We love MP Kitchen! We've been coming as a family for ages. Free parking in the back and plenty of street metered parking. Spacious dining room with plenty of seating. My three younger sisters and I visited for a sister breakfast. I love the variety of skillets and savory breakfasts, as I try to eat high protein. I got the Santa Fe chorizo skillet and it was super filling. My siblings enjoyed Nutella waffles which were super cute and decadent. Perfect for them! Service was super fast and they're always so sweet!

I had pancakes, potato pancakes, and bacon. Everything about it was amazing. The service was fast and efficient and the space was cute and excessively clean. I had one of the best meals and experiences I have had in a very long time. The food was cooked perfectly and intensely flavorful. A delight.

This is a great spot if you are looking for brunch or lunch food. Everything felt like it was homemade like a classic diner but alittle more upscale. The service was quick from when we sat down and the food came out fast as well. A ton of options so pick the first thing you can want or you'll keep back tracking to other options ha. Check it out for sure

The softest fluffiest eggs. I'm the kinda person that eggs make me queasy sometimes but these were so good.

One of my favorite diners in the area MPK as we call it is a family friendly classic. It's got everything you need in a hearty American diner- coffee, kind servers, and amazing food. A go to of mine is the Rueben. Never disappoints. I also get the eggs, ham, and hash brown plate, which for 8.50 and a side of pancakes is a pretty sweet deal. If you need a place to take out of town folks, you gotta stop by.

Stopped in for a quick work lunch. I was greeted and seated promptly. The vibe is old school dinner with checkered tablecloths and kitschy art work. The menu boasts a little of everything. Breakfast items include omelettes, crepes, and pancakes or waffles. The lunch menu includes salads, sandwiches, and burgers. I went with a panini and fries and was completely happy with my meal.

I came here for brunch with a dear friend to knock this place off my to go list. Upon arrival, we waited about 10 minutes for seating. The place was packed so we figured the food and ambiance and service had to be good. When we were sat, our sever gave us menus and time to decide - we settled on the Desparado skillet and the portobello Benny. Food: I would rate our dishes a 9/10. Only one point off because my friend said the bell peppers were too big and didn't add flavor to the dish. Service: our server was amazing and diligent. She took care of us and did it with a smile. The pricing of the dishes versus the sizing is top tier. You definitely can expect to get bang for your buck. If you're interested in family style, good food and southern hospitality, I would recommend this place for me. I'll definitely be returning.

Madison Park Kitchen feels like you're in a small town where everyone knows everyone. It's such a cozy and homey restaurant. We came here for breakfast and were excited about the variety of breakfast options. We ordered the potato benny, chicken and waffles, and biscuit and gravy. The potato benny was amazing. -The potato pancakes are crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. They are well seasoned and flavorful. The eggs were perfectly poached. I would highly recommend the potato benny. -They use chicken breast for the fried chicken and waffles, which my friend appreciated. He said it was the perfect balance between savory and sweet. - The country gravy is perfection. Probably the best country gravy in the Oak Park / Forest Park area! Our server was very attentive to our tables needs and provided coffee refills regularly. The prices are very reasonable and the food tastes amazing. There's free parking in the back! We will definitely be coming back here!!

I've been going here for a little while now, so I guess I can be considered a regular at this point. I'm writing this review now because I feel like their service and quality are high and consistent. I always love finding a great traditional American breakfast place I can frequent. On this trip, I had the country fried chicken with sausage gravy, eggs, pancakes, and grits on the side. The chicken was seasoned very nicely and perfectly cooked to keep it juicy and tender. Their sausage gravy is the best and closest I have had in Chicago, matching what I ate from my southern hometown. The grits and eggs were cooked appropriately as well. Finally, the pancakes were light and fluffy, and they are a side option for most meals on the menu. Other great menu choices are biscuits and gravy, skillets, and waffles. Overall, I will continue to frequent this establishment and can only advise others to do so as well.

Oh honey, take my money! I got served by Moni! Best service, great for groups. I saw one brother dining alone, dressed in a suit with large headphones plugged into a laptop. First visit but not the last stop. There was also a party of 4 silver headed women. And another party of 8 middle aged women. Indoor only, a few free parks in the back. Entering through the back is a vibe, very welcoming. Alcohol is served. On a Tuesday morning, I was able to snag a seat of my choice. Instantly offered coffee that stayed topped off without request. I did see one older gentleman , dining alone who had to ask for more (different waitress). But the coffee, it's GREAT! I only tried the standard house however they have specialty brews too. Something about the tiny mugs they are served in, just keeps it nice and hot. A pleasing variety of flavored sweeteners. The table is preloaded with all the condiments you could think to need so few requests for essentials are needed. You get a jug of water to fill at your need, again, no wait for essentials. Now, on the note of wait, I thought my food took a bit longer than I expected. That was until my food arrived, smoky hot, carefully made with love. My waitress was sure to get the specifics of how I wanted my eggs, suggesting the perfect correction. I ordered my favorite brunch dish, a skillet. There's plenty options and even a build your own. I went with the Harvest, "all veggies", my waitress emphasized to assure I knew what I was ordering. The vegetables were chopped fine and sautéed well. Loaded with soft and crispy hash browns. 10/10. You get the choice of toast or pancakes. Normally included pancakes can taste mostly basic, just above toast and I rarely eat them all. But these pancakes, exceptional! I wish they served 3 as they are a bit thin and they are mouth watering; and I'm being greedy but it's an appropriate portion. They had a nice amount of waiters based on the amount of tables. The price is surprisingly less than what I expected to pay...leaving more room to tip! I'm going back! Get there!

Any vegan protein options or vegan pastries?

Is there outdoor seating? If so, is it dog-friendly?

There were none on the sidewalk when visited recently but they may put some out when it gets warmer. There’s none in back, just a parking lot.

It was around 11am on a random Sunday and about half full, which made for a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Right away, the service stood out. Our waitress was super attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. For drinks, I ordered a regular coffee and my significant other got the "Vitamin C" smoothie. The coffee comes in a surprisingly large mug and is refillable, which is a nice bonus. Because of that, I skipped the café de olla, but honestly I'd recommend trying it if you're not planning on refills. The smoothie was great--smooth, refreshing, and only mildly sweet. For food, we ordered the green chilaquiles, chicken enchiladas with red sauce, and the churro pancakes. The food did take about 30-45 minutes to come out, but everything arrived fresh. The chilaquiles were served with black beans, cilantro lime rice, and two eggs, topped with onions, sour cream, and cheese. The beans had a slight grilled flavor but were a bit mild overall. The rice, on the other hand, was light, fluffy, and perfectly seasoned with cilantro--definitely a highlight. The chilaquiles themselves were flavorful with just a slight kick from the salsa; I just wish they had a bit more onion for extra texture. The chicken enchiladas were excellent. Honestly the standout savory dish. Everything about them was well-balanced and cooked perfectly. Now the real star, the churro pancakes. These were amazing. You get a stack of four pancakes topped with a pecan sauce and served with two churros on the side. The pancakes are definitely on the sweeter side, but in the best way possible. The churros themselves were fantastic, honestly better than Xurro Factory in my opinion. Overall, this place really impressed me. The vibe is immaculate, blending Hispanic culture with a modern twist, and the food and service back it up. Definitely a spot I'd come back to and would be a great spot to take family, friends, and even a date.
