Came here for a few drinks and tried some of the typical bar food. It's a pretty basic looking place. Off Broadway Pub is located close to that Brookfield street. Located on Monroe to be exact. The menu isn't anything fancy but it has pretty good prices and you get a lot. As long as the expectations aren't too much, this will be a pretty okay bar. It has about what you would expect. This is a bar that always seems crowded because there isn't much space. Most people here live around it. There's cheap beers along with crafts and liquors. A few fancier ones in bottles. It's about $3 for an Old Style. The food is the usual kind of stuff in a bar like this. It's about $8 for pretzel sticks. Probably the healthiest item on the menu, the truth. Lots of the classic favorites. There's wings if looking for something greasy and meaty. Go here and mingle with locals. It's not as bad when it's not crowded, which is never of course so it's always like that. The prices are okay for the drinks and food, and that helps it be a pretty good value. read more

The servers are friendly, and I like the outside patio a lot! The food is definitely bar food, greasy, fried, not healthy etc. but every so often, that's what I'm in the mood for. It has a down to earth atmosphere, and you can't go wrong with $2 tacos on Mondays (why not Taco Tuesday is beyond me lol). The only thing that I guess can go wrong, is one time they charged me $8 for sour cream, but I mentioned it, and the next time I came in they deducted it from my bill without any problems, so I liked how easy of a fix that was. On another visit I was charged $.50 for cheese on the meatball marinara sandwich even though it said it was supposed to come with cheese... I think they really have to start reviewing these bill mistakes. The fries are really delicious. I thought I was crazy but this has been confirmed by the group of people I was with. 4/09/22, we went to Off Broadway later in the night with a large group of friends to finish off our night. Two of my friends ordered shots, and they were served BLEACH. Not kidding, nor do I have any kind of agenda against this place as I'd not been here before. One of my friends took it, spit it out, approached the bartender who served it and her response was "Oh, sorry. We do keep the cleaning products next to those bottles" WHAT?! First, I placed multiple orders here over the last year. I placed an order tonight, and after waiting an hour, I saw the order was canceled. When I called OBP, I was told some "driver" picked it up (likely not a Grubhub driver), and "Grubhub called back and said we had to remake it. Who's gonna pay for that? Not us? They refunded your order". Great. So to summarize, I'd have happily paid for this order again, but to hear that, with no uncertainty, the customer DOESN'T matter- awesome, considering somehow it was my fault that OBP didn't verify it was a Grubhub driver? So Grubhub and OBF screw up, and when I call to inquire, the response is to tell me it's being refunded and nothing else? This is how you lose business. Although, when you're response is "poor Off Broadway," your customers likely aren't on your mind anyway. read more

My friend Debra B. had a Groupon, so I accompanied her to dinner. Yay for trying new places! We both had the Bleu Cheese Burger, which was pretty good: hand packed, meaty, bleu-cheesy, and sized larger than the bun. Luckily mine was cooked to order! It was missing some seasoning, so we used a little A1. The fries were hot and crispy. Service was a bit flippant, but I'm not sure if our waitress was the only one covering both us (in the back dining room) and the front bar. I don't know what drink prices are since I didn't imbibe. It would be a decent food option if you WERE there for drinks. Overall, though, Off Broadway doesn't stand alone as a "food destination" for me. read more

Even after receiving a call from the establishment, most of our food was wrong . . . added gravy to food which was expressly asked to be gravy free, wrong salad dressing, different entrees from those ordered . . . Biggest problem? We didn't get our pizza. We got a call from the vendor even before we could contact DoorDash. We asked them to have the pizza delivered (which IS an option because we order through DD a lot) and . . . here we are the next day still waiting. I've heard the food was good here, so I bought a groupon to try it. This place is a total dive, but it has many loyal patrons. Street parking was easy to find. When I walked in, I was immediately assaulted by the smell of the bathroom- not good. I went to sit in the back with a friend, and thankfully, the smell did not reach that far. We both ordered burgers- I had the bacon and cheese burger. Comes with fries and 4 measly pickle slices. The burger was flavorless even with the cheese and bacon on it. I didn't know bacon could have no flavor too! It's my own fault for not saying anything, but it just wasn't good. Its known for its wings, which I'm thinking I should've tried. I was there on a Thursday and the place was dead. Service was good! Couldn't make up for that stench and poor food though, which was still there when we left. Ick. Love this local joint. I've been coming here for as long as I can remember, as has my husband and all his friends. It's a quaint little bar with an extended seating area in the back. There is video gambling, wedged in between the 2 areas, but it surprisingly doesn't impede traffic too badly. I usually always order a burger, well done, with blue cheese crumbles, bacon cripsy and dill pickle chips. It's always done perfectly, and the flavors meld together to the point where sometimes, I crave one and we have to go in! Beers are always cheap and flowing. My favorite bartender (John) is a nice Irishman who is respectful, attentive, and so sweet. :-) On Wednesday (I think?) they do a wing night special ($7 for a dozen) and when I tell you people talk about their wings......oh boy! I'm not a wing person, but my husband and numerous friends would travel far distances for a bath of OBP wings. I must say, I've tried their "boneless" wings and to me, they're nothing but small, poorly breaded nuggets of chicken so if you don't mind bone in, opt for those. It can get crowded if there is a band playing, as it usually sets up in front of the bar, near the entrance. But, when it's nice outside, I like to bring our dog and sit out in front, on their patio. Having grown up in Brookfield, I've lived near Off Broadway for quite some time. Everyone knows, or should know, that it's not a fine dining establishment. It's mostly a hole in the wall bar with cheap drinks and good bar food. Pizza and wings were good years ago when I had them, salad and sample platter was great just the other day. For just under $20 we got a huge platter with lots of goodies to eat. And the salad had real, freshly cooked, bacon pieces on it! The two of us couldn't even finish everything! My love of Off Broadway is only based on weeknight visits for dinner. We've sat in the bar or the back restaurant area. Either way, it's nothing more than what you think it is. It's a neighborhood bar that serves food. The drinks are cheap compared to the city and the food is good. The menu is extensive and the wings are outstanding. The only weird thing is that even if you're sitting at the bar, a waitress takes your food order. Just tell your bartender that you'd like to order food and you'll be taken care of. Got a Groupon for the place. Never heard of it before, but glad we tried it. It actually took us 2 times to try it. The first time, we walked in, and right back out. It's an old man, corner neighborhood bar. Not a restaurant. The next time, we ordered to go. The wings are what we're told are worth the drive alone and they didn't fail. So now, we decided to try them again and go in. If the food was good on a to go order, they must be better in person. So we braved on. They took us through a back room area. It was pretty dark, dank and smelled like propane, but never the less. Sat down to a table. Only one other table eating in there during a Saturday afternoon lunch hour. Not really a good sign. Ordered the wings first thing, then burgers, potato skins and drinks. It took a little while, but again, worth the wait. The wings are VERY GOOD. Everything else wasn't bad either. Nice variety on the menu. Friendly wait staff. I would love to give this hole in the wall a higher score, but 2 things held that back. 1. The place itself. Dark, run down, dirty and dated. Still surprised they even had a place to sit down to eat. Not really family friendly. People huddled out front as you walk in smoking kinda stinks (literally). So to even get in the place, you have to walk through the smokers lounge. 2. While the wings flavor themselves taste really good, they are a little on the small size. Especially for the price. About $10 for a dozen. I guess what I'm saying is, don't judge a book buy it's cover here. The food is worth it. read more

Off Broadways food is much better then their service. The front bar area is smaller and fills fast for dinner, there is a seating area in the back as well that hold probably 40-50 people. We go a lot during lent for the all you can eat fish fry, it is one of my husbands favorites. The food is good and comes out correct just not very fast so go and order before you are starving. I give this place 4 stars because their wings are the best I have ever had. I get them every week. Eating in is ok. There is like 2 ladies there that are phenomenal at their job. The others really just make the place feel down and miserable. It's a total dive bar. The back room is always nice and quiet in my opinion. I am not picky and it' s comfortable to me. One bartender there makes the best jack and coke and the other bartender was terrible. I don't like my drinks dinky and watered down with ice. My dad is a frequenter of all bars in the Brookfield area and took me here since I needed food AND a tv for the Hawks. The seating is great and I was attempting to be healthy and ordered a salad. It was decent but watery. Server was nice but slow since she was the only server for the large crowd. My dad, being the devil on my shoulder, ordered the wings. My dad is a GENIUS and always knows best. Not the greatest place, but 4 stars simply for the wings. Nothing fancy or overly friendly about this place. It's a neighborhood joint full of neighborhood folks. I was here on a Sunday afternoon and there were about 20 people in the bar, mostly white men in their 40-60s drinking beer and talking amongst themselves. Basketball was on the handful of flat screens throughout. I was here for an order of wings not to make friends or socialize. I took a table in the backroom, which was easy to do since there was only one other person back there. I'm a bit of a wing freak. I prefer classic Buffalo style over smoked, bbq or other flavored types. I like my wings with carrots,celery and blue cheese dressing (chunky, if possible). The wings here are very good. They aren't the small pitiful kind you get at Buffalo Wild Wings or other such chain establishments. They're fairly meaty and well sauced. The carrots were a little weird... can they be soggy? It's the only word I can think that describes them best. No snap, no crunch, kinda limp actually. The celery was fine, nothing to snappy or crunchy either. The blue cheese wasn't chunky but it was tasty. $15 out the door including refillable pop. I'll be coming back for the $6 Wednesday night wing special. Tried to order the Saturday special, prime rib, for pick up. Was told that they don't have anymore. I asked "Did you sell out of it?" Answer was "No, we don't have it anymore". Then why haven't they updated their online menu and replaced the Prime rib special with something else? Ordered the ribeye instead. Was supposed to come with sautéed mushrooms and a baked potato. Came with two onion rings and a side of frozen California medley. When I phoned to tell them that they had forgotten to give me my baked potato, they asked "Are you sure". Yes, I'm sure, there is no baked potato in my bag. Their only solution was for me to drive ten minutes each way to pick up a baked potato. I told them the drive was too far and their response was "We don't offer credit to anyone, we're just a small restaurant". The steak was super chewy. The chicken Parmesan was a chicken tender, not enough sauce on the mostaccioli, and my kids said that the Mac and cheese was "edible, but nothing great". read more
