The food was good, but overpriced, so you're paying for that fanciful meal. They only had one item in the kid's section, and it was more expensive than items for adults often are--$19 for a kid's item. Truly wild. Since it was questionable if my daughter would eat the ham or eggs, I opted to get the breakfast board for the table since it had waffles, pancakes, and fruit. She was ecstatic when she saw it, and I was charmed by the presentation--it's October, so they had decorated it in a Halloween theme. They also had a Halloween menu, and the witches brew looked good, but we all stuck to the standard menu for our meal. I ordered the enchiladas suizas and it was very good, but again, overpriced I think. Mocktails are almost always too high (why am I paying alcohol prices for drinks without alcohol?) but I got one for my daughter and I anyway. Again, this restaurant knocks it out of the park with regards to presentation. They had a lot of seating indoors, and there were tons of tables outside as well. I'm not sure if they were totally following the 90-minute rule today because even though it was a beautiful Sunday at the beginning of October, we were seated immediately and there were tables available both in and outdoors the entire time we were there. But anyway, be forewarned that they have a time limit for tables, so you don't want to spend forever making your decision. There's no dedicated parking lot for the restaurant, so you'll be looking at the surrounding streets or the couple lots that are nearby. No reservations accepted.

But this waitress not acknowledging any issue or trying to make it better and talking back to us like this is weird. So I just say, "Bring a manager over." Well...it didn't matter. This lady learned her attitude from somewhere and it was probably from the manager. The manager immediately is on the offense like, "you ordered a soup and we wanted you to have the soup hot. And we want your next meal to be hot. We make everything fresh and we clean our dishes in between." The heck? All we want is for my friend to be able to eat his main. So I say, now rudely, "just bring the food. We have waited 30 minutes now. Everyone is done with their meal. If you haven't made it, cancel the order and we'll go somewhere else." She responds, "we usually serve the starter first. If you didn't like that, then don't order a starter." SERIOUSLY!? What is happening!? I think about telling her that USUALLY even if only 1 person has ordered a starter, that gets served first before EVERYONE gets their mains TOGETHER. Instead I say, "listen, cancel the order or give us the food but we aren't waiting any longer." And she goes, "we can't cancel it. The kitchen has been working on it." So I say "this better be home baked bread because they've been working on it for 45 minutes by now." IT STILL takes another 5 minutes to get this meal. It is cold. It is an average Croque Monsieur. And they probably all spit in it. At the very end, the waitress comes over and says, "I see what you mean and there were coursing issues but we take pride in our food and we weren't going to degrade that so we could serve you faster." For foodies, know that they use quality ingredients. Excellent cheeses. Bread that was soft yet stood up to the toppings. I appreciated how helpful Carol was with special food needs (GF, vegan, etc). Staff confirmed with each person what they were getting the day of the event. She was also very helpful in general. I live in Texas, have never been to Suzette's and felt at ease that it would all pull together. Parking in the garage across the alleyway was a bonus. So convenient. I highly recommend them for your small event (room holds 30ish people). They were also very accommodating to the small children who attended so bonus family friendly.
