I've been to O'Sullivan's twice for their excellent trivia on Tuesdays! It gets busy especially if the weather is nice but the servers have been great and food comes out in no time. I used to work in a neighborhood bar like this and it's so nostalgic for me. It's not the most fabulous food or atmosphere but it's unassuming and the staff are all working hard to make sure you have a good time. Much preferred to several other similar establishments in the area. read more

Sally was our server back in July and we had an enjoyable experience. She was very kind and chatty with us. We were here for just a snack and drinks during lunch time. Sally recommended to me the shrimp ceviche ($15.95) which was very good and so fresh. There is a huge variety of salads and sandwiches, very hard to choose. I am glad we got the ceviche, it was a huge portion with lots of fresh shrimp and cilantro. It was more than enough for two people to share. I really admire the restoration of this old bar, it is quite beautiful and has some gorgeously restored copper ceilings. Would definitely come back here again. read more

Discovered this place because of late night cravings and hunger! Their kitchen was open when we called and so here we are. It didnt disappont. The food was surprisingly on point. The boyfriend even said that their ceviche was one of the best he had. We also ordered the patty melt it was good just missing some kind of sauce and it would have been perfect! Definitely dropping in again! Happy eating!!! read more

Great food and fantastic service. Felt comfortable and relaxed. Ambiance was excellent.

A lovely pub in Forest Park. Larger than average food choices, wide selection of beer on tap, and friendly wait staff. Worth a visit.

Cool bar where my brother was able to watch his football game while my friend and I had drinks. The bartender made me the perfect Dark and Stormy cocktail. read more

We frequent this establishment once every two weeks with food and drinks. We usually have a good night, however, we experienced rude, unprofessional behavior from one of the bartenders named Anthony. read more

Visited bar for fundraising event. That being said I didn't eat much but did enjoy some cocktails. The mint julep was made with very fresh mint and quality bourbon. This bar also had food. Husband and I split a burger and it was delicious. read more

The food was below average. The turkey club I had was ultra processed deli meat, and the bacon was charred to almost briquets. My boyfriend's fish with his fish & chips did not look good at all and were almost white as if old. Definitely not worth the cost and we will not be going here again. read more

This is my wife's and I's favorite place to go. I've had almost everything on the menu and everything is good, the drinks are amazing, and the service is so friendly! The prices are also the best I've found and the place is really nice! read more

Male bartender was awesome, but female was very rude. We were only bringing good vibes to the bar. Refuse to accept rude behavior from some flunky who was just trying to get out early. So many better options in the area. Fat Duck is so much better so head that way. read more

A good solid option with a nice enclosed outdoor seating area. Visited for the first time on Friday (August 6, 2021). Our server, Meghan was great. Attentive and helpful. There's an option to use your phone to get their menu. I'm deducting a star because the drink/cocktail options are somewhat limited if you don't want beer or wine and nachos with no meat (just cheese, pico, onions and jalapeños) was $14! It would seem that it should be less than if you had steak or carnitas on it and if it's the same price, maybe the portion should reflect that. Any who, I'd never, ever, buy them again at that price point even though they were pretty tasty. read more

Bartenders are friendly. They have Smithick's - one of my favorites. :) My go-to orders are the soutwest salad with chicken or the burger. Can't miss. read more

Met some friends for a few pints and some appetizers. Typical Irish looking pub. Decent beer selection. Guinness was poured properly. Bartenders were friendlyish. Prices were average. Got wings and they were a bit soggy but big and hearty. Nachos were good homemade tortilla chips. Plenty of tv's to watch the game. Nothing stood out good or bad. read more

Great place to watch a game! Good food, good drinks, great ambiance. Server was attentive and friendly. We will be back!

Big thanks to our server! A couple things went wrong during our visit and she made it right! She did not present with attitude when we expressed our concerns and worked quickly to resolve our issues, that's great customer service! I enjoyed everything we ordered and I can't wait to come back and try something else! That apple martini was so strong, I could barely taste the apple liqueur! If you ever want to get a quick buzz with inexpensive drinks this is your place! read more

Overall, fantastic food and am looking forward to returning! We started with the spinach artichoke dip but requested tortilla chips instead of pita chips. The chips were freshly fried and would absolutely get them again. The spinach artichoke was good but it was thinner than I usually like. My toddler loved it but I think I'd like to try the chips with guacamole next time. I got the Southwest salad but added fried breaded chicken and got a side of honey mustard. I was attempting to recreate an old favorite. And it was perfect! The chicken was breaded and fried in house. They tortilla strips were also fried in house and perfectly crispy. The lime cilantro dressing that came with it was good and light. I did appreciate the occasional sweetness from the honey mustard that I added. I didn't eat much of the bread that came with it because I was getting full but it was fine. I also got a gin tonic that was good. My wife got the Marengo salad and enjoyed it. She would get it again. My daughter enjoyed the burger and sweet potato fries. She finished her entire plate. Service was great. They were attentive with most everything but I wish they had little pitchers of water for the table for refilling. But that's nit picky and I was impressed with their efficiency on a Friday night. read more

So this pub is within walking place of our new home. My husband had gone a few times to watch the game and said the food was good. He enjoyed the atmosphere most of all. It definitely feels like your local pub where everyone knows everyone! The waitresses are nice. They have a few arcade games in the back and even a little table that has a few coloring books, crayons and markers to keep your little people busy. I got what I would normally get on a football Sunday. Jack Daniels and coke. It was strong, made right. Hubby got a Maker's Mark. The food was just bad folks. The potato skins looked like skin and were so badly burnt. The cheese was HARD. My rueben was so bad. Bless it's heart. The mozzarella sticks were bricks and the mac and cheese was decent but needed SEASONING! I also got some steamed veggies that looked and tastes like the ones in the back of my freezer I keep for a rainy day. Eh, a las 3 stars bc hubby swears we caught them on a bad night and it's a cute bar. We might definitely come back for a drink. read more

Came and sat at the bar. Wasn't busy, they just ignored me. I left after about 15min.

This place is our favorite bar on Madison street and the food/drinks are good, specifically the onion rings and southwest salad, but they took the portobello burger off the menu and there arnt any veg sandwich options left :( read more

First time here on account of high recommendation from a coworker. Order the wings and shrimp ceviche with the corn beef dinner as an entree. The corn beef was alright. Wings were good, however the shrimp ceviche was the best part. Out server was great. She's very quick and responsive and a great attitude. The bar runs on the smaller side, but has a nice atmosphere. read more

My boyfriend and I come here regularly to watch football. The service is great and the food is good for bar food. Would recommend the wings, sweet potato fries and any of the salads! Great neighborhood bar. The food has always been good and there is a lot of variety. The drinks aren't always my favorite. They don't seem like they are ever very strong and often feel a bit watered down. (blaming ice on this one) The staff is super kind. You get just the right amount of attention. read more

The bar was packed on Saturday, June 1. My friend and I were celebrating the end of the school year and sat at the bar. I think that the bartender who was waiting on us was new. I asked to order a non-alcoholic beer, and instead of telling me the non-alcoholic beers, he handled me the menu, pointed and walked away. The bathrooms are tiny and we were bumping into each other. There was a Bells promotion, a man was engraving glasses, but my friend and I were never told about it, even though he ordered a few of those beers. The food was really good, maybe I will do carryout sometime, but the bar staff is very inept. Later, I had not finished my non-alcoholic beer, but it was removed with my food plate. JOE, the manager, seemed uncaring when I complained. I will not be returning to this place, but they probably don't care. read more

Excellent corned beef and homemade fries and coleslaw. Will definitely order again. Love that it's 2 blocks from my house and has late hours. I missed ordering from a place up the street, I'm glad I did! read more

Server was amazing. 6pm on a Friday night. Was the first table on the outdoor patio area as the place filled up. In 2 hours I only saw 2 people waiting for a table .. our server (I think she mentioned her name was Fiona?) was amazing. Food for 5 people took over an hour. NONE of the tables out here had food. Everyone was asking where their food was. After some time another table was informed they were out of the chili she had ordered. 3 of which we ordered were the Lou's grilled cheese. I can't even tell you how terrible this sandwich looked. Needless to say I didn't eat any of it. And had to leave by 8 so couldn't waste time for a new one to be made. This sandwich is on their menu. With all the added items. How do you add chopped tomatoes AND a slice of tomato to your "specialty"? This was far from a grilled cheese. Would come back for drinks but absolutely never for the food. read more

When I order beef, I always order it "as rare as you can legally make it." Often I get a medium burger or steak. But not here! My burger was a rich, delicious red. Excellent onion rings as well, and attentive service even on a busy weekend. I will definitely be back for the cost Irish pub vibe and high quality eats! read more

My Wife and I go to O'Sullivan's for dinner pretty regularly. Sometimes it is very busy but the service is always good. We like the food, they have a soup de jour which is usually very good and they have specials every day. The prices are reasonable and the bar tender always makes a great Manhattan. They have a great selection of beer, If there is a popular sporting event on television it is very crowded, but we have never had much of a wait for a table or for service. read more

The wings here are great and the outdoor space is perfect. Also great beer and great hours
