The best part about this location is the service. The bartender and waitresses are all very friendly, and they come check on you several times throughout your meal. The food itself is very OK. We got the grilled cheese with tomato, and it was fine but room temperature. The fries were also under seasoned and needed quite a bit of salt. They have a large selection of drinks, a be prepared as many of them are not available. We had to ask for three different drinks before they had one of them available from their drink menu. Atmospheres is also pretty good. The lighting is a little dim, however, it is great. Come here on Tuesday night at 8 PM if you want to participate in some trivia as well!

My man, Dan, ordered the French Dip and Guinness Beef Stew! - A man with dark hair, wearing sunglasses on his head and a floral shirt, is seated at a table with various dishes, including French fries, a sandwich, and a bowl of stew. The restaurant has wood-paneled walls decorated with framed pictures, and other diners, including children and an older man with a beard, are visible in the background.

This place is fantastic! My number 1 complaint is that everything was so sticky! The floor was sticky, the chairs were sticky (but wicked comfortable), the menus were sticky... just... sticky! I have no idea what they could even do about that or if they'd want to do anything about it, but I did not love the sticky... Food -- I had the "Shepherd's Pie" or Cottage Pie as it would culinary be called. It had nice, roasted (not ground) hunks of beef and bits of carrot, corn, surrounded by a moat of gravy. Absolutely divine -- I've had several of these pies and often there's too much cheese, but they put just the right amount of cheese to make a crust and left it at that! I took "home" leftovers to our hotel and actually had it cold, on the road the next day and it was great road food -- like a deconstructed pasty. Two people in our party had the beef stew (which is where I suspect the beef comes from for the "Shepherd's Pie") HUGE chunks of stewed carrots! Dripping in gravy, I read that many people said there would be leftovers and it was a huge dish, but neither person took home leftovers of the beef stew. Someone ordered the fries and it came with the horseradish sauce. I'm not a huge fan of that sinus-cleanser spice, but this sauce was well-balanced and very yummy. The fries were average, an okay vehicle for the sauce. All around -- I'd definitely go back and recommend. Perhaps go after a fancy event, not before (like we did!)

Three shot glasses are positioned on a dark wooden bar counter, with two containing a dark amber liquid and one with a clear liquid. The background shows a refrigerator with glass doors and some bottles inside, indicating a bar or pub setting. The lighting is dim, and the focus is on the glasses and the wooden surface.

This was the place that I had my first drink as a 21 year old, before going downtown to celebrate. Years later I popped in during my grandmothers wake, for a shot in her honor with my brother and dad. The service is great. I love the interior and the beer garden, it was honestly what we needed during a long, and sad day. I also appreciated the nostalgia. Glad to see this place is still around after all these years!

    And here we are!!

It's great being amongst the Southside Irish, especially during St. Patrick's day weekend. What a friendly greeting, we said it was our first time here so the gentleman took us for a tour of all the rooms and outside areas before we landed in our own room, by the entrance. Such friendly service overall and we decided on the chicken strips - which were plentiful, the Reuben burger - which was unique, and the corned beef and cabbage - which prevented me from cooking my own St. Patty's meal. FYI, their corned beef and cabbage is so much better than my home made version. While being in this pub atmosphere - I couldn't help but think of the Emerald Isle, Trinity, Waterford, Kilkenny, Kiliman Gaol, Jameson, Guinness, County of Cork, Ring of Kerry, the Cliffs of Mohr, Dublin, Teeling, Galway, etc. Thank you Irish Times, for that brief feeling of being back in Ireland. This reprieve was very much needed. And thank you for the great food as well. Top of the evening to ya!!

Ordered a $16 wedge salad for pickup. I'm just gonna leave the picture to show what I got. There are no words. Just...never again.

Fish & Chips - A plate of fried fish fillets with French fries, accompanied by coleslaw, tartar sauce, and a lemon wedge, is placed on a bar counter. In the background, there is a liquor shelf with various bottles, along with drinks including a glass of water with a straw and a glass of beer. The setting appears to be a bar or pub environment with a wooden bar and dim lighting.

Fun food. Attentive staff. Worst men's bathroom of any restaurant I've ever been in bar none, gas stations and bus terminals included.

Great place with great vibes and food. Everyone is very nice and it's a quiet local spot. Food fresh and the beers cold. Cheers.

Excellent bar food to share as well - the nachos plate is truly one of the better bar nachos I've had, with loads of melted cheese and plenty of toppings. The ceasar salad was great too with actual fresh lettuce (sometimes hard to get at a dive bar). The spinach and artichoke dip is tasty and delicious when consumed hot and fresh. The tots and fries are great - the crinkle cut kind. Drinks are pretty decent too! They make a great margarita and aperol spritz. A fun suburbs find!

Revisiting tonight left me feeling disappointed to have to leave a 2 star review. A local high school playoff game left Kenny's staff organization and service subpar. Their team was hustling to keep up but simply couldn't with demand of an unexpected full house. Upon arrival, we quickly saw it was packed and loud. We sat ourselves at a table and after 15 minutes of no one coming to us, I went to find our own menus. We flagged down a server who unkindly told us we weren't her table. When our server did come, we decided to order everything at once to not delay. Our appetizer came out with our entrees which was disappointing and then had to ask for silverware. Our server never checked in on us once we got our food but only when we needed the bill and a box. Thankfully we didn't need refills on our drinks but waiting another 10 minutes just to pay our check. The only saving grace was the food. Their menu offerings are simple but tasty. I've never seen them this crowded when I've visited in the past but sadly I wish I had dined somewhere else tonight. I hope my next trip back when in the area can prove to be an improvement from tonight!

My friends and I have stayed away from here due to rude staff, riff raff, fights, etc. in the last several years. We decided to give them a try a week ago as we were assured by another patron that it was under new ownership. The new owners supposedly cleaned house and removed all the previous troublesome staff. Everything seemed to have improved from our visit here a week ago, but that's because Michelle was not there. We had zero issues with the staff that day, we were served without issue, and overall we thought the renovations were an improvement. The prices have gone up but they have added premium beverages to their selection. Unfortunately, Michelle was not included in the staff overhaul, and mistreated my friend during a recent visit. It is a real shame that The Cordial Inn continues to have problem bartenders, because this place *used* to be a gem. It's now a far cry from cordial. The interior renovations are not worth it for any of us to tolerate disrespectful behavior from bar staff. I am beyond offended that the new owners allow the bar staff to treat customers badly. There are plenty of other choices in the area, and my choice is to spend my money where the staff appreciate my money and patronage.
