The decor and theming of the restaurant is cute and the best part. The service was hit or miss. I came in with a large group and we were seated right away. She took our order quickly, but we waited quite some time to get our drinks and food. Our drinks came at the same time as the food, so we sat there for quite a while without even water at the table. I also found it odd that the water cups were styrofoam...just a bit inconsistent. Also not all the members of the group enjoyed their food. One of the plates was completely cold. Not sure I would go back. read more

The space is soo cute, love the building itself, beautiful stain glass windows. Only ordered 2 strawberry matcha, 1 had oat milk, bc we have a dairy intolerance, they still added whipped cream to the top of it, we asked if they remove the whipped cream, the gal just took a napkin to it, tossed it out, added more milk. Didn't offer to remake it. We took it and moved on. The matcha was very good at least! The staff could use some work. There was NO even simple apology, or even acknowledgment. Even walking into the shop, no acknowledgment, or welcoming/greeting. We gotta train people for customer service, being attentive, knowing what they are selling and how it can be made. The cashier was not friendly or welcoming at all. read more

I'm somewhat torn on this because the food was pretty good but service was very inconsistent. We had a group and we were quickly greeted and we got a table pretty quickly though it was prime brunch time. The menu is extensive with plenty of options and the space is very welcoming (though not very large). Our server came and we ordered drinks but then didn't come back for a while. We finally ordered but when food and drinks started coming, the timing was all over the place. Two meals didn't come until at least 20 min after the rest and the majority of us were done eating by this time. The one meal that took the longest was a side of scrambled eggs! The quickest thing to make out of all of our orders. Price wise, the spot was reasonable but with the service I'm not sure how fast we'll be back. read more

Cute place! Loved the atmosphere. Service was friendly. Food was delicious! Loved the churro French toast! It had banana, crunchy cinnamon roll cereal and fabulous whipped cream on top. The omelet veggies were tasty! I enjoyed the pomegranate iced tea but thought it was a little pricey. The coffee drinks were fancy with lots of options. My family enjoyed the skillet and churro pancakes, too. Definitely will return. read more

Oh em gee. The cutest cafe in riverside! So quaint and elegant. I thought the establishment was pretty large in sizing especially to fit large groups. Our server was quick and efficient. The food arrived in a reasonable time frame as well. My friend and I ordered the Egg Omelette Breakfast and the Spinach & mushroom crepe. I also indulged in a chai latte. They were so sweet to do the design in cinnamon. I like the omelette but it lacked seasoning. No salt or pepper was added. It's massive so you will depart well fed. The side of potatoes were alright. Should've been crispier with a kick of heat. I felt the food was bland. My friend enjoyed the crepe. As a savory not sweet, he said it held up really well for itself and the side of pasta salad was fresh. I think their chai lattes are really good and huge in size for the price. I will be returning to try their hot chocolate items and another breakfast meal. read more

I'm all about the sweets life and even the cold rainy weather didn't stop me from fulfilling my life's passion. I was able to find free street parking across the street and could choose to either place an order at the kiosk or with the cafe employee. I ordered the Santa Claus hot cocoa which came with a waffle twill, marshmallows and whip cream and a sweet milk crepe that was filled with cream cheese, fresh strawberries and drizzled with condensed milk. The crepe was massive! I had to take half of it home to enjoy for breakfast the next morning. The cafe had two rooms which was decorated very cutesy, very demure. Can't wait to come back to try the cold blended drinks when it gets warmer out. read more

We came here this morning to this location. We had been to other locations. This one seems very special. It's in a very pretty area. We really enjoyed the food and the service. We also enjoyed that it opens early, as we tend to be early birds, eating breakfast and then going and doing our errands. Great spot - all of their locations are really nice ! read more

This place is horrible. Worst service ever, super slow they don't even know their own menu, I wanted to get Ice latte coffee just to try something different so I went to the drive through thinking I was gona be in and out for just ice coffee. It took someone to come to the speaker 10 mins, i was asking questions she didn't know so i just ordered basic iced caramel latte, i pulled up was taking forever so decided to just walk in , I still waited about 35 mins and the coffee looked disgusting was just black I asked for Some Creamer, i finally tasted it in the car and it was so disgusting I ended throwing it out..This took 45-50 minutes for disgusting coffee that made me miss my car appointment. I will never comeback here. read more

Dulce Mami Café Riverside - Ice Carmel "Latte" - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Riverside, Illinois

I had been wanting to visit Dulce Mami Cafe in Riverside for the longest time, so when a friend and I were making brunch plans one day, we decided to venture out to Dulce Mami. Our first impression was, "Wow, so pink and cute!". All the decor and vibes screamed "aesthetic, yet super family friendly/cozy' if that makes sense. For drinks, my friend ordered a cup of tea and I got a hot caramel latte. We agreed that both drinks were fine, nothing special. For her entree, my friend ordered the chicken and peppers crepe. She said it was very good and savory! I decided to order one of the combos; the house omelette with churro french toast. I enjoyed my omelette. It consisted of ham, cheese, spinach, jalapeno, avocado, mushroom, and green peppers. It was very filling for a half portion. However, the star of the show for me was the churro french toast. The french toast itself was cooked perfectly and topped with sliced banana, cinnamon, and cateja (similar to dulce de leche). My entree was the perfect balance of savory and sweet! Our waitress was very kind and patient. She answered any questions we had and always had a smile on her face. Dulce Mami is definitely worth trying out! read more

Food: impressive. Decided not to overdue it so oatmeal and fruit are on the menu for me. I will say that i expected oatmeal and strawberries, but they brought out a whole plethora of very fresh fruit inside the bowl of oatmeal, I was hooked! It's truly an instant favorite! Service: These young ladies ru nning the business are also a plus. They are kind and very accommodating to myself as well as my senior mom. They not only made us feel at home but very sweet with the menu and how they addressed a crowded room. I like that when workers are kind and just respectful to the patrons. Ambiance: The way the cafe is situated it made us feel as if we were in someone's dining room vs. a restaurant. That makes all the difference in the world. Just a quaint and sweet cafe. Also reminded me of the cafes in other countries. Paris or Mexico, perhaps? I'm not sure, but the soft spa is music playing in the background was pure perfection. I really like this cafe, and will be returning for sure. I rarely give 5's, but this was a breath of fresh air! read more

Huge portions. Great food. Great service. Atmosphere and decor very comfortable and sweet.

stopped in on a saturday morning around 10am. right across from the riverside metra station (burlington-northern), so an easy trip from the city or western burbs. the high ceiling dining room is bright, airy and spotless. the tables are comfortably spaced and they offer outdoor seating, but we chose to eat indoors with a/c and were seated right away. the atmosphere is casual and open with beautiful vintage stained glass in the dining room. the menu is available online with tabletop QR codes, but the servers also drop hard copies at the table. the offerings are eclectic with mexican specialties like chilaquiles (i strongly recommend them over easy with green salsa and topped with chicken tinga), as well as a variety of waffles, pancakes and other traditional latin american fare. the drinks are excellent and i highly recommend the iced mexican hot chocolate (omfg). the strawberry crepe was also delicious and comes piled with fresh strawberries and a scoop of strawberry ice cream, on the side. the service was excellent. very attentive and extra friendly. my wife and i are lactose intolerant and we forgot to order oat milk in our drinks, but the server was on top of it and asked if we wanted dairy or an alternative. great catch because i'd be paying for that miscue right about now... prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality & service. you might wait a few extra minutes for your food order because they seem to do a thriving carry-out business. there was a line at the self-serve kiosk to order drinks & breakfast to go. but there was no wait for a table. my wife plans to frequent dulce mami for the iced mexican hot chocolate and we've already added it to our list of favorite breakfast spots. we'll definitely be back with friends and family. we live nearby and will have to try them for dinner, soon. read more

We ate here twice for dinner. The location is right in the center of Riverside across from the train station. We enjoyed the meals both times. Just so you know: the crepes are buckwheat. I had the mushroom and spinach crepe for my first visit and a pasta with chicken dish the second time. Both were very generous servings. The young servers were very good. If you sit near the windows you have a good view of the passing trains, just in case there is a train enthusiast in your life! We will definitely go again. They also have ice cream and assorted pastries here, making it a good place for dessert. It is mainly a breakfast and lunch place with predominantly Mexican entrees, but we went for dinner and it was not crowded. I look forward to trying breakfast there. read more

Customer service. We love going here on weekends for breakfast but today everyone working had a bad attitude when i asked for toilet paper for the restroom so i could clean my daughter. I waited for 20 minutes before just asking a fellow customer for napkins of there table to clean her . As a regular here I'm super disappointed on how they acted as if I was asking for something free or difficult. The service was absolutely horrible - I came to the restaurant with my three grandchildren at 4:45pm on a Saturday (May 17) and were the only people seated in the restaurant. By the time we got our food (a pizza and two pasta dishes), at 5:45pm (and hour later), the restaurant was full and customers had received their food well before us. Other customers were approaching us and asking why we hadn't received our food yet. The server was nowhere to be found and no communication - just me and three hungry kids (10, 6 and 3 years old) for an hour before the food arrived. Never again - there are better places to go in and around Riverside with decent customer service. read more

I'd give zero stars if I could. Went in judt to get a lemonade. No one greeted me or even looked at me. Asked for help and was told that another employee would help me waited by the counter nothing. Asked a different employee who told me that someone else would help me. Waited..and again nothing. After 10 minutes I left. Horrible first impression and I would not even bother going back. I pass this place 2 times a day and it could easily be a daily stop on the way to work but I wouldn't go back. I'll go a bit out of ny way to a place that acknowledges it's customers. Wonderful new cafe! I'm very impressed. I've been in 3 times now, and each time, the service has been prompt and friendly, and the drinks and food have been delicious! And wow - what a large selection! From hot lattes and coffee drinks to cold smoothies and milkshakes, to sandwiches, salads, soups, paninis, burgers, crepes, pancakes, waffles, omelettes, there's a huge variety. I tried the Hawaiian panini and it was absolutely delicious! Ham, pineapple, lettuce, tomato, onion & avocado with a chipotle sauce. I like how they arranged the fried toast sandwich into a cute heart shape on the plate. And it was served with a nice little pasta salad on the side. I've tried their hot lattes two different ways. The "to go" way was great - tasted wonderful and was nice and hot. The "dine in" way was beautifully presented, with the rim of the cup dipped in chocolate sauce and a cinnamon dusting, and a cute cinnamon word "love" on the foam on top! I've also tried their iced latte (in a "to go" cup), and it's wonderful. Every bit as good as (if not better than) your mainstream coffee shop lattes! They've done an amazing job with the space too - maximizing the natural and historical beauty of this building. The decor, lighting and atmosphere is beautiful. And the whole place has a friendly, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. I love how they've organized the second room at the back with so many more tables to fit more people in. And they've created a cute space for toddlers to play in with baby gates surrounding a nice little play area. And there are lots of fun things on the menu for kids, including pancakes, waffles and a variety of fun sounding milkshakes, including "cookie monster", "bubble gum", "sweet pink", etc. And I'm so glad their hours are plentiful - being open from 8am - 9pm! They'll catch a good variety of people, for breakfast, lunch, dinner and coffees/snacks in between. I think they've done an amazing job creating a lovely cafe that will attract, serve and delight many people of Riverside, and even perhaps become a destination spot. I wish them all the best! read more

I rarely write reviews on Yelp...but I need y'all to know this: This place is beautiful. The decor is so feminine and fun, but the ambiance is very calming and makes for a great place to be productive and study. The chai latte...amazing. I'm not a chai snob, but I know a good one and this was it. I got it with the chocolate rim for the pic even tho I'm not big on sweet in my coffee, BUT the chocolate is not overpowering at all. It's the slightest touch of sweetness. The presentation was so cute and made me smile when I got it! The food was a 15/10. I got the chilequilas with the red sauce which the waitress said was the spiciest. As a spice lover, this was just right! The tortillas still had the perfect crunch to them even with all the sauce. There is so much flavor in the dish and I love how much chicken they give you so you have some in every bite. The staff is extremely kind. The woman taking care of me seems so genuinely appreciative of me being here and is happy to be helping me. You can tell they take great pride in what they do. Think I found my new fave coffee spot! read more
