My friend and I came here for brunch on Monday. We had a lovely time. We both ordered the avocado toast and split a classic sweet crepe. She ordered the Tinkerbell iced latte and I the iced vanilla late. Everything tasted well and was more than enough for the two of us. The atmosphere was cute, fun and our waiter was very nice and attentive. I'd love to come back!
Let's just get the not so great part out of the way: it seems as though the owners want to create a feeling of this being a more exclusive spot, but it comes off needless & pretentious at times. Every time we go in, we're asked if we have a reservation (big sighs if we don't - even if the place is nearly empty). We don't often reserve here because there is a nonrefundable fee of I believe $10 per person, and we've never had to wait more than a few minutes. Plus, the street is full of great food options we could just move on to if needed. Now, why DO we go back: we really love the food & drinks because they're a bit more fancy than we're going to make at home. We've enjoyed everything we've ordered here, items are unique, and the presentation is just lovely on food and drinks. The place is absolutely adorable whether you sit inside or outside (one of our guests described it as American Girl Cafe for grown ups with the fancy chandeliers & gold trim) Servers are usually incredibly nice, only a couple times have they been the opposite. Saw someone mentioned only 2 savory options - that may have been only 2 they considered, but there are several more savory choices, including vegetarian. They also have seasonal specials, with lots of options kids will love, too. I get the shrimp crepe almost every time - the tastes are incredible and while it looks like a light serving, I can never finish the whole thing. I also tried an old fashioned - vintage steam powered car presentation and all. It was a delightful, well balanced version of that drink. This is a place we often bring guests visiting us in OP because it's unique. Some other favorites from the menu: chicken tinga crepe, shredded steak crepe, then Cajeta y Nuez, pistachio sweet crepes, mocktails, & cold coffee drinks. Eventually, we'll try the non-crepe options, too. Overpriced? Yes, absolutely, but it's also a charming place on a busy corner location where it's fun to people watch while dining. Also knowing the cost going in, we're prepared for the bill.
Came to Crepas Culichi in Oak Park for brunch. The space itself is really pretty, with both indoor and outdoor dining, and an ambiance that feels very French provincial and upscale. Every detail, down to the cutlery, is very well thought out. Our drinks came with stickers, flowers, and glitter, which didn't quite match the atmosphere for me. The service was definitely the highlight, with everyone friendly, helpful, and on top of everything. Overall, it's a beautiful spot with great service.
Ambiance: Very nicely decorated, almost too nicely. This is an Instagram aesthetic-friendly heaven. Service: Decent. Food: average. Nothing was exceptional, but it tasted good enough. I didn't understand the menu though. It felt like there was no direction to the chef's vision. It was like a TGIF menu but for a brunch restaurant. But the prices are outrageous.
Their crepes are delicious. I opted for more of a dessert based crepe instead of something with ham or eggs. The restaurant looks like a fine dining establishment. The staff are friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. The pumpkin spice coffee was great. You also get a small sugar cookie with it. Just be careful using the bathroom. The door lock is broken so make sure to use the chain on the inside.
Such an adorable place with a pretty coquette vibe. The food is actually quite good although the dinner menu is a little all over the place, the alfredo chicken pizza was great & the crepe was enjoyable although very sweet. The drinks were good as well but a little pricy. For everything pictured the bill was around $120 with tip. The service was great as well & I definitely want to come back for brunch and see how the menu varies. No reservations!
Crepas Clulichi has a huge following for the aesthetic and I can definitely see why. Honestly, it's more of the reason to go to this place than the food itself. It's a huge attraction in Oak Park and brunch is walk-in only. Be prepared to wait a bit, but they are really strict about the 90 minute sit time for your table. All of the portions were pretty small and the food was fairly decent quality. I had the huevos divorcés and it was good, but I don't know if I'd get it again. Others at my table got crepes and they were still hungry after their portions. We also got French toast to share and that filled us all up. Nothing tasted particularly distinct outside of a chain restaurant. It's really that aesthetic that sets the place apart. Which is fine if that's your thing! Just adjust your expectations for the food. You're paying for the 90 min experience and to take a lot of photos. They only have oat & almond milk if you want to get a fun coffee drink, but I didn't let that stop me. It was a good coffee, but again, not for the prices.
Look even the bathrooms are pretty. That's the reason we ate here. It's gorgeous both in and out(see pics) and it's a Creperie. I mean what more can you ask for. IDK a water fountain next to our outdoor table and perfect weather - all check. The shrimp and the steak crepes are absolute must try. The shrimp sauce distills the essence of this shell fish - delicious! The steak is served mountain high, soft and perfectly cooked medium rare. The chorizo panini and the poblano crepe were fine. The pistachio crepes for desert look divine but tasted like a banana foster - not pistachio. The service here for the entire crew was attentive and professional without being stuffy. Oh the mango smoothie and the Oreo milkshake was amazing!
Crepas Culichi is a really aesthetically pleasing restaurant located in Oak Park. We really enjoyed the decor and theme all around. Servers were attentive and even ensured that the individual at our table with an egg allergy didn't have any in his meal. The follow up was super appreciated. Since we went for brunch, my husband chose the Fajita Trio Crepe and I got the veggie crepe with an egg added plus a side of bacon. The food overall was really good and would definitely try other crepes - both savory and sweet! In terms of drinks, I got the lavender mimosa which was unique and quite good. Our friends got the Unicorn's Glacé and the La Bete Old Fashioned. The first drink wasn't super great. We all tried it and it kind of missed the mark. But the glass itself was really cool to hold! The Old Fashioned was pretty standard which is always a good thing. My husband got a beer that he enjoyed. Overall, it was a lovely brunch date and there are definitely things I'd love to come back and try!
While I have been here for crepes in the past, my most recent experience was with a girl group right before seeing a late night movie. We popped in after dinner for a drink at the beautiful and extensive bar! Some of us got delicious fresh-brewed espresso martinis and the others got some iced and hot lattes - all were very delicious with one friend saying she would walk there for coffee every morning if she lived close by :) the servers were so friendly and engaging and we all had a lovely time.
Food is pretty decent. Go here when you want a photo op with beautifully themed backgrounds. Coffee? Tea? Mmmm, not the best. Service is kind. Again, very cute ambiance, fun and creative drinks, specials, if you are into the show of a tea time type vibe. I am way more simple, focused on taste and not show. Not many simple or classic choices to choose from. But again, very cute place.
What a wonderful brunch! We had the Savory Culichi Crêpe with avocado and the Chicken Crêpe with a mocha cappuccino. All were outstanding. And large portions! Arturo did a great job. He even had the loud dance music turned down when he could not hear me ordering. We will return again soon!
I absolutely cannot believe that I didn't spend hours constructing this review because Crepas Culichi wasn't just a culinary delight, it was an experience in and of itself. The lattes were rich and robust, and my husband's hot chocolate was sweet and luscious! I ordered a savory poblano crepe and added shrimp - it was delicious - while my husband ordered a sweet one. The ambiance can be described as nothing other than...REGAL. Just grand, and beautiful - you feel like you're surrounded by luxury. Even the hot sauce is dispensed in these cute glass bottles. And the service matches the regality - everyone is super attentive! Love this and we will be back - not just for the ambiance but also for the food. read more
Located in Oak Park, this boutique restaurant is decorated with care and detail. It is appointed with gold and bronze finishes, shiny mirrors, fiberglass egg toothpick dispenser,bunny statues, clean tables, and tasty food. The bar is fast and furious with milk shakes, drinks, and juices. I had to enjoy the chicken crepe shaped like a pie. I want to come back. The Cafe is decorated every month with a theme. What a wonderful brunch! We had the Savory Culichi Crêpe with avocado and the Chicken Crêpe with a mocha cappuccino. All were outstanding. And large portions! Arturo did a great job. I pass by few times , so i try the march menu pistacho cappuccino and pozolito verrde was pretty good i like to see the chef or line cook lady's working on kitchens , food was good service awesome i be back to try the crepas someday read more
Was here for a bridal shower. Super cute place! Loved the quaint decor and all the food was delicious, we had crepes, sandwiches and salad. It was all so filling. Cafe drinks were good, cocktails were a bit too sweet for me, otherwise everything else was great. Highly recommend checking them out. Parking is tough here, there is street parking and a garage about a block away. Servers were fast and efficient. read more
This restaurant is really beautifully decorated and uses adorable plates/cutlery, but the food is quite lacking. We had the proscuitto pizza and chilaquiles. On a previous trip, I tried the chicken tinga crepe. The crepe was tasty, but very small and smothered in sauce. The pizza is honestly quite similar to box pizza and the chilaquiles came out lukewarm, soggy and flavorless. The accompanying hashbrowns also didn't really have any salt. The drinks are very cute and well decorated, but absurdly expensive. It feels almost like a gimmick. The main appeal is mostly in taking cute photos (which is totally fine if that's what you want) rather than the actual food. read more
A very cute place. We had our reservation which was set for 90 minutes. We ordered our coffee and it took a long time to receive them, over 30 minutes. Then we ordered and our food came out more quicker. Upon finishing we also ordered crepas but were told our table limit is approaching which is just so so because we literally had food still coming which on them.... Not us. I, absolutely, would not return. If you have ANY dietary restrictions or food allergies, be very cautious! I've been plant-based, eating a vegan diet, for 9 years, and they brought me a crepe with chicken! I took a bite and knew it was chicken. I checked the menu ingredients of the "veggie crepe" to make sure that this couldn't possibly be a plant-based chicken; it's to have veggies only. I ordered the "Veggie Crepe" and my companion ordered the "Poblana Crepe"; both of these crepes are listed as vegan on their "vegan/gluten free" menu. When the food was brought out, the runner said "veggie crepe" and sat the plate in front of me and then said "poblana" and sat the plate in front of my companion. Mine turned out to be the chicken crepe and my companion's turned out to be the veggie. I waved down, who I assumed to be the host/greeter, because he was nearest when I figured I had bitten into chicken. I told him what was going on and it didn't seem like he got the gravity of the situation. It seemed like a minor thing to him. The waitress was nice and apologized; she said she had put in the correct order. I don't understand how such a thing could happen. When we were paying the bill; they acted as if they were doing a great service by removing the charge for the chicken crepe from the bill! We weren't paying for that in the first place! Neither of us eat meat or ordered it! Something else I noticed; the menu is very misleading. On the regular menu, the "Veggie Crepe" has dairy, but the same named "Veggie Crepe" is on the vegan menu with vegan cheese. So you could order the veggie and get dairy or vegan cheese without knowing, if you don't look at the regular menu. Also, they have the gluten-free and vegan items grouped in a separate menu together, which can be confusing, it almost suggests that the items are both gluten free and vegan. These should be two separate sections. I asked for the manager, who was the same person that greeted us, Jesus. I told him everything about the menu as mentioned above. The restaurant was absolutely negligent and didn't seem to sincerely care that the messed up big time! read more
Crepes Culichi's dedication to a stylish and cute aesthetic when it comes to their food and drinks is truly unrivaled. Every drink you order will be a visual delight and be shockingly delicious. Even the lemonade my friend ordered came with a gigantic snowman shaped ice cube. This is the perfect place if you have a major sweet tooth. We tried out their food menu and I will admit that things are a bit pricey in general, but my crepe was delicious and, with some slices of pizza, I was totally full. Alongside the presentation, Crepas Culichi can be a really fun meal if you want to have a special treat. I would HIGHLY recommend you join the waitlist on the website to save yourself some time. My husband and I came on a late brunch date and loved the service and the food. My first time here and we arrived close to 2pm. We were able to be seated right away as the location wasn't as crowded. We were able to order our drinks and received them promptly. The wait for the food is what you would expect and it wasn't rushed. You can tell the chefs take pride of their work and made everything look and taste fantastic. This is a location I would be coming back to try out other dishes. Also, the vibe here is very posh/coquette and perfect for a date or girls day. read more

Terrible staff, management, and overall experience. My boyfriend and I ordered a lot of food about six different items so this was not a case of us trying to avoid paying. When I ordered the macaroni and took one small bite, I immediately knew I didn't like it. I politely told my server I was unhappy with the dish. Instead of handling it professionally, the manager (a female) came over and asked me if I "knew how to read," saying I should have known by the menu. You can't *taste* a menu. They then told me that if I didn't pay for it, it would come out of the server's paycheck, which felt like a lie meant to pressure me. All of this over a macaroni dish. No replacement was offered, it was not taken off the bill, and no accommodation was made. After I clearly said multiple times that I did not want it, the manager told me to "take it home." That comment, especially after repeatedly explaining I didn't like the food, felt humiliating and embarrassing and honestly almost made me cry. It was said in a way that made me feel uncomfortable and belittled in front of others. They eventually took the dish away but still did nothing to make it better read more

Wow very cute, chic and elegant for celebrating a girl day out or on a date the food is excellent. The drinks magnificent and extremely cute decorated, best cappuccino I ever had in my life light to the taste and sweeten to perfection. Our waiter was Alexis very attentive and helpful he suggested some of his favorites and it was no disappointment at all. All staff extremely friendly I had a wonderful birthday celebration Eating the best Crepa in my life I give crepas Culichi 10 stars The chilaquiles with steak cook to perfection the steak so tender and juicy yum I will come back one day with my granddaughter read more
Me and a girlfriend came here for much needed girl time + a good cheat meal haha She resides in Oak Park and had been hearing a lot of hype about this place and it was actually my first time hearing about it but when I researched the menu, I was super intrigued. I attempted to get a reservation on a Saturday morning but nothing was available (this was days before), so we just decided to do a walk up being it was just us 2 and we managed to get a table for 2 seated outside. Luckily we went before it started to get cold and I will add that inside was very packed so this place is still hyped up The menu was interesting and I honestly didn't know what to choose from. My friend got a panini that seemed to be VERY bready and not enough meat. I got the huevos divorcee (both green) and they were light but delicious (light cause I went w no meat). I really enjoyed their salsa verde! Me and her both got specialty lattes (special only cause of the colored whip + toppings). She got a vanilla & I got a chai. I thoroughly enjoyed mine but I know hers was OVERLY coffee tasting so it wasn't to her liking. We decided to share a crepe which I was super excited about but if I'm being honest... it was just okay. The oreo mousse inside was melting and running so the crepe just felt flat and empty with an overload of oreos on top. It lacked so much and that was disappointing. But first coffee. Such a cute coffee cafe in Oak Park....and I don't even drink coffee. Perfect place for brunch on a beautiful sunny day on a long holiday weekend with family and friends. Sat outside to soak in some of that valuable summer sunshine. Started with coffees and a chai tea latte. Each one was so cute and so unique. My chai tea latte was served in a crystal glass decorated with flowers and cutout cinnamon heart crisp. Love the stencil on my hubby's cafe au lait. But first coffee. The French toast covered with fresh berries was delicious as was the veggie crepe. But the breakfast board was so adorable. The heart shaped breakfast board was plenty for two or more to share. Mini everything that you can imagine. Mini waffles. Mini pancakes. Mini confetti frosted pop tarts. A mini maple syrup bottle. A mini jar of strawberry jam. A pink heart macaron. Two mini heart ceramic dishes. One filled with vanilla yogurt with granola. The other with Nutella and teddy grahams. Add juicy sliced strawberries and blackberries. A delicious treat to start the day. May have to try making this one at home. Check out the cute interior as well. It has a bit of Bridgerton vibes. Street parking is available or the garage across the street in just $2 for 2 hours. A bargain in Chicago. Definitely a great place for a beautiful and delicious Sunday brunch with family or friends. read more

Crepas Culichi is an upscale cafe that added food to their oak park location. I'll preface by saying their food and drinks are for a vibe not an experience. Don't have high expectations for the flavor, texture or seasoning. Your feelings will get hurt. Service is great as there is a ton of staff, they're nice, honest and knowledgeable. So customer service is a 5/5. Wait times are reasonable even during their busy/ peak moments. Portion sizes are moderate for the $13-17 dishes. I ordered the Culichi Panini and it was filling but 1) there could've been more meat, 2) they could've spaced out the meat and not just dumped it in one area and 3) the chicken could've been juicier. It was dry - I am thankful for the spicy chipotle mayo that was added. The toast was incredibly crunchy which was nice at first but then cut the roof of the inside of my mouth. The latte I ordered didn't have a single lick of vanilla inside and it was supposed to be. I might as well have ordered a coffee black and straight. In my honest opinion it's overrated and the quality could stand to be better for the pricing of items. The edible glitter and sprinkles aren't cutting it. read more
Loooooooove this place! It's so freaking cute inside. The shredded beef crepe is really really good. I tried a savory crepe a few years ago elsewhere and was not a fan but tried a bite of the shredded beef at culichi and WOW. When it's done right it's done good! The salsa here are tasty as well. Loved the salsa on the huevos divorcee. The sweet crepe are also good. The coffees. Ugh get the pistachio, it's amazing!! Service it's quite fast. They don't take reservations for brunch but for a party of two for the two times I visited we wait no more than 10 or less mins. read more
We came here to meet a friend for lunch. We were automatically impressed by how nice the place is decorated and the specialty items like birthday crepes and cocktails with candy. However, we waited 15 minutes after being seated for service. We never saw our waiter again after she took our order. We also had to ask another waiter for our bill. The experience was not completely waisted as the food was good. The service could use a LOT of improvement. read more

Such a cute place with fun (yet expensive) drinks and delicious food. Le Fleur was a beautiful beet app. Stuffed Chicken was hearty, delicious and allowed me to be in the clean plate club - I devoured it. And the pistachio crepe was an amazing dessert. And did I mention the violinist added a Bridgerton flair! read more

Crepes Culichi is a feast for the eyes and the tastebuds. The decor is French Rococo - over the top but it works. The cocktail menu contains glammed up versions of popular drinks. I tried the beauty and the beast- it arrived with rose shaped ice cube in a coupe glass and the server poured the margarita over it. quite lovely. A little on the sweet side but delicious. My sister had the Pink Paloma, which arrived with a sugar rimmed glass and ice cubes that had flowers frozen into them. The tequila was in the glass, but a small bottle of pink grapefruit soda accompanied the glass and you could choose how much to put in with the tequila. I prefer a Paloma that uses real grapefruit juice, but it was still delicious. There are a host of typical menu, items like salads and sandwiches that you could select, but why? This is a crêpe place. The menu shows where the Mexican/French fusion really comes in. Many of the savory crêpes offered options that were heavily influenced by Mexican cuisine. 100% to all the magnificent menu, Big enough to take a decision, every think I asked took the fair time to be served and it was perfectly delicious Service was amazing since we entered, the hostess were happy, smiling and calm, the place was packed, but we requested the window, I honestly thought the hostess will be panicking but nope, he was super happy to do it for us, and he worked out, always with a beautiful smile, by the way the blue uniforms are really cute, color perfect for the occasion. Ambience, loved the music, 80's will be the best, but find myself singing and happy with all my girl friends. First time and I really enjoyed this place. The crepes were delicious. I loved the seasoning that came with the shrimp, but I think it was just the crepe and the shrimp on top so it would've been nice to have more ingredients in that. Can't go wrong with a strawberry and chocolate crepe. The bat'ini for the Halloween season was very nice. I love a glittery cocktail. The inside was super cute. Ambiance: the decor looks good from far away but get close and you notice the tackiness in the details. Food is mediocre at best with a confusing menu feel. I wasn't overly impressed by the pizza and the fettuccine was overdone. The cocktails were above average. Service was slow and we weren't sure why our waitress kept changing. read more
