ramen and gyoza, so I'll likely skip this next time.
Possibly the best mall foodcourt ramen I've ever had!! I was so surprise of how tasty the ramen was, the fried garlic pieces added more flavor to the broth. I ordered a spicy tonkotsu ramen without scallions, spicy Korean chicken for app and a matcha latte with cheese foam. Service was quick, you order and pay at the counter. You will get a number and pick up your food when it's called. I enjoyed my ramen very much. I wish the Korean chicken was crispy, it was drowned in sauce. Skip the matcha latte, it was on a saltier side. There's no seating at the counter since it's inside a mall foodcourt. There's plenty of tables and chairs in the middle of the foodcourt. I would definitely come back next town I'm in town.
Not bad at all for "mall food". The ramen was chewy and tasty. My son loved it. He also ate 2 dumplings as the afternoon snack considering that he had 4 dumplings at home for lunch. The strawberry lemonade was refreshing.

Great place for a piping hot big bowl of ramen noodles. They have flavors like curry, spicy, black and regular tonkotsu, spicy and regular miso, and veggie. They also sell dried chicken, stir fry's and dumplings. Opted for their veggie ramen. Broth was flavorful but not too salty. Noodles were cooked well but still had a good texture and chew. Topped generously with bean sprouts, scallions, corn, half a hard boiled egg and cabbage. Was filling and satisfying to accompany a good day of shopping. read more
I have been meaning to try Pora Ramen at American Dream for a while. The dishes on the outside looked delicious. The ramen did not take long to be ready. There is a long bench inside where you can wait for your food. The area looked clean. I got the curry ramen. I did not find it to be spicy at all. It comes with pork, green onions, bean sprouts, egg, corn. I would say that this is average for a food court meal. I would have liked more flavor and spicy but the warm broth was perfect for a cold day. read more

TLDR: Food court ramen is a coin flip. This place leans toward good, but I won't actively look for it, even if I'm in the area. Black Tonkotsu Ramen: I think the thing I liked the most about this it is the noodle. It's firm but chewy and you get a respectable amount of it. The egg had a bit of a green band, but I'm not gonna complain about it. The broth is different from most black tonkotsu ramens that I've had, but it's not amazing. The chashu was the 2nd best thing in the bowl. It may not have tasted different from your everyday ramen, but there is something nice about doing the basics well. Generally, this is good enough to try. Service: I ordered by tablet. Paid on the card reader attached to the tablet. Got my food 10 minutes later. Not much service to talk about. Ambiance: The store looked nice. You're there to order and get your food. You dine in the many available tables in the dining area. read more

I decided to give this place a try after seeing there were no good options at American Dream and the aroma coming from here had the whole food court smelling delicious. I used one of the 2 touch pads to order my meal, there is a also a person at the register of you enjoy talking to a human, haha. I ordered the miso ramen and black milk tea with cheese cream no boba, or sugar cookie topping. 1. The milk tea was darker then I am used too, so expected a strong tea taste, but no. There was a very dark thick substance at the bottom, and honestly I was nervous to stick my straw all the way down to taste, unfortunately at one point I did and got a mouthful of a thick, super sweet substance. Note to self, next time ask them to skip that part. 2. The ramen. Hold up, this is mall food court food? Wow! I am highly impressed. The flavor of the broth was phenomenal, the noodles al dente,the pork soft and melted in my mouth, the egg was perfectly cooked too. I thought this was delicious and now see why half of the food court was eating from there as well. I even went back to tell the owner how good the food was. Glad I'm only 9 mins from the mall, will be back for more and to try the Korean fried chicken as well. read more

I went to pora foods to try their ramen. I used the self-service machine to order spicy tonkotsu-Pork broth | bean sprouts | green onions | mushrooms | boiled egg | noodles | 2-3 slices of pork meat (Chashu) | spicy paste for a little kick with extra corn. The machine was easy to use. When my order was ready, they called my number and my number appeared on the machine. I did not have to wait very long. The broth was very flavorful and it was a great portion. I would definitely come back here again and try their other dishes. read more

Surprisingly scrumptious for Mall food. The home made ramen dishes were flavorful and ingredients appeared to be fresh. The bowls were a little big for the portions they provided. The fried chicken was tender inside, crispy on the outside and delicious. The korean fried chicken portions were plentiful and topped with scallions and dripping with a power packed soy garlic sauce. I can't wait to have the fried chicken again! The gyoza was fried perfectly and pleasingly stuffed. Will definitely return for more'a Pora! read more
Thee worst ramen I've ever had. so bland and flavorless. Granted, I did order vegetable because I'm plant based. I ate this on an empty stomach so my palate was unaltered. It tastes like water but worse. I asked if it was soy free and he said yes and went on to say there's tofu. .. I hope the broth doesn't have soy. Save your money and appetite for someplace else if you want ramen. Not even homemade chili oil could salvage the dish. The workers were polite and the boba tea was ok. This Ramen store in fourth floor of American Dream Mall food court area. Their Ramen seemed okay to me, the brothe was very blend. The sweet and spicy boneless chicken tasted fine too, but wasn't blown away by it. I did like the mango Jasmine tea, probably the best item among everything we ordered. read more
The food was delicious! The matcha boba was perfect (I did order it less sweet and less ice and it was still sweet and yummy). The cheese balls were really yummy. They had a chewy consistency in the inside which was different but good! read more
Located inside the American Dream Mall, the aroma of this place (through my mask too) as I was going up the escalator on the way to the food court drew me in. Portion size and prices were reasonable as well. I ordered their Spicy Tonkotsu ramen and I thought it was pretty delicious. Not too spicy, a small kick to it. I felt like they could've probably made the roast pork a little more charred. I ordered a mango Jasmine tea, and I thought it was delicious. I can definitely taste the jasmine tea and I like that they added some thyme leaves which helps elevate the taste. Definitely does not taste superficial. They also have a boba shop where you can order other delicious drinks like Thai tea/slush, matcha lattes/slush, mango smoothies, brown sugar boba latte, etc... List goes on. I also ordered their Korean Fried Chicken - they're boneless and the pieces are big! They are on the drier side though because of the white meat, but overall, still delicious. Gyoza was mediocre. I can say this is definitely one of my favorite food places in the mall and I cannot wait to try more delicious meals from them! read more

Everyone was extremely nice! Service was fast and efficient. We ordered at the touch computer and then they called our number when the food was ready. The spicy ramen was not spicy at all but did taste good. The rice and chicken bowl was lacking. The chicken could have used some sauce, and the rice was plain as well. The buns were ok. The strawberry jasmine was on the sweeter side for a tea but was good. The strawberry lemonade was ok. read more

I came here when I visited the American Dream mall. The ramen place is inside the food court, and you can either dine in the food court or takeout. There are contact-less machines that you can order your ramen from, and it will give you a number to be called on when your order is ready. The staff are very friendly and wear masks/gloves to be COVID-19 safe. I got the miso ramen, pork buns, and brown sugar bubble tea. The miso ramen was very delicious and extremely filling. It comes with meat, egg, and some vegetables. The broth was flavorful and the noodles were the perfect consistency. The price of the ramen is average and similar to other ramen places. The pork buns were my absolute favorite! I love the sauce that goes along with the pork and how the pork was cooked. The bun, lettuce, sauce, and pork all complemented one another. Last but not least, the brown sugar bubble tea. They have a lot of bubble tea flavors to choose from. The brown sugar milk tea was very good! I personally like it more than other brown sugar milk teas that I have tried in other places. It is sweet, but not as sweet as other cafes. Their bubbles are on the softer end and not as firm. Not my favorite, but not the worst. Overall, I really liked this ramen place! Definitely check it out if you are in the area or at the mall shopping. They have vegetarian options as well! I know that I will be back to get more of those pork buns. read more
I had the vegetable ramen and it was really good. Not as oily as the miso ramen, but the miso ramen also had two big pieces of pork on it. The vegetable ramen had a lot of flavor to it and was a decent size portion. I was really surprised by how light the soup base felt, usually the feeling of the oily soup lingers but that wasn't the case. I enjoyed the interior of the location. It also has bubble tea which I'm excited to try the next time I'm here. read more

Ordered Black Tonkotsu Ramen, Vegetable Gyoza and Strawberry Lemonade. Ramen: Soup is not heavy (and I don't mind having less heavy soup). Very little toppings compared to other ramen places for the same price too. I do like how they use black fungus (aka wood ear mushrooms). The char sui isn't too salty, just normal, can't say if there's anything special about it. I think they used two type of oil for black tonkotsu ramen but what i dislike is there's too much of the white oil instead of the black oil. Gyoza: apparently the menu show that the vegetable gyoza is green, when we got it , we asked if this the vegetable gyoza since it's not green. The person giving out the order isn't nice about it, it's just an attitude problem, like doesn't want to answer our question. I mean you can simply say the green gyoza is out of stock and we another type for now due to inventory problems from the wholesalers but instead he's like arguing with me while I'm just asking if this is the veg gyoza. It's not like it's super busy and can't answer me. Also this isn't gyoza.every country have their own version of dumplings, but the one I got is the Korean mandu with glass noodles inside. Strawberry Lemonade: taste like normal lemonade to me. Can't really taste the strawberry. Had better one. The staff making the drink have a little attitude also cus she just dump the drink on my tray. Maybe having a bad day ? Overall, I honestly don't recommend having ramen here if the price is like the same as other better quality ramen restaurants. Give it a shot if you don't mind getting random stuff without explanation. The cash register lady was nice. read more

Was in the food court and randomly stumbled upon this gem. Im not a fan of meat flavored broths so I opted for the vegetable ramen and I added pork to it. Surprisingly the broth was super flavorful and delicious. Definitely not what expected. Noodles were soft and chewy, it had tofu, arugula, corn, scallions, and red onion. Will absolutely order this again but I will try it with chicken next time. The added extra pork was only one piece which is sad. Also ordered the gyoza, it was crispy and panfried, delicious. Last but not least I got the mango jasmine bubble tea. It looked like they added pieces of fresh thyme herbs in there which added to a nice look and pieces of real mango, very little bubbles, next time I will add more. But overall I will definitely have this place again, its nice to have a fancier option in the mall. read more
pretty good ramen in a mall, good for sharing. My friends and I ordered from different shops and this came out on the top out of everything we tried (jollibee, mr. mian, ichi jap). We got the regular Tonkotsu and black Tonkotsu for sharing and those were good, black was more flavorful. I'll be back to try some spicy ones next time when I'm here. Drinks are skippable, my friends tried the black sugar bubble tea and smoothie (tasted like Jamba Juice) and both were way too sweet. read more
GET THE BUBBLE TEA. I got the brown sugar bubble tea and it was the best thing in the world. Very sweet so be wary but if you have a sweet tooth get ready for the best drink ever. I also got the pork with rice. Came with corn and a boiled egg. It was good. For me I was able to make two meals out of it based on portion size so it has a nice amount. I also was able to try one of the pork belly buns. It was shredded pork which was interesting. It was good as well. Definitely check out this place! read more

I was very excited to try this place!! The line was long but luckily, there were self-service machines that makes the wait much easier. I got the Korean fried chicken and two ramens. I believe the ramens were tonkotsu and black tonkotsu but couldn't remember. Overall, the ramens were delicious. The broth was flavorful and for the price, it's decent, especially at the mall. I enjoyed the ramen over the Korean wings. read more
