A superhero needs to come and save these sandwiches. K-Town Hero is one of the newest stalls to open next to H Mart inside the 2nd largest mall in America. With so many food options my sister wanted to try this place. The sandwiches are created by a Michelin Korean chef, Hooni Kim. All I can say is that both my sister and I were very disappointed. My sister got their popular bulgogi and I opted for their mushroom. Our assessment of the sandwiches is a 4/10. We didn't care for the slightly spicy orange dressing on the sandwiches. There were two types of mushrooms in mine. I was surprised that they used huge button mushrooms. Sure it's meaty but button mushrooms usually lack flavor. Come on, Chef Kim, I expected shiitake instead. My sister let me have some of her kimchi fries. I tried one and didn't want anymore. And this is coming from a huge French fry kind of gal. Don't understand the rave reviews.

To start, they give each person 4 different banchan plates - kimchi, seaweed, pickled daikon, and soy bean sprouts. It was nice that we each had our individual set. For food, we decided to each order something different, so we could try a little bit of everything. We had: -Japchae - this was a HUGE portion. But, it was a bit too salty. The flavor was good though. They also jam pack it with lots of veggies and beef. I would recommend it but maybe just ask for less salt, if possible. -Beef bibimbap (hot) - not bad but I've had better -Soon tofu with seafood - this was pretty good but it was pretty hot that day so I wasn't really in the mood for a hot bubbling stew Overall, it wasn't bad. It has a smaller menu than most typical Korean restaurants - but that could be a good thing, if you're an indecisive person. I probably won't be back anytime soon since there are so many Korean restaurants nearby (especially Pal Park) that I need to try first. Tip - there is free street parking

A few of us had been talking about trying it for a while, and it totally lived up to the hype. The vibe inside was welcoming and comfortable, and the whole hot pot experience made lunch feel like something fun and different instead of just a quick meal. We picked a broth and then ordered a bunch of meats, vegetables, and noodles to share. Everything tasted really fresh, and the broth was full of flavor from the start and got even better as we kept cooking. It's the kind of place where you end up trying a little bit of everything, and it's perfect for a group because everyone can customize their own bites. We also appreciated that it didn't feel rushed, even though it was lunchtime. Service was great too. The staff was friendly, checked on us often enough without hovering, and helped explain options for anyone who hadn't done hot pot before. That made a big difference, especially with a bigger group. By the time we finished, we were already talking about coming back. I definitely plan to return soon with my family, and I can also see myself bringing a few colleagues here as well. It's a great spot for catching up, doing a casual group lunch, or just getting a really satisfying meal.

It's literally about 100.00 cheaper in the West Coast for the same amount.

The mall DOES get crazy crowded on Saturday evenings, so can imagine the same happening in the H Mart Food Hall as well during peak lunch and dinner dining times.

I will warn that the batter is a bit thick so I heavily advise you eat over the container so it doesn't drop off the stick and onto the floor. The hotdog or sausage they used tasted better than the cheese too (in my opinion). And I love that right outside there is a plethora of sauces you can drizzle on top! Ordering was done via a self service kiosk too and then you took a little buzzer that went off when your order was ready which was cute.

I thought a small order would only have 8 pieces, like wings normally would but it was massive. So essentially, our order was the equivalent of four small orders for two people but it was SO much chicken. We ordered way too much because I underestimated how big one order would be (but I'm not complaining)! We had leftovers for days so needless to say, I was sick of Korean fried chicken by the end of it. I really liked the spicy soy garlic but didn't love the sweet and spicy. It's really heavy on the honey, if you're into that. The chicken comes with a side of pickled daikon cubes. Next time, I'd like to see what the cheese snowing chicken is all about. Plus they're other non-fried chicken dishes look pretty good and are reasonably priced as well. Overall, it's a good bang for your buck!!
